Not sure why there are so many poor reviews but I ordered a bunch of stuff from this company for a backyard wedding and from start to finish they were great. The staff on the phone is super helpful and friendly. I had NO IDEA what I was doing preparing for a 25-person party and they really helped. Prices were great as well. I rented a tent, tables, side walls and lights for a birthday party. The tent was dirty with patches and holes. One table I had to wire it at the supports so it would stay up without falling. The side wall had burns in them covered with blue painters' tape. Not able to cover the burn marks. Velcro that attaches the side walls had dirt and some kind of hair on them. What was sent to me was nothing like what they advertise online. I called the same day it was installed to address the side wall burns only to be told there was nothing they could do that day or the next. They were busy. While the installers were professional. The Good customer service is lacking. I would never use this company again. Or refer them. read more

The tent, the table and the chairs were filthy nothing like in the photos. My tables and chairs were also placed on a slant. None of my guess were able to sit on them. They were afraid of falling backwards. We had 3 acres plenty of room for them to install the tent on a flat surface, we contacted the company to try to compensate us. Everything arrived when they told me it would, everything was clean and in great shape. The linens were exceptionally clean....the set up/ take down crew were professional, friendly and funny...even though we were in a middle of heat wave, they all kept their sense of humor. Hosting a wedding reception in our backyard for 130 people we needed two tents - one for the party (30 x 60) and a second for the dance floor (20 x 30). The tent guys came three days before the event to set up. Seven guys for two hours and they set everything up, including the tables, chairs and lighting. it was exactly what we needed and was a perfect fit for the yard. Unsure of what the weather would be (yes it rained that day) we also opted for two propane heaters and side panels for the main tent. It made a big difference! For the dance tent the bride and groom wanted a clear top so they could "dance under the stars". While they didn't have one that size in stock they readily obtained one for us. The crew was back on Monday morning to pull everything down. Clean and quick, they did a great job and provided everything we needed. Highly recommended!! read more

They delivered disgusting dirty chipped chairs they were ready for the garbage not a party. Called immediately to get new chairs no one answered my daughter was in tears. They offered me 25.00 credit towards another party total slap in the face. They said I signed the contract. No the chairs were delivered the day before the staff signed to say they were delivered, now I'm disputing with my credit card company. This company does not care about their customers at all. I'm happy that I was able to cancel and go with someone else. It started with them telling me when they are going to deliver what I ordered. We agreed on a time prior and now the time we agreed on doesn't work for them. When I asked them to please honor the time we agreed on, the lady I spoke to was very nasty unreasonable and incompetent. So a day before my event I decided to go with another company and cancel my business with them. On July 22nd I called the Suffolk Tent to rent 30 chairs. They quoted me for the chairs and added at $35 delivery fee for the trip out. On August 7th they called me to tell me that they were raising the delivery fee to $75. The party that I needed the chairs for was set to be on August 10th. They did this because they were trying to trap me into this price. Upon review of my invoice, I noticed that they had the address clearly printed on the top, including the town. They knew how far it was when they quoted the $35 fee. During the back and forth with Andrea who took my order, I had asked to speak with Mike (the owner who sent the invoice). Mike never called me, despite Andrea promising that he would so that we could discuss the fee. I wouldn't be surprised if this is something that they frequently do to trap people into paying more money. Luckily, I was able to rent the same chairs at my original price from At Your Service Rentals - they are more professional, faster, and provide a higher level of customer service. Horrible customer service.. i ordered a tent 10 tables and 60 chairs for my engagement party. When It was time for them to be delivered i asked Mike to work with me on the time everything would be delivered so i could be home when they arrive and he proceeded to tell me i had no choice on when they arrive and he did not want to work with me at all. So i paid a lot of money to a company who has zero care in helping their customers. He was rude and not only that i RUSHED home from work to be there for the delivery and they did not show up until 9:00 that night. Don't waste your money on these people. read more

This company is the absolute WORST!! We hired them for a HS graduation ceremony. The equipment was rusty, a chair broke when a teacher sat on it, the railings were duct taped, the skirting on the stage was TAPED on with black tape, the "steps" were actually blocks used as steps, we could not reach anyone on the phone for information and to discuss problems with. We had to use plants & balloons to disguise the tape & falling skirting. After all of this, the company had the nerve to charge to charge us more than the quoted amount. Tent was riddled with holes Mildew and mold everywhere. light globes had a short Michael owner would not refund me for the money for the tent insulted me by stating I signed the contract and would only offer me a store credit of $100 or a $75 refund terrible business man wouldn't call me back had his staff tell me this. disgraceful! If I could give this company 0 stars I would. We ordered a 30x40 tent with 12 tables and 120 chairs for our ENGAGEMENT party this past weekend. We placed the order and gave the 250$ deposit weeks in advance. Everything went smoothly in doing so, and we were set for having them come and set up Thursday 9-11am (the party was Sat). No calls were made to us and no tent showed up. We called them back Thursday night asking when they were coming to our house. They responded saying that the rain delayed all of their clients and that they would be at our house Friday morning between 9 and 11am. No calls, no tent, and it was 6pm Friday night. We called multiple times asking what the deal was and the man who kept answering the phone couldn't give less of a shit about us. He said "well cancel if you need to", he wouldn't call the driver on the truck stating that they didn't have their phone numbers to get in contact with them. We finally asked to speak with the owner, but the man wouldn't give us his phone number or put him on the phone for us. An hour later the owner called us stating that he did not know what time the truck would get to our house and it MIGHT be done the next morning (hours before the party of 150 people). I told him it was unacceptable and he said that we could cancel and receive our deposit back. This was the same week as July 4th and graduation parties and no other tent companies were available to rent THE DAY BEFORE our engagement party. I don't usually write online reviews, but this company has proven it does not care about its customers. We rented a tent, a frozen drink machine and a cotton candy machine recently for our son's graduation party. The tent had hundreds of pinholes we didn't notice until the day after it was set up, and was also dirty; thank goodness it didn't rain. The two machines were also filthy and sticky, and smelled, so we had to clean them to even try to use them. The margarita machine leaked and the mix never froze, making it useless. We left multiple voice mails and messages with a receptionist, who said that she would pass along our concerns to Mike El Masri, the owner. No return call, no email, not even an apology, much less an offer to refund any of our money for products that didn't work and were dirty. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I want to give 0 stars! I ordered chairs 6/1/2021 for my preschool graduation. I have an invoice saying the date I needed the chairs. The delivery date was left blank. I called Wednesday to make sure they were coming Friday. They were suppose to call me to confirm and never did, so I called them Wednesday. I spoke to FRANK. Frank said my chairs will be delivered Thursday, sometime in the afternoon. He did not give me a time frame. I called today, Thursday to confirm my chairs were coming, once again they never called me so I had to call them. When I called Thursday they told me they do not have my order and my chairs weren't coming. Frank also lied and said he did not speak to me the day before!! I have the record of the phone call!!! Ridiculous I then asked to speak to a manager, Nicky was put on the phone, he was very rude. Nicky and Frank were so rude and unprofessional to me. I will never go to their company again. In August I rented a portable bar and $300 worth of table linens to be delivered and picked back up for a family party. We were never given a call the day before delivery to give us a window of time of the delivery. I happened to call and was told that items were on the truck and out for delivery. We then had to scramble to the club house to have someone there awaiting the delivery. Pick up was just as bad. My poor 70 year old aunt had to wait hours at the club house for pick up and then no one showed! She had to call and have them come back out the next day. Should you decide to rent here, I would be very on top of calling them about delivery and pick up. read more

My cousin has used this company for several years so when we decided to have a party, we called Suffolk Tent. We rented a tent, tables, chairs and a double door fridge. Everything from start to finish was fantastic. My every question and concern was addressed quickly and professionally, even when I needed to change my order a little because more people we coming than originally anticipated. The big fridge rental was a HUGE hit!!! No digging around in ice cold water in several coolers trying to find your choice of beverage!!! Our guests were able to choose their beverage like they were at a deli. The best part about the tent was that it came with lighting so the party didn't have to end when the sun went down. Don't rent from this company. Very unprofessional. I got two different quotes each time I called. Local delivery was free with one person on Sunday and when I called Monday all the sudden I had to fight to get what I was originally told. Numbers on the contract didn't match what I was quoted. Tent was in good condition but they never put up the lights that was in the package I ordered because it wasn't written for the workers. They came LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER MY PARTY TO GET THE TABLES AND CHAIRS. They did not follow what they said they would do, they showed up unannounced while my whole party was still set up with decorations and everything before noon the following day when it should have been 1-2 days later. I had to leave my guests and clean up in the heat of the day so they could take their tables and chairs which they probably double booked Bc they left the tent there until the following day. I sent an email explaining how unhappy I was with the unannounced early pick up and did not even get a courtesy email back with any type of apology or explanation. Which I guess makes sense because they are paid already and just don't care. Save yourself the aggravation and go with someone who will do what they say and not change things as they go. read more
