This place is so cute! I saw them come up on my tiktok page and had to visit! You can choose a 25 min or 50 minutes session, we did the 50 minute and it was so worth it! Lots of cuddles, the staff let us feed the cats treats, it was overall so fun! I'm slightly allergic and have a dog at home so it was a fun way to get some cat love :)

This was such a fun experience. The cafe is so clean and shiny. The employees are incredible. The entire experience is just great. The milk tea is the best anywhere.

delicious vanilla milk tea with rainbow fruity bobas.

Cute business with a great cause and purpose. Walk in and the cat room is front and center. walk around back to the bakery/bubble tea/ice cream and merchandise. Tried my first ever bubble tea. I got a milk tea. vanilla with rainbow bobas. it was pleasantly delicious. My only complaint is its a bit too warm and musty inside. But it doesnt smell bad like cat urine or anything so dont worry about that. It could have been the heater turned up.

    Pippy!!

This place was so great. My girlfriend comes here a lot and brought me in for an afternoon cat hang on a Thursday. Haven't hung out with an animal in a while but I nearly left with three. All the cats are healthy aside from a little eye irritation on one and some allergies on another. These cats are well-socialized little babies, please come see them. There are cookies and drinks and treats, buy them and support this business so they can put more stairs all over the walls.

    So adorable!

SO FUN!! Went here today to donate some cat litter and I tried the Butterfly lemomade and had a cookie dough cupcake. So good!! I decided to pay to go play with the cats and kittens. The kittens there right now are so cute! They were so tiny but spunky. Some of the cats are little shy. Most of the adults were sleeping. Haha. I really enjoyed it! Wish there were more cat cafes!!! Definitely will come back and do it again!!!

My kids and I stopped in here this past week. We were brought in by the quirky names of the cookies posted on the window! My oldest chose the freeze dried candy, while my youngest chose the macaroons. They were both delicious! The shop provided great viewing of the cats, and had I known I may have made a reservation to go in and spend time with the cats. I believe a reservation is $15 a person, and I'm not sure if they allow young children or not. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.

Everything about this place is an amazing! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and make your experience enjoyable. The cafe is adorable with yummy and fun drinks that are creative and tasty! The building is clean and welcoming and the cat viewing room is perfect with plenty of toys, scratches and places to sit. The adoption process is simple and straightforward as well. And of course the kitties are amazing!

This one was no exception, but I do believe it might remain the reigning champion. First of all it is a coffee shop in the basement of a church, and its name implies that it is religious. So the reviews that act surprised or give lower ratings for that reason are silly gooses. The ambiance is outstanding! It is a whole vibe. You are surrounded by books, some of the tables have pew seating, there is a kids area, they sell T shirts cheap ($7) and used books at an amazing deal. New books are priced as marked with regular retail pricing. I was shocked at the number if new hooks they had. The crowning jewel for me was they have natural house made (or local bought) syrups so you are not getting a run of the mill commercially based anything. I expected that to limit their menu but it didn't! I had the caramel crunch chai, hands down best chai I have ever tasted. I wanted to chug it. My friend loved her drink that had winter mint! I also splurged on a winter pomegranate spritz and cake pops to go. This is a coffee shop where you come in, slow down and enjoy the experience. I do not recommend this place if you want a quick coffee to go. The Barista was exceptional and she put time and effort into each drink. She did get backed up because she was all alone when a coworker called in and got slammed! She was clearly overwhelmed but never once rushed a conversation or made any of the customers feel like she didn't have time for them. Rare beauty in this rushed world we live in. She encouraged checking out the gorgeous sanctuary and stained glass windows upstairs in the sanctuary and shared stories about them. I never once felt like I was in a church basement- if that makes sense. It was warm, cozy and inviting. This is my new weekly spot! PS the kids area has a full tote of scrapbooking stuff, and the tables all have cards where you can write up a handwritten note and they send them of somewhere to spread joy and kindness. It does not get better than this.

The last I knew that the space had been an events / wedding hall, a B and B and vacant. Little did I know was that it had been reformed as an Anglican church and the coffee shop was being ran by the church in the basement. The vibe was just kinda weird...it's basically a cluttered Christian book store and gift shop serving coffee and sandwiches. The staff were polite but not very welcoming; I felt like I was intruding on a private function that didn't want me there. I took my Mocha Cream Breve' and went out on the patio for some views of the beautiful historic structure. When asked about their source for coffee beans, I was told "we get em from someplace in Arkansas". OK!?? I'm sure that some demographic here in the bible belt will find this basement quaint and charming, but it just gave me a desire to go spend my money at a more secular venue.

This is their third shared location inside of a Family Tree Nursery. The idea is wonderful; I mean who doesn't enjoy being inside a greenhouse surrounded by beautiful plants, flowers, trees and succulents - maybe the only smell that beats the aroma of coffee! Unfortunately this location does not have indoor seating, which was a bit of a drag on this cool rainy morning. I enjoyed wandering around sipping my beverage, but I really had planned on sitting and relaxing for a spell. My beverage today was a specialty drink - The Pollinated Lavender Latte. It was just as delicious to drink as it was bougie to pronounce. Honey, pollen, house made lavender syrup and several shots of espresso gave me energy and a reason to carry on through the rain. If the bees, coffee and lavender plants have to endure the weather to bring me this decadent drink, then surely I can face the storm and make it a positive experience. I will definitely enjoy returning here and sitting outdoors, but only on perfect weather days.

The wait turned out to be worth it. I arrived just after they opened and stepped into a space that's eclectic, funky and a little random in the best way, complete with bookcases of games that gives the place its own personality. My cortado was the epitome of perfection, rich and balanced, and because it took a moment to prepare, I was handed a free chocolate chip cookie. That little surprise absolutely blew my ketosis but I didn't regret it for a second. I stayed for two hours, settling in and enjoying the atmosphere with their wifi before heading out to explore Independence. Coffee Elsewhere is one of those neat little spots that feels genuinely local, the kind of place that does coffee right and doesn't try to be anything other than itself.
