Being able to stroll around before or after dinner really adds to the overall experience and vibe of the area. I chose to sit on the patio, which was relaxing and perfect for enjoying the atmosphere. I ordered the cucumber salad, gyoza, edamame, and chicken pho. The appetizers were fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. I especially enjoyed the cucumber salad and gyoza! I usually LOVE pho, but this visit was my own fault because I forgot to ask them to omit a few ingredients I normally don't eat, so I sadly didn't enjoy the pho as much as I typically would. Even so, the broth itself was flavorful, and I could tell it would've been a hit had I customized it the way I normally do. The not so good news was the pad thai. We ordered it lightly spiced, one order with scallops-one with chicken. Unfortunately both pad thai were way over spiced, texture was very dry, loaded up with green peppers (not mentioned on the menu) and scallops were rubbery. Remove a few tables out front, expand the hibachi if it is selling and feature the sushi bar. We ate sushi and it was good. The rolls are tasty and the way it's plated elevates the dish. Had dinner there last night Jan 10 2025. The food was the typical hibachi, but they offer much more and sushi. The staff is fantastic. Chef Tu was engaging and very friendly. Servers Maria and Anna over the top! The interior needs a refresh. Get rid of the TV's, stereo and the extra shelving in the hibachi room - declutter! We will be back as we were made to feel like family there. The wine list is lacking but we were told that for a corking fee you can bring your own. Our 10th anniversary brought us to Myrtle Beach to celebrate, and this was the place we chose at random for our first night's dinner. We cruised down the strip and past all the buffets and pancake houses waiting for something to jump out at us. I wanted sushi and thought the sign and building looked sincere. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed and asked if we wanted to have hibachi or regular seating. We wanted sushi seating, and our hostess/waitress smiled and gestured toward the main seating area, where we selected our table. She gave us menus, sushi forms, and drink menus and asked what we would like to drink. Feeling fancy, we ordered off the vodka-heavy special drinks menu, a Salty Serpent (Ruby red grapefruit vodka, club soda, salt rim) and a lime version of a Moscow Mule with lime vodka that tasted like a green Lifesaver and spicy ginger beer. Both were strong and odd. We ordered sashimi and sushi rolls, and while our order took some time to prepare, you could see the effort in the artistic construction. The baby octopus was served in carved cucumber cups and marinated in a hoisin-type sauce that had a distinct cocoa taste. It was unique and very flavorful. I noticed the same flavor in the sauce on the eel roll. All of the ingredients were so fresh and skillfully prepared, and the service delightful. Price is as to be expected for the area, and typical for good sushi. The food was 5 stars, the timing of when the food came out was the only downside and rather chaotic (but that could have been because we ordered apps and mains at the same time). We ordered the tuna tower and mussels for apps - the waitress was clear that the mussels were prepared to each order and would take 15 minutes or so to come out which we were very fine with. Our soups and salads were served very quickly, then one of the mains came out, after that the apps came, then a bit later another main dish came out. Then finally the rest of the food came. So we were all done at different times and my kids got their food last even though they ordered edamame and a few rolls. The hibachi filet/scallop combo was so good, the meat was cooked to perfection. The tuna tower was our favorite and just the right portion size for 3 of us to share. The mussels were worth the wait - so tender and perfectly prepared. My daughter said her 3 roll combo meal was the best she has ever had! Me and my mom came here after a long day at a volleyball tournament and it was perfect. The food was very flavorful and all of it was hot and fresh. The serving sizes were pretty large and both of us definitely had enough to take home for leftovers, the prices were affordable too.
