Very MID. As in sub par. Visiting from Texas and I've been getting my nails done for years with acrylics by two different salons and I never experience lifting or breaking after ONE week. It's been hard to find a quality nail shop in Fort Lauderdale and this one had decent review for las olas, however my tech was not friendly at all. Hardly spoke a single word to me, no positive attitude, I tried to be polite and engage. But mostly is the quality of these nails? Because what is this? The complete lifting of two nails within a week is crazy and the state of my other nails are on the verge of lifting you can see it. This full set of acrylics this was definitely not worth the money. I went in and confirmed $40 for gel-x, usually a design is $10-20 extra, but they charged me $50 for the design on gel-x. I'm a man and it is not a complicated design. I've attached results. They did a good job with the nails, not perfect but good, but not worth $90. And they acted like I was crazy for not being aware of the $50 up-charge, which is rude in my opinion. Killed my vibe. an overpriced touristy spot that's not worth its value. Got my gel-x nails removed... And somehow they're still glue all over my fingernails... will have to go to another nail tech just to get the glue removed and they will charge me as well. I feel as if I've been scammed because I'm paying for a service that's not complete. (also cut my skin in the process of taking off the nails) They're not able to match colors as well... I requested navy blue and received royal blue, I cut the pedicure short - not receiving any of the massages, lotion, etc.. I went home and immediately took off the nail polish because it's not the color I requested and somehow still had to pay full price but with a new customer discount (20% off) Do not recommend and will never be returning myself EVER. In response to the owner- with all due respect, I saw the receipt. You charged me $10 for a gelx removal, which was not complete. Then you charged me $80 for the pedicure, which was also not complete. I then got a 20% discount due to being a new customer. That should've totaled 72 and somehow I paid 74... Don't think I didn't notice the extra few dollars that you managed to tack on. At the end of the day, the fact is, I'm going to have to go to another nail tech and pay them again to get the glue removed. I was there from 10:45AM to 12:30PM. I would also like to emphasize that while I cut the pedicure short, the nail tech himself said he was done with the gel x removal. I did not stop that process! Usually, I have an adequate level of service at Tipsy. But this time I was floored at how poor my experience was this time around. I booked with one tech who was apparently not available (this does happen a lot here), so I ended up with someone new that I've never had before. Her name is Thejenany Gomez. She was quite pushy with upgrades, which I politely declined. What I was most frustrated with was the final product, which looked horrible. It seems lol the polish was bad and chunky and she continued to use it anyway. Lots of hair in the polish as well. I will be repainting myself as I can't bear to leave them like this. Such a disappointment after just leaving the salon hoping to have fresh nails! read more

First time back in many years! I'm so happy I was able to secure an appointment same day just a few hours before. My nails were in bad shape! I removed the old acrylic, we placed on new tips, and changed the shape from almond to square. My nails feel lighter and healthier!! Thank you Deb for suggesting a completely new set. MARIA IS AMAZING! I've been getting my nails done for over 30 years, and now know that Maria is a true gem and an A+ professional! I love my almond shape ombré nails. Tony Le for the win! I was there six months ago and Tony had done a great job. He's a perfectionist. So I wanted to go back and I know that there was someone there that was great, but I couldn't remember his name. I went on the website and I scrolled down the different employees to do my powder dip, nails, and Tony Le's name popped out. Bingo that was him! So while I walked in I saw he had a big smile on his face. I found out that he remembered me from six weeks ago. The reason he remembered me was because I gave him a 5 Star review ... I was on vacation in Fort Lauderdale for a week and stumbled upon this Gem... Tipsy Salon Bar. Original plan was only to do medi/pedi which Tracy did an incredible job and I was so happy. But while getting my nails done I saw their hairstylist Quincy work his magic on another customer and I was hooked. He gave me the perfect cut and color and style that fits me so well. This salon is wonderful! From the moment I walked in it's easy to tell how beautiful, clean, classy and welcoming it was. I booked a last minute appointment and I am so happy I did!! I showed an inspo pic and my artist Tracy absolutely delivered!! This was my first time trying Gel X and I was so impressed how quick and perfect it was compared to acrylic. I can't wait to see how they wear! I also asked for the cat eye/glass effect on my nails which was so fun to watch I will add more photos later but I am very happy with the results, these are my birthday nails so they'll be in lots of pictures I also got the Tipsy Pedicure.. Maru was incredible with the color on my hair (blending out all the gray and glossing it into a beautiful hombre like color that had such shine!) Her awesome energy (best shampoo experience in my life!) and the blowout was also great. Highly recommend her - and also highly recommend the salon in general, as I got nails done too. The technician who I was assigned originally for a gel manicure, was inexperienced. She didn't remove the gel polish properly and had me soak my hands in pure acetone rather than using small cotton soaked and wrapped in foil as is the standard. Then wandered around the shop while I sat there and had to be told to return to her station!!While I complained that it was irritating my skin she proceeded to use a Dremel tool to remove the excess polish. I stopped her immediately and requested another technician. Tracey did a very nice job considering she had to start over completely. I was there for two hours. The tech was angry about something before I even sat down and then destroyed my beautiful long natural nails filing them down when I specifically said don't file, I like the shape!!! .It was like a child was doing my nails! she filed the sides until they were so stupid uneven, I had to file myself to try and salvage what I could. I went in and in 3 minutes they looked worse-- totally lopsided AND made my cuticles BLEED on 3 fingers before I walked out! I will never go there again. read more

Excellent service. Tony is a perfectionist and would redo his work if he saw something minutely off. They serve champagne and were a very efficiently run salon. My nails on my laptop are all mine and real, but every single nail on the right hand broke off, so Tony put Claire tips on the right hand to match the left and you can't tell the difference. The salon is decently clean, most of the people that work there seem nice, unfortunately, I was not happy about my appointment because my nail tech Tony (who did my pedicure to my liking )had a hard time doing a simple design, even with a photo (I understand if something is outside of someone's skill set, but they should communicate that and not waste the customers time while they experiment on you )then he filed down the nail I was unhappy with and used a brown paper towel to wipe my nails before top coating them, and left lint and nail dust on just about every nail and was going to topcoat them just like that. I had to stop him and Frank ended up finishing my nails. Frank finished my nails did a great job removing the lint and fixing the design. I spent four hours at the salon for a medium gel set and a gel pedicure. The original total came out to be over $200 which was absurd for nail pricing. I could only imagine how much my nails would've costed if I actually did an intricate design or got longer nails. And I don't appreciate the workers whispering in a different language when I'm trying to ask a question or communicate something that I don't like about my nails before it's too late to fix. ALSO A DREMEL WAS USED AS THE SOLE TOOL FOR CLEANING AND SHAPING MY CUTICLES. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING MORE PROFESSIONAL WHERE THEY ACTUALLY TAKE A NAIL CLIPPER AND CLEAN YOUR CUTICLES AND SHAPE YOUR NAILS PROPERLY THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. i'd be willing to pay their prices if they were worth it, but in my opinion, they are not. read more

This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had. Would not recommend to anyone. Cuticles bled and when I brought it up was told "the bleeding stops it's fine". My nails were cut incredibly short without asking me, when I said I didn't like it they said "it'll be fine". I would leave 0 stars if I could. Manicurist very rude. We got there early by mistake and they were very accommodating and helpful. My mom got her hair done in the AM and they took good care of her. I got my hair done in the afternoon. We were going to a wedding so I got an updo. Laura was WONDERFUL! So kind....it's like we were friends by the end. Enjoyed talking to her and she did a wonderful job. But....I had a bit of sticker shock when they told me the amount. You might want to ask first about the price. But it was a great experience for both my mom and me. Definitely recommend. read more

I went here feb 10th for a wash& blow out, the prices online aren't what they are in person I have a lot of long hair so I expected it to be double, but the hair dresser tried to completely rip me off especially considering the experience I had. The brush he used still had someone else's hair in it, def ripped some of my hair out too but thankfully I have a lot of it, I had to ask for a cape cause my hair was drenched on my back, he didn't use conditioner. I also had to ask to use the heat protectant at his station. He prob used my hair to promote the place, but that's cause I have nice long dark hair like the magic was me not them. A blow out bar chain wouldve def been way better experience and probably cheaper too & no water offered either which I thought was the norm but maybe not. Just Ok. Debbie was not friendly at all. Barely looked at me and never smiled or engaged. She looked annoyed she was even there ‍. Everyone around me had wine or champagne, but none was offered to me. Nails look fine, but I am looking to find a nail place that makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. I am a great tipper and a very nice person, maybe I'll find someone else there to go to. Some of the other employees looked very happy and friendly. Terrible experience, I do not recommend. Got regular pedi and gel mani. 1. Lady working with me was rude and not service oriented. I was treated like I was doing her a favor by being in the chair. At one point she was actually hurting me (I have thin nails). I told her but she just carried on. 2. Music is completely obnoxious. This is supposed to be a relaxing experience with a drink. 3. There were a few customers just yapping on the phone, so loudly and cursing. Overall clients looked trashy (fitting for a place). 4. Got the best pedicure of my life truly the most care taken and such an amazing massage too. This place could be cleaner. You could tell it could really use a deep cleaning and dusting. But besides that my gel mani and pedi came out great! I needed them done really quick for a cruise and they were able to squeeze me on the day of right before I left for the ship. There's also a full bar with tons of options for rose, wine, moscato, and champagne. They have the massage chairs of course and I saw a lot of people getting nail art. The massages are great too after you get your mani. There were tons of options for colors: matte, glossy, and ombre. When you get your pedi done, they put a liner over the bowl so you don't actually put your feet in the tub. But, the towel was dirty so they had to change it.
