I came into town for the holiday and needed a brow and lip wax, and Trim Lincoln came highly recommended. I have never had a worse brow wax in my life. I left with way too much hair removed, one brow is visibly thinner than the other and I have a scab as a result of a very painful wax. To make matters worse, this was almost double the price of my regular brow and lip wax. If you go to Trim and see Ysenia, you must over-communicate what you're looking for or she'll remove way too much hair without even asking. I wouldn't waste your time or money. read more

I've been coming here since 2015 faithfully every 6 weeks to get my waxing needs! I started seeing Taylor (she's gone) but when our schedules didn't align anymore I started to see Saadia. Let me tell you, she is the sweetest, most kind esthetician you'd ever meet! She is so detailed with her waxing and she makes you feel so comfortable on the table. I spent about a week googling for a place to get a full body before vacation. Believe the other reviews! All staff were very friendly and the place was very clean! I had Angelina she did a fantastic job on my brows! I have not let anyone else touch my brows since we move. It was my first time waxing and she made me feel so comfortable I felt like we had been friends for years! After waxing she went through with tweezer and made sure she got EVERY hair. Trim is the best!! This review is long overdue, as I've been a loyal customer for the past 4+ years. I prefer having thicker eyebrows, and I can always trust the ladies at Trim to keep them groomed but not over-waxed. Taylor is awesome and always does a great job - plus you will enjoy chatting with her so much, that you'll (almost) forget you're getting waxed! She also doesn't judge me when I go too long between appointments.....which is pretty much every time, lol. A major bonus is that Trim has very convenient/long hours (9a-10p during most weekdays) so it's easy to get a last minute appointment if needed. And you can book online! I've always had good experiences when I book with other estheticians (Adriana and Becky, to name a couple). You really can't go wrong! read more

This review is based solely of my last experience at Trim. Apparently they have changed owners and to be honest I don't see myself going back. Before, they were a nice, posh place to get your waxes done, but this last time was just a mess! My lady that I normally see has moved places and I have no idea where she went so I decided to try someone new who had great reviews here on Yelp. Booked the appt and went and let me tell you.... one of the toughest waxes I've ever had down there! Not only was it rough, but I had one ingrown hair that I asked her to take out and she didn't, and on top of that she put on two different liquids (one being witch hazel) down there all throughout my lady parts!!! Not sure about you but anything with alcohol does not belong down there and I know this because ..... drumroll please..... I'm a cosmetologist for a living!!! Ladies, I've had my fair share of waxing but this is not a place that I will ever be returning to. There is a difference with your hair being removed from the root and just being ripped off, this time, most of my hair was ripped off. I know this because when it is removed from the root, it takes longer to grow back, this time my hair grew back in days. DAYS!!! I also have never gotten as many ingrown hairs come up as I did after this last wax here. Gave 2 stars solely because of what they used to be, not at all for what they are now, that would only be 1 star MAX! Also let me add, Covid protocol seems to just fly out the window here. I was taken right after the person before me, in the same exact room as her, with no time or cleaning gap in between. They changed the paper I lay on at max and did not bother sanitizing or cleaning or even wiping down anything. I just don't trust this place anymore, terrible wax, terrible protocol, this place is just going downhill. read more

What a great place. I was a little wary of visiting a place that speicalizes in waxing; I was positive it would be prohibitively expensive. Luckily, I was pleasantly surrpsied. My brows were completely out of control, and to clean them up cost $17. Fiona was very gentle; it hurt no more than any other wax I've ever gotten. In fact, it probably hurt less, becuase she used plenty of witch hazel to sooth my brows after ripping the hair out. I was in and out in about 30 minutes, which included me filling out their first-timers' paperwork and Fiona showing me how to fill in my brows afterward. I really liked how I felt more cared for here; I've been to places to get waxed and it's like an extra thing they offer just so they can call themselves full-service... or that the people that work in the salon don't like to do it becuase that's where they make the least in tips. I felt really comfortable making suggestions and asking her to do a little more, where I generally feel uncomfortable asking them to take more off. I'm used to paying 8-13 for getting my brows done; while this was a bit pricier, I'll definately be back! read more

I've always considered myself as having "great eyebrows", so I've never been one of those picky people as to where I get them done. I know, horrifying looking back that I'd let any nail salon wax away at my brows. Recently moving in local to Trim and seeing my unibrow, I decided to give a real eyebrow expert a try. The lady I cannot remember her name who's been waxing me for a few months now told me where I need to grow back in, and even charged me less because she waxed away so little hair. I'll NEVER GO BACK TO MY OLD WAYS!!!! Calm, not painful, well priced, and easy to make an appointment. No more eyebrow neglecting for me! I also came in here for a Brazilian wax. I want to first say that the estheticians here are incredible. I stand by the fact that Adriana is a miracle worker and have been seeing her since my first ever appointment. At my last appointment however, I was surprised to find that there were only two women working in the shop, neither of which were the receptionist. The two working at the time were very graceful in handling the lack of sufficient staffing, but shouldn't there be enough people working at a time?! I asked how they handled the shop when they were both in with clients, especially at night, as this seemed to be a significant safety concern (IMO). I like this place! They offer strip waxing as well as hard wax. If you have a hard wax preference, just let your waxer know, and she can make sure she uses the kind you prefer. Out of all the waxing places in the area, this place is the most flexible and has the best hours! I think they're open til 8:30pm most days. The waxers are always friendly and efficient. They have a Lincoln Park location and also a Bucktown location. Prices are in line with other waxing studios in the area. I prefer this place over European Wax Center - quicker in and out time and they have more openings during the week and on weekends! Also, their waxers don't push products on you to buy. As soon as you walk through the doors, you know you're in for some pain. But, the staff at Trim do their best to make this experience as quick and non-awkward as possible. I've been seeing Taylor for awhile now- it's amazing how quick she is, and she's super easy to strike up a conversation with. She's also very attentive to your pain level, making sure that she goes at a pace you're comfortable with- which hey, the faster the better!
