I was gifted a set of lashes and they were done by the talented Eva. I've never had my lashes done before so I had no idea what to expect. Eva is very knowledgeable and walked me through the whole process. By the time she was done, we had swapped our favorite places to get dim sum, what our favorite Vietnamese foods are and what we like to order at boba tea shops. It was THE BEST experience. Sadly, I realized my eyes were sensitive and I had to get them removed. I am legit sad. Rose, the owner, is very responsive and helped me schedule a next day appointment. Bree is the artist who helped me remove my lashes. She's so gentle! The other lash artist (I'm so sad I didn't get her name) is also super knowledgeable and recommended I try ruling out what I'm sensitive to. We think it might be the primer. The salon is SUPER clean, the ladies wipe down the beds between each client and change the towels, the bathroom is SQUEAKY clean, and it's a gorgeous space. I came here for my first professional eyebrow wax, even though I have sensitive skin. I had waxed my eyebrows at home before so I wasn't expecting my skin to have an adverse reaction. I told the tech about my sensitivity multiple times throughout the appointment. After the wax, my skin was burning more than expected. The tech applied a cream, but it made the burning much worse. She told me to wash my brows and handed me a fan, but never showed me my brows until the very end. When I finally saw them, the skin was extremely red, raw, and looked to be missing in some areas. I don't know if it was because she didn't clean the area properly beforehand or because of the cream, but the pain was severe and abnormal. On the way home I had to keep cold air blowing on face to combat the burn. Icing made the burning worse once removed, and now I have red blotches and damaged skin despite using Neosporin. If waxing can cause this kind of reaction for sensitive skin, it should have been explained to me before the service. read more

They had wonderful reviews so I went and tried them. As I didn't know any of the technicians, I was put with Alana. Man did I get lucky. Two years later and I'm still seeing her. She does a meticulous job and is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I always leave looking great and get tons of compliments. Alana is my go to girl, but I've used other technicians when she has gone on vacation and they have all been wonderful. If you need lashes and are in the area, run don't walk. Lack of respect and appreciation for a long time client. I have been a client for five years and was treated with lack of respect and dismissive of my time. If Alana did not have time to do a fill she should not have posted she had an open slot for an appointment . I understand I am not one of her regular clients but my technician was full for the week. It was presented to me that she did not want to give me a fill but remove the lashes I had from another technician and then have me return another day so she could give me a new set of lashes. All the years I have been going to Sugar Blossom, I have never had a technician try to, not sure scam me, is the right term but that's what it felt like. So she cancelled my appointment and refused to return my prepayment - saying they can only give me credit. After that interaction I don't want their credit or to return. There are a lot of other lash businesses that I'm sure will take my money and are closer to my home. read more

Wanted to really like this place but unfortunately had a bad experience. I was recommended, and booked their $90 special. Made the appointment, and two days in the lashes started to fall off. I have gotten my lashes done before, so I know that they are suppose to fall but not at the rate that they were falling. Picture is a day 5 reference. I reached out and was booked for a correction but I had to cancel due to a family emergency. I appreciate it the fact that they would correct the issue but it was time consuming for me. I tried to reschedule, but at that point it would have been a full week, and they never responded. I ended up canceling my two week appointment that I had initially made after getting the set done the first time. Response: my eyelashes should not look like this one week in, and a reply to the text would have been nice explaining that. Wow they have so many other reviews of people saying they fall off super quick. I should have read those. When I asked for a refund is when they stopped answering. read more

I allowed the owner/manager two days to respond to my text to potentially fix or remove my lashes, but she never responded, so I am writing this review. The only reachable number is to the owner. I don't think there is a way to personally reach out to the lash tech. I went in a week ago and requested a Classic Full Set. I advised the lash tech I specifically wanted nothing too much and even showed her a photo of a previous Classic set I got elsewhere. Was not asked about lash diameter or length or anything like that. Everything she did seemed like salon protocol, so nothing against her. After a few days I notice the lashes falling off are 6D fans (6 pieces of lash per lash!). I realize this is why my eyes feel heavy and uncomforateble and just off, so I reached out the owner/manager through text (the main number). Ignored my first text but after a followup claimed that the lashes they use ARE STILL 1 LASH PER LASH BUT THEY JUST USE HAND MADE FANS ON THE 1 LASH. Doesn't that mean a hybrid/volume set????? what in the gaslight. I asked other lash techs on Reddit and not one person thinks this is a thing. I checked their website on Wednesday when I followed up (2/1/23) to verify that maybe their site showed this. NOPE. I checked again today and it looks like they added it to their website and changed all of the description. Seems extremely unprofessional not even trying to resolve the issue, but will try to claim this is a Classic Set. Safe to say I will not be back. It is such a bummer because this place has so much potential, especially with the way they handle inquiries. Response: Rose, I encourage you to do some research. Classic sets should not have fans in them. It doesn't matter if they're custom or not. Not only was it not explained to me, but I showed a photo to the lash tech. I'd refrain from advising your reviewers to reach out for help when you never even respond to the inquiries. read more

Horrible service! I had to cancel my appt last minute due to an emergency. Per the customer contract this is allowed once for a customer. I tried calling and texting and it took them a while to respond. Finally she did with short brief texts that showed no basic decency. Finally, she refunded my money in the form of a gift certificate for their business without asking me first. I asked again that I need the money refunded directly to my card as I'm unable to use that money for the foreseeable future and then she ghosted me! Now they won't pick up my calls or texts. I'm going to have to call square to try and get my money back. If someone is having an emergency why would they still want to spend their $90 on a gift certificate they might not use for the foreseeable future? Especially because of their service, I definitely don't want to put my money into this business. They also never pick up their phones, I would never recommend this place to anyone. God forbid you have to cancel an appointment, then you just lost 90-180 dollars! read more

This place kind of went downhill after some of their technicians left. There's new technicians now and I find my lashes not lasting as long and I am not getting what I ask for. I find that some techs use way too much glue and sometimes a number of my lashes would be glued together in one cluster, not individual like they pride themselves to. The technicians do talk a lot so it makes it hard to relax and unwind. Found a spot that's a little bit pricer but my lashes lasts so long and they always make sure that I'm getting the styles I want. read more

I have been holding out on writing a review for this place because I kept trying to give them chances. But I just can't do it anymore. I have had eyelash extensions since 2016. I have been to 3 lash studios total (including this location) and I have never had retention issues or issues with my lashes until I started coming here. My first visit in October I told the first girl that I just wanted a nice fill and I wanted to leave looking amazing. I left an hour and a half later and just walking to my car I had lashes fall out. I was worried at first that maybe I made a mistake in choosing this location but I looked at the extension and to my relief my actual lash was not attached. This happened several times during the day for the next 5 days. Eyelash extensions would fall out (my actual lashes were not attached). NOW I am aware that lashes naturally fall out and shedding is a thing but when I finally looked at my lashes on day 5 I had virtually no eyelash extensions. Disappointing. I contacted the business and they asked me to come in for a correction, which I did. The girl who did the correction was SUPER nice, sweet and she knew what she was doing. I stuck with her up until the end of December, but I still kept noticing that my lashes would fall out, or straighten (which I thought was SO weird because I have never ever had an issue with my eyelash extensions losing their natural curl) and my girl said it might be because I was near steam or that my showers are too hot. I was super bummed because I have not done anything different in my routine since 2016 and this issue happened only with the extensions that were placed on me by this studio. I want to shout her out, but my review is not a good one. I think that maybe the lash extensions/glue that they use do not work for me. The reason I am giving them 2 and not 1 is because the lash girl that I saw from Oct-Dec was SO sweet. She was just really nice and friendly. Another reason is because she had a good amount of availability and they are more than happy to prebook. And the last reason is because they were willing to correct the work of the first girls work that only lasted about 5 days. I wanted to write this review only because I know that choosing a lash place is difficult, and its expensive af and I want to let others know what my experience is about and hope it does not happen to anyone else. read more

If I could I would give this place a 0 star rating. I have been getting my lashes done for 6 years on & off & never have I experienced a lash business like this. First off you are required to pay for your service upfront & there's no option to choose any other option. I wouldn't have minded this until I showed up to my appointment & the lash technician explained how she couldn't work on my lashes. My only option was to take them off & wait 24 hours to get a full set but if not then no refund whatsoever. How is this even fair especially if the business asks for no pictures of your current lashes prior to your appointment. I can't believe that even for this situation you guys can't even provide a refund. I had NO way of knowing that you couldn't work on my lashes but yet you guys still can't even give me a percentage of my money back. Then the technician explains how I can contact customer service, probably knowing that it would be pointless since I got no response. 100% would recommend NOT coming to this location & would definitely consider reading all the 1 star reviews prior to making an appointment. read more

Only after writing a review do they offer any customer service and only by words. I contacted you the very next day not even 24 hours went by and i find that to be in a timely manner. If you do a very very poor job and they fall off I would think and I would hope other customers would think that a refund is an appropriate action. Also you did not offer a correction you charged me for the removal of glue that was left after the lashes feel off. If you truly cared about your customers and wanted to do right be them you would have taken the glue off and not charge. Especially since it was the very next day and you could easily see that the lashes had fallen off but the glue was still there. That tells me that they were not done correctly. Do not believe the words they write, they do not stand behind their work and they do not care. all they care about is taking your money and not doing a good job. read more

Overpriced and not worth it. I went here with a friend and we had reservations. As they did our lashes, they talked so much crap about their customers. It was so unpleasant & concerning to hear workers talk badly about their own customers. These customers are paying you with hard-earned money and you're talking so much crap about them? In front of other customers too? That isn't okay at all. Not only do they talk bad about their customers, they took forever to do our lashes. I understand that doing lashes takes awhile since I've been getting my lashes done for over 2 years now but this place took forever to do a refill. It was like 2-3 hours. It also hurts when they do your lashes and they would constantly poke the lash into my eyeball. I've been going to many different places for lashes and this was the worst experience I've ever had.
