First time here and unsure if I'll be back. The process was so long and painful. I paid for the numbing add on and that didn't help at all. It didn't even seem like they applied the product well. Don't get numbing because it does not help and it's extra pay. I think I'll go back to hard wax because it's less pulls. I had a first time appointment today and was really excited to find a new favorite spot- but this was not it. I don't even know who sugared me because she never introduced herself and didn't ask me any questions the entire time. Which I thought wasn't the absolute worst but I do like when some basic convo is made for a distraction. Wax was also spilt on my jacket so hopefully that comes out, and I was disappointed to see there was still a bunch of hair left on the top and sides that she didn't bother to try and remove or pluck. I was a first time client and had an appointment this evening at the Lincoln Park location. See the attached picture of the aftermath of the attempt at waxing my first underarm. After seeing this botched attempt, I left immediately without finishing my appointment. Besides the physical pain, I now have significant bruising right before going on vacation this week. Please train ALL employees better and ensure they can do their job without leaving physical bruises on clients. I would advise everyone to stay away this place. read more

Labor would've felt better than that wax this morning. The wax was not warm enough My waxer was awkward and didn't introduce herself or even speak one word during our appointment. I've gotten consistent brazilians for years and sugaring has never been painful for me until today's appointment. My lips are raw and painful still since this mornings appointment. I recommend sugaring but not with this particular waxer. Run for the hills if you get her. read more

Sugaring does hurt a tad bit more than traditional waxing, but Cecilia is great, quick and thorough! The aftermath though is much better on my super sensitive skin. I usually go to the Michigan Ave. location but my usual esthetician was booked and I needed to get my wax ASAP. Of course going to a new esthetician I wasn't expecting a familiar or flawless experience and I did feel like the service took longer than usual but overall I had a decent experience and the job got done none the less. I was inclined to write a review because this place is better known for getting a wax rather than eyelash extensions/lifts. I ended up getting there 15 minutes before my appointment started and she took me back anyways. Rachel explained everything in great detail and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Ineffective results, extremely painful, and dismissive staff. I have waxed for years and I can say with confidence that sugaring is more painful, more expensive and results are significantly worse. I left with results that I can not wear a bathing suit with. Now am considering whether I can even get a wax to finish what sugaring started. Not worth it. read more

Customer service at the front desk wasn't that much warming/welcoming this second time I came. But the Brazilian wax was amazing. The wax was warm and the waxer was as gentle as possible and I felt very comfortable. She always explained what she was doing and why, and I didn't even have to ask. She also took her time with me. I didn't want a tweeze after the wax and she still left me bald even with just the wax. I followed the aftercare manual correctly. First time going here and I got the worst breakout ever. I've gotten sugared +10 times and will get a few breakouts immediately after, but it's been +2 weeks and the bumps are not going away. I would give this a one but the girl who tried to help fix my brows really was amazing. So I went to get my laminated brows .... a huge mistake don't even waste your money. Half way through it the girl tells me that she just started doing this ... I tried not to judge because everyone has to start somewhere... but then when she said she was done there was still eyebrow tint on my skin! And was completely uneven. They didn't even stick up the way laminated brows are suppose too. Luckily Rachel who is great really calmed me down. The next day I woke up with my eyebrows peeling !! Peeling !!! And very itchy.
