I want to share my experience with Glo With Amber so potential new clients understand what this…read morecompany provides. The facial I received was nice and had nice results. Natalie was also kind. But if you're looking for a relaxing or traditional spa experience, this is definitely not it. Glo With Amber is a small, dark room in the basement of a building and it's very difficult to find. While I was there, there were issues with the WiFi not working (no relaxing spa music) and there were no candles or nice scents that you get at a traditional spa. In addition, I wasn't given a thorough consultation at the beginning of the facial and I received no explanation after the fact about my skin type, product recommendations, etc. Natalie was also distracted by two phone calls during my visit and I felt rushed at the end because she was moving that day and her friends were waiting for her. I also received an eyebrow tint and lash application. The eyebrow tint was fine (but no better than when I do it at home and much more expensive). The lash application was an absolute nightmare. I was very specific with Natalie when I asked for a NATURAL and VERY subtle look and explained that I just wanted them to look slightly fuller and slightly longer. When I finally looked in the mirror, I was horrified. The eyelashes she applied were extreme, very thick, and very long (up to my eyebrows). They were the type of eyelashes someone might wear on Halloween or in a stage performance. If that's what you're looking for, great. But she clearly did not listen to what I wanted and actually did the exact opposite. The lashes also did serious damage to my natural lashes. I reached out to them immediately after my service to give feedback on my experience. I also asked for a full refund on the lashes and a partial refund on the facial. Unfortunately, more than a week later, they have yet to respond. One of the most critical things when starting a new business is providing exceptional customer service (or at least any at all!). Without it, your business won't grow and it won't last. I had a very reasonable request and was kind when giving my feedback, but they felt that the $200 I spent was worth more than learning from an experience and having a positive business reputation. Please be warned if you make an appointment with this business.

I got extensions with a French tip and the whole process took a little over two hours. The salon is quiet, clean, and relaxing. About a year ago, I received Botox injections from Virginia. For context, I've had Botox several…read moretimes in the past at other locations without any issues. During this visit, she treated my forehead and the area between my eyes, and strongly insisted that I also treat my crow's feet--even after I explained that I typically don't do that area. Despite my hesitation, she continued to push for additional units, which already made me feel uneasy. Unfortunately, the results turned out poorly. The Botox looked uneven, and I experienced significant side effects. My eyes became extremely dry, heavy, and uncomfortable--to the point where I had to keep a warm, damp cloth over them for several hours a day, for nearly three months, just to get relief. I eventually saw an actual physician who specializes in Botox injections to figure out what went wrong. I was told that I had been injected with far too many units, placed too deeply, and too close to my eyes. I truly wish Virginia had listened to me instead of pressuring me into more units. I've spent a lot of money at this clinic in the past for various treatments, and honestly, the way I was treated after this happened was very disappointing. When I spoke with Virginia on the phone about the side effects, she repeatedly questioned whether something else was going on with me--as if I was exaggerating or making up what I was experiencing, despite suffering for nearly three months. I was very disappointed and do not recommend this clinic! I would pay the additional few bucks per unit and go to an experienced injector and someone who actually listens to you.
