I just had the worst experience with Dora Y. She is rude. I came in for a lash removal and she had just put the glue over my eyes. As I am laying there I hear her coughing so my natural reaction is to jump and open my eyes to see if she just coughed over my heard! She then YELLS at me "DONT OPEN YOUR EYES!!" I said ok: but in my head I'm like lady you just coughed over my head ! I'm couldn't tell if she had a mask on or not because she didn't have one on when I laid down. Very unprofessional and rude. Amanda has been doing my lashes for almost a year now and I truly couldn't recommend anyone better. She is so patient and creative. I used to get my lashes done at the Brea location which was great too and followed Chelsea to South Gate, but once I found Amanda at South Gate I stayed with her. She does a mix of wispy dramatic volume and 3D on mine and just started getting bottom lashes again and am very happy with her. I've been a client here for 6 months to a year, and until now my experiences were fine. Unfortunately, this visit completely changed my opinion. This business offers online booking, yet multiple times after booking, I've been contacted and told the time I selected was not actually available. Each time, they changed my appointment. While inconvenient, I was patient and understanding. This time, I booked online again and was once more told the appointment time I chose wasn't available. They attempted to move my appointment, and I simply asked if the time I booked wasn't available and they replied with no and the new times they had available. After that I had no choice but to accept the new time but after that message, they completely ignored me. No confirmation, no response, nothing. Ignoring a paying, returning client after changing their appointment is unprofessional and disrespectful. If online booking is inaccurate, it shouldn't be offered. And if a client is asked to adjust their schedule, the bare minimum is a response. What's most disappointing is that this could have been resolved with basic communication, but instead I was left hanging with no clarity about my appointment. I won't be returning, and I would caution others to be prepared for last-minute changes and poor follow-up. read more

I've been going to Moon Lashes for at least three maybe four years. I started at the Brea California location and then moved to the Buena Park location. I discovered Chelsea at BP and followed her to South Gate, Moon Lashes latest location. Chelsea does excellent work and pays attention to details. My lashes are long lasting and I fill them appropriately 3 to 3-1/2 weeks apart. They're light and I hardly feel them. Very comfortable and good quality. The best part is my lashes always last at least 3 weeks and the results are always consistent! They'd probably last longer if I wasn't such a hard side sleeper! No matter what Chelsea never rushes our appointments and is somewhat of a perfectionist as well. The lashes are always lined up great and Im not peeved at any lashes pointed in odd directions. Yes, I asked for Classic new set, but not expecting to come out with lash spacing and not even looking like I had eyelash extensions. I expressed my concern to the lady but she said it "LOOK FINE". I left and honestly was not satisfied. I paid big bucks for those lashes. Upon contacting her today to tell how unsatisfied I was, she replied hours later and said she would not be able to see me until a few days UGH! I leave on vacation in a few days I said. I won't say the name of the lash salon out of courtesy but I will be giving them a review (you can find it on my Yelp reviews ;) I went on Yelp and found this lash salon. I went online booked an appointment but had to wait for a reply..... I was so anxious I then found the phone number and I called them. The gentleman who answered said Amanda will be able to see you at 3 PM. Sure enough I get there not only is she friendly, She explains what the previous lady did wrong on my lashes. She starts working on my lashes and poof she did Magic! Now it looks like I have eye lash extensions! The price was a little expensive but I'm ok with it because it was worth it! Upon arrival, you notice the decor is chic and clean. To get an appointment is easy and fast and everything can be done online via their website. My lash artist is Eva and she is caring and attentive as you get your lashes done. She makes you feel comfortable and her work is quick, soft, and beautifully done. The retention for lashes are great. I didn't have to come back for five weeks and more than 60% were existent. I didn't lose lashes in batches either. It was lashes here and there that still made my lashes look wearable. I definitely recommend this place. I live more than 45 mins away but it's still worth the drive. read more

I booked an appointment for lash extensions, eyebrow and lip waxing. When I Arrived the technician asked to cancel my waxing before we started, (later in the appointment it became obvious she just wasn't comfortable with waxing) even saying that maybe the machine wasn't working today. although it was working when I made the appointment hours before. The lash tech tried to upsell me to the most expensive lashes, ignoring which appointment I had signed up for. SHe did try a sample lash to determine length ( which was way to long I would not have bean able to close my eyes while wearing my glasses which I wore to the appointment. I requested a shorter length which she said she would apply. When the lash portion was applied and I looked in the mirror the lashed were not spaced across my whole eye evenly (She missed the inner 1/4 of 1 eye) and all lashes were exactly equal length. She didn't do any lash mapping at all. On to the waxing the wax machine was working, she didn't apply the wax forMy, had to reapply in some places several times, did not apply pressure after remove the wax, and completely missed the spot between the 2 nostrils ( nor did she get the hairs coming out at the base of the nose so it doesn't look like you have extra long nose hairs) She called another technician over to do the eyebrows, but didn't tell me, I opened my eyes because I heard 2 sets of footsteps and saw the 2nd technician) I do not think she conveyed my eyebrow shaping request to the next technician, because While my eyebrows were waxed properly, cleanly and efficiently, they were not the shape or style I had discussed with the 1st technician ( the 2nd technician got up and walked away as soon as she was done waxing before I was given a mirror to look at them). While the salon was clean and service was prompt, I would 100% not recommend this salon. and now 2 weeks later when the lashed should still be good for at least 1 more week before a fill they are a mess, and I am having a hard time dealing with them to look presentable through out the day ( and yes now that they have grown a bit they are rubbing on my glasses, whic makes the whole day a chalenge while I look for someone to fix or remove this set. read more

Knowing it was my first time ever getting lash extensions, Amanda took her time explaining and walking me through what she recommended.
