Whenever I need a serious eyebrow wax and tint I go to Mari. She is a bit far from me (I live in Fullerton/Brea area) but she is WORTH the drive. I love going to her because her studio is the cutest and she is honestly the sweetest lady. Whenever I go in she always makes me feel welcome and talks to me as if she knew me my entire life. She knows what she's doing and I only really trust her when it comes to any sort of waxing of my eyebrows. To this day she still follows through with her own COVID policies by having the client wait outside or in the car. read more

1 star because Stephanie was very nice. 1 star because it's by appointment only and they follow Covid guidelines. Minus 3 because my skin was left raw and scabbed the next day. Also, the service is pretty pricey for what it is. Stephanie left some stray eyebrow hairs that could have easily been tweezed. Instead, I took care of them myself. I came here based on the good reviews and photos from happy clients. Unfortunately I didn't get the results those satisfied customers rave about. I understand that stylists work with what you've got but I've had my brows shaped much nicer at places that don't do "mapping" or charge as much. Thanks for the kind service but I won't be recommending this place. read more

Ladies!!! Mari is the BEST!!!!!! don't know where to start.. No other person has been able to shape my brows the way Mari has. She knows what she's doing. This is my second visit and I was "wowed" like the first time. I've always had thick brows but made the mistake of going to the threading places. They ruined my brows and never shaped them. When I came with Mari, she took the time to shape my brows. She showed the areas she was going to wax and the result was amazing. Oh and her place is freaking cute lol :) so girly, clean, so many adorable decorations. I loved it! The whole experience deserves an A+++++ lol I'm so happy I found her. read more

WORTH the drive!!! A little studio in the heart of Cerritos (Artesia) Brows by Mari is definitely the place to get your brows done. Mari is a very sweet and knowledgeable, her eye for detail and perfection is what sets her above the rest. She knows what looks good for every face and is able to transform your brows to something amazing! Although she is a 45 minute drive for me, I wouldn't trust my brows with anyone else. Mari is the best! I just had my first appointment with her yesterday and I will never trust anyone else with my brows again. I always thought my eyebrows were decent but after she worked her magic and mapped my eyebrows I couldn't believe how off they were. The best thing about Mari is she asks you what you want before she even does anything. No other eyebrow place asks what you want. You just sit down and they do what they want. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for about a decade now and over the years they've gotten really uneven. I found Mari on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! This girl is amazing! She transformed my eyebrows and did such a great job evening them out perfectly. I did an eyebrow lamination and wax and my eyebrows have never looked better. My eyebrow specialist that I've been with for 4 years moved away, so I had to start fresh and look for someone right away. I've tried other eyebrow specialists at the Sola Salons in Cypress as well as in Pasadena. They were just "okay." I had really high expectations because my previous specialist was THAT good. I was going to be at the Cerritos Mall for a meeting so I decided to Yelp eyebrow services around the area. Brows by Mari popped up and I read the awesome reviews. I haven't had my eyebrows done in over a month so I decided to give it a try. I messaged Mari and she told me to use the Style Seat app to book the appointment. Mari is located in the Sola Salons across the Cerritos Mall. It's kind of hidden but just follow the signs. Mari was really outgoing and friendly. She talks to you like you've been friends forever. Her suite appeared clean, relaxing, and organized. She takes measurements of your eyebrows and will communicate with you what she's going to do. It was a painless, fast process. I love Mari ! She is the sweetest ever. I've been coming to her for quite some time now. She has a lot of knowledge about brows. Honestly when I first started I had probably none. I used to go to get my eyebrows threaded and they just didn't do them the way I wanted too. I got to looking on yelp and found her here and boy I don't regret it. She worked with me and the growth of my brows. I remember in the beginning she was like I know it looks off but we are going to give your brows time to grow so we won't wax that area. I found Mari on Yelp. Her location and prices were ideal for me. Plus her client's reviews and photos were amazing. Mari greeted me by name when I arrived. Her process and safety measures with co-vid made me feel safe. She also made me feel relaxed as soon as I hit the chair. I've been seeing Mari for years now and OMG is she the real deal. No one and I mean no one touches my brows (I did a number on them in the 90s when over plucking was in). I've got all the nail shop ladies trying to get at them and i always tell them to hush bcuz if my brow girl even hears them say brows she will come out of the dark like a ninja and whip them. She has helped me grow them back and just recently I was taking a trip to Portland and decided to try tinting. Boy is this a service I'm getting done going forward. My brows are on point, I dont have to do anything to them. I wake up every morning looking like a damn rockstar. I've hiked, worked out and sweated my butt off and they look amazing. read more

I went there for the first time last week. Her shop is on the second floor of this mini mall located directly across the street from Cerritos Mall. As soon as I arrived, Mari was very welcoming and friendly. She listened to what I wanted and walked me through what she was going to do to my eyebrows. I originally went in to get my eyebrows done, but I came out with fab brows and waxed face (damn peach fuzz). Definitely going back. read more

Mari is very sweet and knows how to get eyebrows back in shape. However, be aware of your appointment time because you may end up getting in 10 minutes after your appointment time while waiting for someone before you to finish. It happened to me twice so far. I don't feel it's fair to add a charge to your clients for being late/cancelling when the brow artist could be about 10 minutes late to bring you in. Although, I can't complain because her service is amazing. She won't leave you disappointed with your eyebrows. read more

Brow queen! Mari is the best!!! She knew exactly what my husband and I wanted. She knows what brow shape fits your face. She truly is an expert. Aside from being an expert she is real, honest, sweet, fast and effective. Her studio is super clean and cute! She is pricey but you get what you pay for. I was tired of growing my brows out and going to these threading places only to come out disappointed bc they would go thinner and thinner each time. Okay fellow yelpers you got it right!! Brows by Mari AMAZING!!! Marissa is so sweet and she actually listens to what you want. I let her shape my eyebrows using her expertise and LOVE EM!!! On top of giving me the perfect brows she gave me some great tips on defining my brows with simple inexpensive tools. My brows look like i walk out of the MAC store and nope it was brows by Mari shaping with a little brow powder and highlight!. Today I had a brow appt with Mari but was seen by Stephanie due to Mari being sick. Let me tell you I love my brows and tint. Stephanie did such a good job. I told her I don't like them too thin. She listened and asked multiple times how I liked them even with the color of dye. Also the ease of booking your appt thru her booking site and payment was easy!!! I was referred to Mari by a coworker and I really loved her Work. However, I've experienced cancelations and no shows at the salon. Every single time I would go to my scheduled appointment she would not show up! It has happened to me several times . Lesson learned will not be going back. read more

This was my first time getting my brows done by Mari. I booked her off of the stellar reviews she has here on Yelp, but I was really disappointed with my experience. My eyebrows are good, not great, but what was most disappointing was the lack of professionalism and customer service. Mari seems like a cool person and was upbeat, but as soon as I entered she just asked me to sit down--no hello, welcome, how are you, asking what my name was or greeting me by name (referencing my appointment from Style Seat). As a first time client, you think you'd want to make a good impression for a repeat visit. She started quickly on my brows, not once asking me how I normally fill them in or what I wanted, she just started waxing. As a new client who paid for the reshaping service, I thought she would at least explain what she was doing and offer tips on filling in my brows, but nothing. Instead, she spent most of the time remarking on her previous client and her odd behavior and when it was all done just showed me my brows by mirror and asked how I wanted to pay. I was there for maybe 8 minutes. I was really looking forward to this, but expected more of a professional/personable salon experience than I received. Unfortunately won't be coming back. read more

Don't forget your girl does more than brows! I got my lip waxed for the first time in ten years (I threaded or tweezed, I didn't just have a hairy lip lol) and it didn't hurt at all and didn't leave any irritation! I was able to go back to work and not look crazy. She has the magic touch! read more

It is only fair that the same level of accountability be upheld on both sides. Customers are expected to respect the policy, and in return, the business should demonstrate the same consideration and reliability. Not be compensated with a $5 discount. When if I had canceled the appointment would have been charged $30. Experiencing this issue more than once concerns me about their consistency and professionalism. I hope improvements are made to better manage scheduling or compensation.
