To our delight, a class would be starting soon, and there was space for us to join. We happily signed up and prepared to become taffy pulling novices. The class was well organized with clear instructions and plenty of hands-on assistance. I was impressed by how easy it was to do and just how much fun it was. We were able to select our flavors, colors and optional mix-ins and after about an hour and a half, we had made a bag full of taffy to take home with us. We had so much fun stretching, coloring and designing our own taffy! Be prepared for an arm workout and lots of laughing, at least if you are anything like our group of 6! Took a taffy making class here, my son can't have artificial food coloring in anything so he was able to not add in the food coloring and still have some taffy! I love taffy, and was so excited to place my first mail order with Taffy Shop. I ordered the Whole Chewbang variety bag. I knew I wasn't going to love every flavor, but I gave them a fair shot. The first four or five flavors were horrible, and good luck matching them up with the flavor key provided in the bag. A couple diff color ones tasted exactly alike. So, after the grossness I decided to go with the basics that I know and can identify easily; peppermint and licorice. There were ok, but not 'order online from another state' ok. Honestly I'm afraid to try any more of the flavors. It's just not delicious taffy. Sorry, I hate to leave negative reviews, but I have to be honest. What an awesome place! We found this while driving by and decided to go back when we went back up that way again. We came in and there was a mother and daughter making taffy on the right side of the store at the register was a nice lady who asked if we had been in before and told us how things worked. Basically choose your bag. Different sizes are available with different patterns and pictures on them. You then get to go through the many different flavors some or even sugar-free for those of you who are diabetic. The rule is stuff that bag is full as you can as long as they close or closes, which is a Ziploc closure. That's all simple as that. The hard part is going through all the flavors so you know you can get a good variety without filling your bag too soon before you find something great towards the end. They gave us a sample while we were choosing and the tabby is yummy and chewy and she also explained what the mother and daughter were doing. After passing this place a couple of times it was now time to venture in. The store is immaculate, the staff incredible and the taffy is nicely presented for you to choose. There are different sized bags on the wall. You pick the size you want and just put what you want in the bag. There are a number of choices to choose from so be prepared to walk around the display so you have room in your bag. Some of the tastiest I've had. An excellent key lime pie flavor as well as a cayenne flavored cinnamon. So good! This store sells on Amazon. I do not eat sweets often. I just got over COVID and it's my birthday, so I decided to buy some taffy. I landed on Taffy Shop because the reviews were good. I purchased a 2 pound bag of my own mix for $27 on 7/13/22. Today is 7/25/22 (12 days). I was supposed to get it by 7/18/22. I contacted the seller (this store) via Amazon and they accused me of stealing the package and trying to get my money back. I took screen shots of the USPS tracking and proved I did not. I again asked for my money back and they still refused! Instead the rep blamed USPS claiming this happens all the time during to short staffing. I replied making them aware that I have never had any issues except with them. I want my product or my money back! I will also be filing a BBB complaint. Seller is being incredibly unreasonable, unprofessional, lacks any kind of ethics and morals. Shame on you! Business is simple. Consumer buys the product, the business provides that product and that business gets the money. If the consumer gets no product is it ok for the business to steal their money!?!? Uhhhh nope! Best. Taffy. Ever. It is worth the wait to order and have it delivered to Iowa. There hasn't been any other taffy that can match the freshness, the flavors and the yummy goodness. So many others taste waxy or are hard and crumbly or maybe all the so-called different flavors taste the same. That's not how it is from The Taffy Shop. The taffy is so fresh and chewy - almost creamy - and the flavors are so distinct there is never a question about what kind you are eating. I love the ability to make my own bags of custom flavors and having a sugar-free option in many of the flavors is also a plus. Smooth, creamy and soft in texture makes it by far the best I've ever had. And....if the product itself is not enough, the customer service will knock your socks off! I placed an order within a holiday week and misjudged the timing only to realize that it would not be here in time for my event. Customer service sprung to action for me and got a second shipment to me in two days flat and only charged me the extra for the freight on my word that I'd return the first shipment. They are way less expensive than other online candy sites I saw and they have excellent customer service. I emailed them to order 65 lbs of taffy for my wedding. They responded promptly and let me pick whatever combination of taffy flavors I wanted. When they found out it would cost a lot of money to send the taffy to me (I'm in Washington), they lowered the price of the taffy without me even asking! I have never tried salt water taffy before. so I looked on google and I found that the taffyshop was the cheapest price and specialized in taffy. I ordered from there and the lady actually called me back the next day to say I could get a discount since I purchased it wrong. The taffy is wonderful!! but I am a bit sad because some of the flavors I ordered I didnt like so much and I wish I ordered some that they gave in the 15 free sample bag.. I really liked the lemon pie and red licorice kind but I didnt order it. I would order here again!! but next time I will call them and choose the flavors that I want in the assorted bag. that way this time I wont make a mistake.
