I came here for the first time about a month ago and was immediately impressed with the decor and scent inside. Super cute and girly, and have candy/refreshments for you to snack on. This was my first Brazilian wax ever (I'm 24), so I was super nervous, but Brittany was AMAZING! She was so friendly and made me feel comfortable the whole time. She talked me through it, gave me tips, and the music helped distract me too. There were a few tiny hairs left (probably normal for a first time), but overall the experience was way better than I expected. I have been to this location three times now and this is the only time I've felt the need to leave a review. First I called all day Wednesday morning to get an appointment and nobody answered or returned my call until 4:30pm. I decided to drive to the location assuming the phone services were not working. I waited outside for 30 minutes nobody came to the door or answered the phone even though there was "we are open" sign on the door. I mentioned I had a coupon and that ended on Wednesday, nobody mentioned over the phone that I would need to show the physical coupon in order to receive a discount. I made sure to mention to Miriam that I spoke with her yesterday about the whole misunderstanding. You would think they would offer some kind of accommodation for the lack of professionalism. She was in a rush because she's the only person working. My hair was Extremely long (last wax 3 months ago) I asked should she trim it down so it's not too much pain on my end. She told me "I don't have time I have another client right after you" even though I showed up to my appointment 25 minutes early. She got wax EVERYWHERE (on my clothes, across the room on the chair, and all over the table). It was a bad experience overall and makes me rethink coming back to this location. Especially when Miriam asked 2X times if I wanted to leave a Tip, like she did such a good job. read more

I had one of the worst waxes at this location. I have been going to Sugaring NYC for about 3 years now and not every wax is perfect but it wasn't until I started going to this location that I have noticed my waxes haven't been the best quality. On June 12 I had the WORST wax ever. The amount of hair left was ridiculous. After my wax I called and left VM wanting to speak to someone regarding my wax and I never heard back from anyone. Very disappointed in my service especially considering how expensive these services cost. read more

I started my membership with Sugaring NYC for the advantage of services they provide in most places I travel to, and especially being in the same town I live in. I have been charged for the unused service and cannot seem to get any assistance on a refund, due to the fact that mysteriously my wax appointment was cancelled without an explanation. I attempted to immediately contact the store in my hometown, Mission, Tx., and NO ONE ANSWERED! I left a few messages and yet to hear back from anyone. I then went on line and chatted with a person/ robot to be advise the store in Mission, Tx., is now closed, "Without Notification" to say the least. The representative suggests to go to their closest location which is in San Antonio, Tx. That would have been great if San Antonio wasn't 4 hours away from me! The representative provides me with an email to cancel my service and request a credit, so I did. Well I am not surprised because I yet to hear from anyone. I emailed again and again for someone to finally let me know my message was being forwarded. Yesterday morning I decide to again email and call the recent location I visited last in Oak Park, IL. I spoke with a live person whine she confirmed to have texted two of her manatees to please call me last night and well they didn't either! I am so disappointed and upset with the fact that I may just need to contact my bank to stop payment and request a credit from this company. Did I forget to mention I was just charge again yesterday. I've been going to the Oak Park location since 12/23, and my sugarista Kayla has been great. I've had a variety of services done and she has always been quick, gentle, and respectful. The location itself is girlie, never crowded, and near affordable parking. Always clean. I recommend this location. read more

I have not received a sugaring wax before and I definitely won't thanks to natasha. I was trying to find out information about the company and she kept saying that she didn't know and she didn't have time to explain anything. She said that none of the people that work there will be there for long. I was confused on why she had such a nasty attitude and was making up stories like she didn't want me or others to book at this location. So I have decided because of her unprofessionalism I will go to another location where there are NOT rude and are patient with new clients. read more
