Had my very first wax a month ago and it was great, had to cancel my 4 week appointment due to a car accident on my way. I called 10min ahead but I guess calling does not count as a cancellation and I was charged the full amount(: it's unfortunate that the policy is not laid out clearly, especially for those with last minute emergencies. Their automated booking seems to be a cause for confusion. The business says I made 2 appointments when I only booked and received confirmation for one. I called in, customer service didn't try to rectify the issue. It was just an oh well, make another appointment. They said they contacted me regarding my apparent appointment mixup, however, there were no missed calls/text from the business number. Therefore, I can't confirm that occurred on my end. Having been looking for a place to make my home again, I found Sugar Bee and found Krystalin to be a friendly and kind person who never pressured me for anything more than exactly what I needed. Not only is she kind, but she is very helpful in advising on proper care. She braced me for the more sensitive areas and, having been a long-time sugar waxed patron, I feel confident trusting Krystalin with everything. Now, the parking lot is pretty big so there's plenty of parking. There are many boutiques in Sola, but if you turn any way, Sugar Bee is more in the back. Just take a seat outside and Krystalin will be with you shortly. There is music, the lights are dimmed, and it's a comfortable situation. The curtains close so there is privacy and it's a very enjoyable environment. Personally, it's her techniques and customer care that stood out the most to me. She was never aggressive nor did she move too quickly. She paid close attention to my ingrown and went for it until she got it. I came here after reading super great reviews thinking I'd have a wonderful experience. However this lady was beyond rude. To start off it was my first time sugaring with her, I've gotten sugaring done plenty of times before at other locations so I'm pretty familiar with what to expect. Anyways, my appointment was at 9:30 I made sure to get there before. She ended up finishing with another client at about 9:40 that's when she put me into the room. As she was getting me into the room another client showed up which was 9:45 I believe. So she seemed to be running late (not my problem). As she got me into the room I explained that I had wanted two services done & she said that I had to do that through online- which I didn't know since it was my first time booking- BUT the way she came about explaining that was SO RUDE. I'm most certain it was because she was running behind ( again not my problem). Anyways she ended up letting me switch my service since I had booked for stomach but I really wanted my lower back- after basically complaining about it how it was going to be a 30 minute service. (I've done this before it's really fast) Kid you not she was done in 5 minutes, & honestly I'm not satisfied with what she did it was pretty mediocre (again probably because she was in a rush) So after her being super rude she said to remember to book next time my services accurately... well never going back to her again! This review is looooong overdue! I've been going to Krystalin since the Summer of 2019. My first experience sugaring was my first Brazilian experience ever and I was definitely nervous, but I knew after my first visit that there was nothing to be nervous about. Krystalin is not only certified/licensed but she is EDUCATED on her craft. She has a wonderful approach to sugaring that's the most painless I've come across, keeping people distracted and calm. She's charismatic, and she treats her clients like people and not just a business transaction. She's the perfect mix of both professional and friendly. I enjoy her company and catching up every time I come in. Over the years, I've moved multiple times--once down to San Diego county--and I literally drove all the way to Riverside for my maintenance appts with the exception of a few times where I went to a different sugarist in Carlsbad and I could definitely tell the difference. I, unfortunately, had to soft wax (ugh :( I know) for the past two months and I can't wait to get back to Sugar Bee for my regular maintenance moving forward! BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS YOU SEE! I foolishly disregarded the negative reviews here to give the owner the benefit of the doubt. Boy was I wrong to do that! I booked an appointment using the site's portal and due to it being glitchy( page goes white after you submit credit card info but doesn't book your appointment), it took me two weeks to get an appointment. I emailed and sent DMs on social media notifying the owner of the difficulties that I was having with the site. I never got a response. That was a red flag but, naively, I still wanted to give her a chance. I tried again last week and after 5 attempts to input my info, I got an appointment for today. Tell me why, a few hours before my appointment the owner texts me and asks me if I can move my appointment later? I initially text back that I don't think that it should shift my plans too much (thinking that she had an emergency or just needed a breather), I ask her if everything is ok. She replies with yeah, just needed to squeeze a client in last minute...WTF?! What's the point of having ppl book in advance if you're just going to throw your faves in whenever and screw everyone else over?! I booked with Rococo in Corona and asked her to cancel my appointment and let her fave have my time slot. She got mad and blocked me from scheduling appointments with her! She's so PETTY and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND BOOK WITH SOMEONE WITH INTEGRITY! Why didn't I do this sooner??? That's literally the question you'll be asking yourself after you make the wise decision to book with Krystaline for a sugar hair removal appointment. Let's not get it twisted, there is still some discomfort. It is still hair removal but so much less uncomfortable than a traditional wax. I ventured into here for total leg sugar hair removal ($80) with typical results lasting up to 5 weeks. The process involves you removing articles of clothing from waste down but you get to keep your under garments on...unless you're coming here for her top service (Brazilian). You lay on top of the clean table enjoying the serene spa environment. Your legs are then misted with a spray that smells heavenly to help clean the skin. You will then have your skin covered with a powder to collect any excess oil to ensure the sugar product doesn't have any barriers between your skin. The sugar is warmed up to a comfortable temperature and every client has a new, sterile batch used on their skin only. Krystaline will then spread the product over your desired area, wearing gloves for sanitational purposes. The sugar at first appears as a thick molasses then eventually takes on the appearance of peanut butter. After the sugar is spread on skin, she quickly flicks off the product. There will be some stinging, but the discomfort is so quick. She is an amazing conversationalist so make good talk and with time you won't be focused on the discomfort. With my legs, I felt most discomfort around shin and ankle regions. But everyone's tolerance for discomfort varies and keep in mind I hadn't shaved, waxed or done any other hair removal for a good while. At the time of my appointment. I had all three stages of hair growth, which may affect the discomfort levels. Honestly, I am the biggest baby when it comes to any pain big or small...so if i handled this treatment without issue, you'll be more than fine. Krystaline walked me through the entire process, calmly addressing any concerns of mine. For all of my sensitive skin (eczema, psoriasis, just plain everything irritates your skin) people like myself...the products used are all organic, vegan and locally sourced from fellow female owned businesses. I had no irritation or mal-reaction of any kind. Every product she used smelled amazing. Thank you fellow reviewers for sharing this gem of a place and introducing me to the incredibly talented Krystaline. She takes her specialty seriously, is knowledgable in her treatments, super punctual and professional, and is just an overall amazing human being. Such a delight to have my first and certainly not last sugaring experience with Krystaline. I shall be back!!! This was my first time ever having professional hair removal of any kind. Kris was fantastic at making me feel comfortable and explaining the process. I am trans and I got a Brazilian - so I was a bit worried that it might an issue. Kris was welcoming and treated me with care and respect, going out of her way to make sure I felt accepted.
