I've gotten waxes and sugaring done plenty of times, so I was excited to see a highly rated sugaring spot. All my previous experiences have been so positive, so I was looking forward to possibly finding a new spot closer to where I live. When making your appointment, you choose the person you want. I had no idea who I wanted, so I just made a random choice. Upon entering the room, the girl that was doing my sugaring gave me instructions on what to do. When she came back into the room, she went straight to business. For my previous wax/sugaring experiences, they'd make sure that I'm feeling ok and try to minimize the pain. This girl was so quick, and I was really thrown off. She made no effort to talk to me and didn't really seem like she cared. I'm not looking to be friends with the staff, but I would appreciate some common courtesy of making sure I can continue with the sugaring, especially with some sensitive/painful areas. TLDR: First timers come early and be sure to read their pre-appointment instructions on Instagram. You WILL be charged a fee if you're more than 10 minutes late! Overall the store seemed very professional and I was very excited for my first sugaring appointment. I booked the day before and there was ample availability. Unfortunately there was an accident on the highway and I'm also not too familiar with the Downey area but it was quite congested. I ended up being about 15 minutes late to my appointment. I called ahead to let the front desk know but was informed if I was more than 10 minutes late, I would be considered a no-show and would be charged half the service fee. I acknowledge my mistake of not leaving earlier and giving myself more of a buffer to make my appointment but their late policy was very cold. With all the positive service Yelp reviews, I came in with the mindset of this place potentially be my new go to, but the inflexible policies may not be what you're looking for. If something were to go awry 24 hours prior to the appointment (ex. getting your period unexpectedly, address mixup, lack of instruction and failure to prep the skin properly, etc.) you will most likely be charged a cancellation fee. read more

I never really wrote a bad review and I never like to do so but I just wanted to share my experience in case someone is considering this like how I did. Ive never waxed before and I wanted to try a bikini wax due to getting bad razor burn in the past. I knew it would hurt and for that I'm not writing a bad review. Receptionists we're gI met with Thony due to her great reviews and due to being super anxious about this new experience I thought she would be the best for me! However when she started it was very straight to the point, which got me even more nervous but that's my own thing. I'm rating it 1 star because I was given a Brazilian wax instead of Bikini which is what I was expecting and ordered. By the time you realize you're getting the wrong wax, it's too late to go back and say "hey I didn't want this" cause the sugar is already placed or the hair is already ripped off. I have permanent damage now and the manager tried to blame it on "hyper pigmentation" when it is far from the case since the damaged area is considerably lighter than the rest of my skin and in the shape of the strokes that the waxer did repeatedly on the same area. When you make an appointment they send you a text message and confirm with you the day before which is always convenient for those that are forgetful like myself. Worst customer service ! This place advertises as the best, it's not ! This business schedules appointments and makes sure you confirm appointments via calls emails and text messages. This location will make sure that if you're late or need to reschedule within a certain time they will charge you. I totally get it if you're irresponsible but when you're a usual customer that's giving you business and is there on time every time and gets the worst treatment for a mistake your business made come on now you would be really upset. A girl by the name Darleen gave the worst attitude at the counter she obviously doesn't know what customer service is. I was apparently scheduled for a 12:30 appointment when days before I was contact by a scheduling person that my appointment was at 12:15 and kept getting called and text to confirm my appointment. There was not manager or owner on premises to speak to. It's not fair when you have a usual customer being there on time for an appointment when they made a mistake. Darleen never made an attempt to accommodate their mistake, she made my frustration worst. If you cancel or get there few min late for any reason you will be charge a percentage fee.
