Even though I don't get it very often, freshly pressed sugarcane juice is so deliciously good. The reason why I don't get it more? Well, besides for the sake of my waistline, it's that I haven't found a good place for it anywhere outside of San Jose! Of the ones I have tried, they've either been insanely sweet (even for sugarcane juice) and/or they didn't taste very fresh. So, after listening to my buddy rave about Sugarcane HQ before we decided to stop in, I was equal parts skeptical and extremely hopeful for how good this place might be! Much like my go-to spots in San Jose, Sugarcane HQ presses their own sugarcane fresh in-house (you can even watch as they do it). However, what sets this place apart, for me, is the variety of flavors you can choose from and how you can even create your own pairings. So, whether you want something like passion fruit and mango, kumquat and ginger, or just their original option, you can put together whatever flavors your tastebuds are craving! With so many enticing flavors to choose from, it would be fair to say I was torn on what to get. Ultimately, after a bit of waffling, I opted to get a CALAMANSI & KUMQUAT SUGARCANE JUICE. Now, I don't want to toot my own horn, but I think I did a pretty awesome job of picking flavors. Of course, not as good of a job as the workers did of putting together said drink, which was fantastic. Not only did this taste super fresh, but the tartness and acidity of both fruits did a great job of cutting through the sweetness of the sugarcane. What's more, they also complemented each other so well. In fact, I wish there had been more of both! As good as my drink tasted, the one (slight) knock about Sugarcane HQ is that, as others have already noted, the prices here are slightly higher than what Vietnamese delis in San Jose typically charge. That being said, considering how much closer this place is to SF and the fact that it just tastes so much better, I'm more than happy to spend more on the occasional splurge here when the cravings strike. Although, now that I've found a place so much closer to me, those "occasional" splurges just might start to become a little less occasional!

I've been wanting to try this place for so long but never got the chance to. I finally happened to be in the area before their closing time and I wish I tried this place earlier! It is SO GOOD, SO REFRESHING, SO DELICIOUS! I highly recommend the calamansi & kumquat flavors. I love it so much! You order through a kiosk but the guy that made my drink was super friendly!

Omg this place is gooood! The inside is such a vibe, I love all the greenery and wood. My drink was DELICIOUS. I got a small with calamansi. The very nice man working let me try a few samples of other flavors. The only thing even sorta negative I would say is the ordering kiosk is a little confusing to use, but maybe cause I'm a millennial lol still 10/10 would recommend!

Delicious and refreshing sugarcane juice place. Once you walk in, you order on the kiosk. You can choose the size - small ($8) or large ($10) then you can choose the flavors- there are original, passion fruit, beet, calamansi, and many more. I got the original and passionfruit, and they were both so good. So refreshing especially on a hot day. They didn't put a lot of ice which is pretty nice. But they do have an option for $1 extra for no ice. Definitely will come back, it's right next to a really good pho place too.

I have been visiting by the shop for couple years. The owner is very nice and the sugarcane juice is fresh and delicious. You order using a large self service screen. You can have original sugarcane or add flavor. You can order small, large, 1/2 or one gallon I usually add calamansi yesterday I tried pink or sea salt and it was good. It is like plum.

Came in after a day at the beach and the sugarcane here hit the spot! I ordered a calamansi and kumquat sugarcane juice that came to a total of about $20. Both were so refreshing with neither of the added flavors overpowering the taste of sugarcane. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick. Definitely recommend for your next sugarcane fix!

I love how everything is decorated inside and my wait time was very quick. Service was great and I will definitely be stopping in here multiple times a week on my way to work! This is a little spot in San Bruno that serves fresh juices, I bought sugarcane juice that was so sweet and fresh. Tasted the passionfruit juice with ginger which hit every taste pallet in my mouth. Highly recommend this place for fresh sqeezed juices especially with summer around the cornner. read more

Fresh pressed sugarcane so you don't have to go all the way to SJ! No sugar added and their canes are from Vietnam. The owner A.T is there 5 days a week from 11-6 Wednesday while the pho shop Pho de ngguyen next door sells it on Monday and Tuesday 8-3. read more

If you are craving for a sweet drink, go for a fresh pressed sugarcane juice. It's made in front of you. We walked in and was greeted by a warm and friendly gentleman. He offered if we'd like to sample first and also if we'd be interested to also try the added flavors like calamansi, passion fruit, ginger. It was amazing to have just a few squirts flavor added to compliment the sugarcane. We tried the passion fruit flavor. It was not overpowering but just right, a unique drink! I liked the plain juice from the sugarcane. It brings many happy memories of my childhood with grandpa who enjoyed a refreshing cool sugarcane. Congratulations to Sugarcane HD and a big welcome to the neighborhood! Go try it out! read more

We infused our cane juice with calamansi, passion fruit, lime, coconut, kumquat, watermelon, honeydew, mango, carrot, beet, black salt and himalayan salt. I've been exploring all the breakfast burritos in SanFran but this place is now also at the top of my list! I ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage and was happy with all the fillings - chunky potatoes, good amount of egg, onions, tomato, and chunky pieces of sausage in a spinach tortilla. (Instead of protein, my friend added avocado instead. And you can choose different types of tortillas - flour, whole wheat, spinach, and others) Just overall good and very filling. Not huge but not small either. The only thing I missed was salsa to put on it. Tapatio packets were given instead. (To be fair, these are Latin American-inspired breakfast burritos not "Mexican" burritos with salsa on the side.) Great breakfast burrito! Looks like there are other dishes to try. Lots of people were also there on Sat morning and enjoying their breakfast. Plenty of tables. We'll be back!

In SSF where options are limited, this is a great stop. This coffee shop has plenty of food options and great coffee options, including soy milk. There are some seats near the window to do work or people watch with plenty of tables inside for a large party. I appreciated that this place was very clean, including the bathrooms. The service is great. Can't wait to come back and try some of their breakfast options. They have a HH, but I didn't see the menu.

The middle of the store has a nice selection of Hawaiian snacks to browse, while the refrigerator along the opposite wall is stocked with drinks and a few side dishes, including kimchi, available for purchase. On this visit, we ordered the Shoyu Ahi Bowl with greens, the Hawaiian Style Ahi Bowl with greens, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage plate. The Kalua Pork & Cabbage was the standout. It came with macaroni salad and rice, the portion was generous, the pork was tender, and the cabbage was soft, well-seasoned, and tasty. The ahi itself had a great texture and tasted fresh. However, both the Shoyu Ahi and Hawaiian Style Ahi bowls were already well-marinated, and the greens were dressed with the same sweet soy based sauce. The combination made the bowls a bit too salty and sauce heavy, which overpowered the natural flavor of the fish. By the time we finished our bowls, we found ourselves reaching for coconut water to help balance the saltiness. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean, the staff was efficient, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage was definitely worth ordering. I just wish the ahi bowls had a lighter touch with the sauce so the freshness of the fish could really shine. We'd be happy to come back and try some of the other menu items. :)

The pickled onions was especially a nice touch, and contrast to the smoky pork. The Mac salad was creamy, fresh but was missing something. I'd order this again for the Kahlua Pork and pickled onions alone. LOCO MOCO - ubiquitous beef patties, over rice, luscious gravy, topped with sunny side up eggs. My go-to fav whenever I see Loco Moco! This LOCO MOCO did not disappoint in flavors and taste but I could go with more, yes!, more of their delicious gravy! Maybe w/additional gravy on the side. Both drinks were smooth and nutty and the dessert wasn't too sweet but still really fruity. As we were waiting, we saw all the other waffle desserts that were coming out of the kitchen. We both said we needed to come back for those desserts! On our second visit THE NEXT DAY, we ordered the Mango Sago and the Red Rose drinks. As we had just finished a very large lunch right before this, we just couldn't bring ourselves to order any of the waffle desserts! Again, our drinks were amazing and refreshing. I was pleasantly surprised to find a sugarcane juice spot outside of San Jose, and let me tell you, it really hit the spot. They offer a variety of flavors you can add, and the owner was kind enough to let me sample a few, all of which were delicious.
