I feel like I wasted $1800 on my wedding that could have gone somewhere else. I decided to hire Regina as my event coordinator for my wedding day after speaking with her on the phone. She made me feel like she would diminish the stress and burden I felt from planning my wedding. After hiring her, she told me that the budgets I had placed for each category wasn't enough for what I wanted. She tried to convince me to do things that she wanted so I had to go find vendors that were not part of her entourage. Not only did I have to plan my own wedding after hiring a wedding coordinator, but I had to deal with someone who challenged all of my ideas and choices and made me feel like they were tacky. The bottom line is that she added stress to my life while I was planning the wedding - exactly what I had wanted to avoid by hiring her. She made me add two vendor meals for her and a partner, but she was the only one there to eat. She set up a timeline and was supposed to instill the timeline and guide people to where they needed to be and that didn't happen. She didn't direct anything. She required me to do things for her on her website even though we had multiple conversations regarding all fields she needed filled out. Not only that, most of the stuff she was asking did not pertain to me, due to my small, intimate wedding. In other words, she added more work and stress to my life, not less. If you are looking for someone to plan your wedding for you and you have lots of money to spend, she would be perfect for you. However, if you are trying to staying within a budget, I highly recommend you go elsewhere. read more

Regina and her team were amazing. I was recommended SBE by a friend of a friend and was looking for a full service wedding planner in CA since we live in Texas. I didn't really know where to start but w her help we picked the most amazing venue with an incredible team of vendors. When we weren't happy with the initial bakery, she helped us get mini cakes shipped to our home in Texas. I'm a little OCD but I trusted her with choices when it came to food and design and couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out. We celebrated our 15yr vow renewal amidst the pandemic. Unfortunately we had to cancel/postpone our 50 guest party. My husband and I were so heartbroken that we wouldn't be able to celebrate this milestone due to covid. However, all was not lost! We were able to celebrate our love in an intimate, socially distanced and beautifully unique way with the assistance of this amazing group of vendors. If you had told me last year that I'd be standing in a gondola in the Pacific Ocean saying my vows to my husband, I would've laughed at the absurdity. I had a great experience with Sugar Branch Events and would highly recommend them! My husband and I had a backyard wedding in Southern California in June and were planning from Northern California. Though we wanted to make all the big decisions about the wedding ourselves, we wanted to make sure that we had someone more experienced in wedding planning to guide us and be there on the day of the wedding, so we opted for coordination rather than full planning. We met with a few wedding coordinators before talking with Lindsay and I knew instantly I wanted to go with Sugar Branch because Lindsay seemed so organized and experienced. Lindsay and Britt had great referrals for other vendors in the OC area, which we really valued as we planned from a distance. A few months ahead of time, Lindsay + Britt put together a timeline and checklist of things to be sure we thought through so that everything would go smoothly. They thought of lots of things we might not have thought of on our own, especially for a wedding at a residence. On the day of the wedding, we had a bit of surprise rain before the ceremony and I was so thankful that Britt and her team (Emily and Kate) were there to get all the chairs covered temporarily. We had a big flip where our ceremony area became the dining area while guests had cocktails, and Britt, Kate, and Emily did an awesome job making sure all the little details were put in the right place at the right time. Where to start? Regina and her team were a true God send. I had planned what I thought was most of the things I needed for the wedding and thought I just needed help on the day of. When speaking with Regina though, she made me realize how much of the necessary things I hadn't done lol. Guiding us through vendors, contracts, locations and calming our frazzled nerves on several occasions! I can't say enough how wonderful the weekend was! The Rehearsal Was actually fun and as she showed us what to do and she was also the officiant! The Rehearsal Dinner was wonderful from the decorations to the food she organized it all. Then the wedding day she and her staff oversaw and did lots of decorations, even draping the gazebo! I've had the pleasure of working with them as a fellow vendor for other weddings and shoots and last April they created GORGEOUS flowers for my own wedding. Lindsay is Phenomenal! I hired her for my wedding with only a few months left and she helped tie ALL the loose ends and kept me on track. We both decided that the Partial Planning Package + a la carte services for items I needed sourced and projects I needed help with best fit my coordination needs. I trusted Lindsay 1000% with everything despite being a super organized TYPE A bride that is used to doing everything herself. She sourced items for me and I loved all of her choices. Not only did she find items I loved but she was also budget conscientious. Some projects she helped me with was sourcing frames, glass vase pedestal for our cards, she made a gorgeous custom Manzanita wishing tree and all the tags, she put together our favors for us, she sourced the bathroom canisters with all the fix-ins and so much more. Lindsay is also a wonderful source of information and guidance for anything wedding related. We found our amazing photographer, videographer, DJ/MC & Custom Paper Goods Designer all from her. All of her vendor referrals are top notch. She did not charge extra a la carte referral fees for this as it was part of our package. I thought this was awesome!
