This is what adulting feels like! Sugarcoat is owned by and ran by "Nat" and the whole experience is a vibe! The salon is intimate and clean. You will likely be her only client when you have an appointment which means that you are receiving a personal and narrowly-tailored experience! I first came to SugarCoat after avoiding gel manicures since 2010 (or whenever it was first invited). I think I've only done gel manicures 2x in my life and Lord the damage to my nails was so terrible that it was enough for me to just stay away. However, regular manicures take forever and don't last, so after much research and prayer, I ventured to Sugarcoat. During my first appointment I was very candid with Nat about my distrust of gel manicures and how much I cared about the health of my nails. Not only was Nat understanding, but she explained to me why her process was different and what I should expect during the gel-removal. In short, I've been a customer for about 9 months and I will never turn back! Ladies (and/or gents), if you care about the health of your nails and want a quality manicure and pedicure TRUST Nat to deliver every time! Above all else, after taking a break from gel manicures, my nails maintained their strength. I wish I photographed my last manicure - it was BEAUTIFUL and my nails were still strong! Had my first visit today with Natanza. I had a gel manicure, and pedicure w/ her grapefruit scrub. I was truly impressed!! Her nail salon was very clean and everything was neatly organized. Also, Natanza cleaned and sanitized her work area from start to finish. Natanza educated me about the effects of certain products that aren't particularly good for my nails, and recommended oils that would be beneficial for my dry skin. I love, love, love this nail salon. Natanza, the owner is amazing and clearly have high end five star service skills. Everything is super clean, new files and buffers for each person. That is key for me because being a nail tech myself I know how easy it is to get an infection from something as simple as a file. I absolutely recommend this place.
