Her cupcakes are very tasty, but the filled ones never have enough filling, but that's not a big deal. What is a big deal is her lack of communication. She has my messenger, my text, and my phone number but she will leave a person waiting for hours with no communication and then a flippant little "sorry, but I have a lot on my plate" type of apology that doesn't feel sincere at all. I actually won a free dessert each month for a year from a raffle she held. I won't go into all of the trials and tribulations throughout the year, but I will tell you solely about my final month. However I will say that I received 10 months of desserts. For December I said I wanted a pie and that I also wanted to purchase a pie. I further said I would let her choose whatever flavor pies she wanted to make, but that I wanted two different flavors. Then she asked if I could get the pies on Friday. I said I would be back from my trip out of state, so yes I could. She told me she had a lot of errands to run, so I asked if it would be easier for her to just drop them off (we've had previous issues of her being home for me to pick up). She said that would be great, and that noonish would work great for her. I agreed. At 12:30 I texted her, but no response. At 12:50 I had to leave. With still no response, I left a note on the door. At 1:30 she responded saying that something came up, but she thought she could meet me 2ish. I agreed. Then I texted that I could come by her place, but got no response. I went to her place and although someone was home (I saw them through the garage door window), no one answered the door. She texted saying she had the pies in the car with her. I said I would go back to the agreed upon location and that I had a kiddo with me. At 2:25 I asked her where she was. She responded later that she was stuck in traffic. I wanted to know how far away. She finally gave me her location and it was clear she couldn't reach me before another hour. Then at 4:50 she asked if she could drop off to me the next day. I agreed, but by this time had waited five hours for her. The next day she brought me two pies (one of which I paid $30 for). They were both berry, even though I was very clear in asking for two different kinds of pies. They both had some kind of whipped cream that had melted from being in the car the entire previous day, and neither was fully cooked. To say I am completely disappointed is an understatement. There are plenty of other bakers who make gluten-free and sugar-free items in and around the Eugene area. Do yourself a favor, and use one of them.
