Went here for lunch the other day finally, I have been wanting to try it since they opened. The restuarant is very small and cozy. We were greeted right when we walked in, the staff was very friendly and asked if we had any questions about any of their menu items. I ordered the vietnamese sandwich and pho tai. Then sat down, waters came shortly after we were seated along with a plate of bean sprouts, fresh basil, jalapenos and lime wedges to go with are pho. My sandwich was out with in 5min and it was delicious, loaded with fresh Grilled chicken, cucumber, cilantro, pickled vegetables and jalapeños all on a fresh roll with just the right amount of mayonnaise (I want one know just thinking about it) the pho came out next, it was a huge bowl piping hot, perfect for the cold rainy day we went. Flavors were very nice, the beef was tender and there was plenty of it along with the rice noodles. Oh and that plate of bean sprouts etc was so nice to have to add some fresh herbs, crunchy bean sprout and some fiery heat from the jalapenos. Overall a very fresh and delicious meal with great service, I can wait to go back and explore more of there menu and desserts! read more

I consider myself a pho fanatic and Sugar Bowl has some of the best! I've ordered from here a few times and I've never been disappointed with the quality or the price of what I get. I've gotten the traditional beef pho and the shrimp pho. Both delicious, but the beef will be my go to order looking forward. The broth is to die for. Nothing better on a chilly winter day. I was impressed with the quantity of shrimp I got, though. The portions here are so generous! The staff is friendly. They're also very accommodating - our order had some adjustments and they complied, no questions asked! It's definitely a tucked away spot, but the area was really in need for a quality pho joint. I'm looking forward to trying out their bubble teas and bakery items on future trips! read more

The name is a bit misleading and could be why business is slower than it should be. It's the perfect example of "trying to be everything" out of fear you're niche is too small. My advice is to Trust the customers to spread the word about your additional services and focus on your strength - PHO! First impression: As you walk in you look above the register to try and figure out their display of an 3 step process for ordering Bubble Tea. The idea was nice but the execution is far too busy to help your cause and further complicates the process. They're just getting started so take this review for what it is. These smaller pop ups need to keep it modern when it comes to decor, but just like 8 Below in Mentor the "garage sale" paint on the front windows, stained ceiling tiles, and mismatched design themes had me questioning the whole deal- but I am overly critical of those preparing me food. I was curious to see what the bakery was all about. Up front there was a small case of what appeared to be macaroons. I was scratching my head regarding the "bakery" on the sign. I spoke to one of the owners and they stated more baked goods to come. The food: I ordered the Pho and it was just what I was hoping for. Perfect in every way and will definitely be back. It's very odd and unfortunate that I have to get my Pho from a place called the Sugar Bowl... ??? Imagine going to get ice cream at a place called the Smoke House. To clarify- I will be visiting this location frequently and love the food, but the name of the business doesn't match up with the phenomenal food they have to offer. read more

Cute little local spot! I like their bubble tea is not overly sweetened, and the pho tastes pretty good. My husband had the udon and it came with a lot of veggies and meat. If you are lucky, you might come across some super cute macarons. read more

Excellent food. A MUST DO! The Pho is outstanding and even the deserts were exceptional.

Overall, this is a pretty good place for boba and pho noodles. If you are looking for a dinner place when you are done with work for the day this a good place to eat. Every place has there ups and downs though. The pho was okay because my soup was very sweet and when I went there a second time and ordered a different dish, my soup was sweet again. My soups also had a strong flavor of cilantro. However, the boba tea was amazing and they had a ton of flavors to choose from. Their macaroons weren't like they were from a bakery in Paris but they were good for a normal macaroon. Even though, the one time I got macaroons they were stale. read more

Fantastic pho! No need to travel to Cleveland anymore east siders! Fresh rolls are great the best I've had anywhere around here. Tried the carpaccio salad as well and it was awesome. They have great boba and desert. I have not tried the true food they offer, however it does take a long time to get said food. 5+ mins waiting for a drink, and it is expensive, they also don't offer AC so it will be HOT. A good treat though read more

The name of this little pho shop is misleading...its really more about the savory Vietnamese food than the bakery. In fact, another customer who stopped in left dissapointed because they thought it was a traditional bakery. They do have excellent macarons though that are worth the visit alone. I am a Pho fan, and ecstatic that a place opened closer to where I live. I have to be honest, Superior Pho is my favorite, with Pho Thang running a close second. Sugar Bowl, however was pretty tasty. I ventured in on a Friday night, greeted warmly by the counter-person. I am not a huge fan of ordering at the counter and then being seated, but the process was easy enough. I ordered Pho Tai and spring rolls, and then found a counter seat in front of the window. The spring rolls arrived a short time later, nothing extraordinary. Order of 4 cooked to order ($4.95). I would suggest offering a 1/2 order for those dining alone. The Pho took a bit longer than I would have expected, medium bowl, lots of noodles, decent amount of broth. I added thai basil, jalapenos, beans sprouts, hoisin and sriracha, and the soup was still a bit bland. I added a bit more hoisin and sriracha, which improved the taste. The serving was generous and the soup was piping hot. I truly enjoyed my soup, once seasoned to my liking. The only downside for me, was the seating was not that comfortable, but that wouldn't stop me from returning.....soon. read more

Okay I'll say it...... The ultimate Vietnamese choice is on 30th and Superior. But having said that, this is a very good runner up for those in Lake County that do not want to travel downtown. We've now gone five times, the service is great and the food is good. The menu is small, but it is as I would expect from a small plaza type restaurant. This place needs to get recognized! It's an interesting concept: Bubble Tea and Vietnamese fare with a bakery inside as well. At first I was skeptical but wow, the pho is great! I have to give it a 5 star on the pho alone because my Vietnamese wife says it's her favorite in town, and she's very critical about her food. Last night was a bit disappointing however because I picked up a shrimp mango bowl and although the mango was plentiful there were only five shrimp in my bowl. Very impressed! Happy to have some good pho in the area. My husband and I have been wanting to try it for a while and were finally able to. My husband got the pho bo vien and he enjoyed it. I got the pho rau cai and it was great! There were lots of veggies in it. The employees were very friendly and willing to explain the menu. Not a bad teensy-weensy restaurant. It only seats about 6 with four tables. The pho was good. But when I asked for it the way I wanted it I got charged two extra dollars without my knowledge. Gratuitous on their register starts at 18% which is ridiculous for food that is ordered from the counter. They need to expand their menu and also some seating in the dining room in order to succeed! I am so excited this place opened and so close to my house. I met some friends here. Between us we had the Pho Ga, Pho Chay, and Gyoza. Everything was tasty. I had the gyoza steamed and the dipping sauce was delicious. The bakery items looked great and I was happy to see Japanese cheesecake, which I bought and devoured.
