A Historic Gem in Downtown St. George! If you are looking…read morefor a true slice of local history combined with a heavy dose of nostalgia, **Judd's General Store** in downtown St. George is an absolute must-visit. Open since 1911, this place oozes charm with its authentic vintage decor and classic candy store vibe that instantly transports you back in time. My friend and I had just finished lunch so we were completely full, but I couldn't visit this historic landmark without grabbing one of their iconic **original root beer sodas**. It was crisp, refreshing, and the ultimate treat while exploring the historic downtown area. What Makes Judd's So Special Even though we just grabbed a soda on this visit, the shop is packed with reasons to linger: * **The Selection:** They feature an incredible wall with over 60 types of glass-bottled sodas (including unique finds like vintage Dr. Pepper) and a massive selection of nostalgic, retro candies. * **The Eats:** While we saved room for later, locals and visitors rave about their daily homemade soups, famous breadsticks, and scoops of Farr's ice cream. * **The Vibe & Service:** The staff provides exceptionally friendly and fast service, and they have lovely outdoor seating where you can sit back and soak in the historic surroundings. The Verdict Judd's General Store is much more than just a shop--it's a living piece of St. George history that has been delighting visitors for over a century. Whether you're stopping by for a vintage bottled soda like I did or diving into their famous breadsticks and ice cream, it's a wondrous experience from start to finish. Five sparkling stars!

The store was fully stocked with various cheeses, raw milk, creamer, ranch beef, local variety of honeys and much more! There were samples of cheeses, honey and other foods that were delicious! Farm fresh eggs were a bit pricey at $10 per dozen so hopefully that price will decrease if the economy improves. Made homemade macaroni/cheese that night using all of their products including raw milk and it was outstanding! I'm needing butter so will be back regularly now!!! For fresh dairy without additives, I strongly recommend Finney's Farm!!

I've had the big blocks of white cheddar (and bought jack cheddar this day) and both were so mild, creamy and the most delicious cheese ever. The milk is excellent, too. Two of my friends bought the small $15 packages of sharp cheddar. I tasted it and it was so pungent, very strong and bitter. I was embarrassed that I recommended it. Just know that the extra sharp is a whole different flavor profile than the big blocks of regular cheddar and the person at the register should say this is strong, bitter and pungent instead of saying "have you ever had sharp cheddar before." A little forewarning for those that don't realize.
