So...I won't "Sugar" coat this (see what I did there, lol), waxing is uncomfortable, however, this Sugar Cove location makes you feel at ease. The staff is friendly, engaging, and personable. If you're new to waxing, I definitely recommend sugaring to hard wax. It's much more gentle. My appointment pushed back 15 minutes but I was informed ahead of time and it was completely fine with me. I've been coming here for over three years and have been through many sugar mommas. The one who stood out the most and I mean by far has been Reagan, 10/10 she has been the absolute best! Her extensive knowledge of skin care and the ins and outs of womanhood have saved my skin from new ingrown hairs prevented breakage of my skin and has made it look the best it has in over three years. Giving a 2 star b/c I was on my way to my appt, also coming from Burbank which is an hour drive, in saturday afternoon traffic, I got a flat tire, called to see if they could work with me and reschedule or if they had something a little later in the day and she told me so sorry policy is policy. Which I got charged for the full appt & sent an email receipt and a separate email saying I was a "no-show" . So flat tire, charged for the full amount & ended up having an expensive day with nothing to show for it I was a first time client, this makes me never want to come here. I am a cosmetologist of 10.5 years. I have a cancellation policy as well, but in situations like this, especially given covid, idc who you are no one has $72 to just throw away. Beyond frustrating. I was getting a Brazilian done and it was only my second time. She basically ripped My vagina off. Every time she pulled she didn't apply pressure, she didn't let me breathe in between rips. It got so bad to the point I started crying bc of how bad it hurt and she told me that she was uncomfortable continuing w the service. I said I was fine bc I wasn't ab to pay $76 and not have my entire coochie bald when I walked out of there. She kept giving me the side eye throughout the service and I was just very uncomfortable the whole time. I've had other girls and they were super talkative, made me feel safe, comfortable and were making jokes w me the whole Time (I've already left great reviews for them). If you like it quick then sure I would recommend Karla, but if you're like me and you need a second to breathe and an environment to feel safe in bc a stranger is looking directly at your cooch then yeah she's the last person on my list I'd recommend. I came to the Sugar Cove for the first time for my first ever Brazilian. I tried to go to the location closest to me but the Belkont Shore location was experiencing plumbing issues so all clients were rerouted to the Circle location. Walking into the store it's very clean and ypu are greeted by wonderful receptionists. I was serviced by Monica, who also works for the Belmont Shore location, good to know so I can continue to go to her. She made me feel so at ease and talked me through the entire process as it was my first service. We talked about everything from process to after care and even to tattoos as we both had beautiful pieces. I walked out knowing I would be continuing to go to both locations. First time getting a spray tan and the gals made me feel so comfortable! Lauren was really nice at the front desk, explaining the process, and Jessica did a great job applying the spray. Both gals were very sweet, and cared a lot about making sure I knew what to do both during the process, after I get home, and over the next week. They take great care to cover and put lotion on all body parts that should not get sprayed, like the soles of my feet, and hands. I highly recommend this location, especially for someone who's never done it before. These gals are wonderful! There is ample parking, it's easy to find, and the place is spotless, light and bright. Update: 10 days after my spray tan and I'm thrilled to report that at no point did any spotting, flaking, or peeling take place. Their establishments are always clean, they use quality ingredients, the staff and suga mamas are friendly and they do such an efficient wax job! But what really keeps me coming back is how easy it is to book an appointment with them.
