So excited for this place to open. I have been buying her goods at the Saturday market for a while. The pear tart is one of my favorites. But if they ever have baguettes, definitely get one! Revolutionary. Such a sweet space and friendly service. Nice selection of tea and coffee to go with your delicious pastries. Gluten free is just a bonus. The delicious baked goods are the reason to come in.

My husband and I have been…read moreimpatiently waiting for them to finally open this location, which I wasn't even sure would actually happen because it took so long. We stopped by this afternoon because I wanted a burger. Multiple employees greeted us when we walked in and chatted with us as we looked at the menu. Others stopped by to check on us as we ate and bus the table for us. Which I find to be kind of impressive for what is basically fast food. Local, but still fast food. The owner happened to be there as well and took the time to visit with us about the restaurant. I ordered the toxic burger with extra pickles, which is my standard go-to choice at every Toxic location. Plus the chicken dippers with raspberry habanero and pineapple jerk sauces. My husband ordered the Cali burger. Food was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfect. I love making my own homemade barbecue sauces all the time, so when I find restaurant ones I really like and crave, I develop a small obsession. Which is absolutely the case with their raspberry habanero sauce. I was beyond excited that they have it at this location, as not all of them do. Apparently they are working on getting all of the same sauces at every location, which I think is awesome. Restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. It's an old Jack in the Box building, so they've utilized the drive-thru as well as indoor dining. Would I return? Absolutely. A million times over. I've been to each and every Toxic location, and this one is hands down one of my favorites. This is such an amazing, small, local business to get behind and support. I've never actually had a bad or even mediocre experience at any Toxic location, and that is something that speaks volumes to me. Review 28 of 2025

It was a mix of pulled chicken breast "slow-cooked with peppers and pineapples over garlic-lime rice, topped with shredded cheese, spicy slaw and fresh pico". I was glad to find this new food cart at 255 Madison, right next to Oakshire and The Wandering Goat. They are Tex-Mex themed and have a bunch of great bowls on the menu, as well as nachos. Also, they are a dedicated 100% gluten-free facility. I can't wait to go through the menu. The people working there were very friendly and you can tell they care about putting out quality food.

Note this meal was on Saturday, not Sunday Mother's Day brunch : -1145am appointment and promptly seated. We were told it will take about 40 minutes to get our food which is fine. - 1200 the wait staff finally came by and took our total order (food and drinks) -1210 water was finally brought to table -1220 four of 5 beverages came out. - 1235 final beverage delivered. There is zero engagement from anyone between these long waits. -1255 three meals delivered. One missing something. - 100 one of the remaining meals delivered - 110 final meal and apology that it would be comped. That's 1.5 hours to get breakfast food for 5 people. The menu was good but the execution by the kitchen was inconsistent. At that point we just wanted to finally get out of there. Sitting there with tap water after finishing your first round of coffee/drinks a long time ago and hoping someone ever returns is crazy. The location is great, menu well constructed, and it was clean and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to just sit around and talk to each other for a couple hours and maybe, just maybe get some food or service at some point then this is the place for you. The one positive note was the barista slinging coffee drinks. She was working her tail off the entire time and all the coffee drinks were great. If anyone had come to ask we likely would have ordered more while we waited.

The menu is broad enough that there's plenty to pick from. We were there for dinner. The food was delicious! Mom had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (they were even good as cold leftovers!!). The sandwich comes with a combo of 3 melted cheeses. Dad had the honey glazed chicken. Also really good. Hubby had the 2-meat BBQ plate with pulled pork and 1/2 rack of ribs. He really liked his ribs. He was pleased with the baked beans, too. And I got the steak salad. Delicious! When trying a new place, I always go for that and I was not disappointed one bit! I tried both the baker's roll (rosemary and sage today) and the heart attack roll. Neither made me think I was eating GF. As first-timers, we were given free chocolate chip cookies. The centers were soft and moist with crisp edges. I do like a ymmy sweet to finish off the meal. It's really nice to have a GF restaurant where the family can all go and find something without compromising selection or taste. We'll certainly be back!!

As we…read morewere walking to the table, they asked if it was our first visit (it was), as that meant complimentary chocolate chip cookies! The large menu can seem a bit overwhelming, but once you figure out how the BBQ plates work, it's easy to order one of their standard dishes, or customize your own combo. I ended up going with the "Single Plate", with an additional side. I got pulled pork with Carolina BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, a baker's roll (varies from day to day), and added sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The pulled pork was a little more "wet" than I'm used to, but it was smoky and flavorful, especially with the BBQ sauce. The roll was almost muffin-like, with rosemary seasoning mixed into the batter, which I quite enjoyed. The mac n' cheese definitely has a cheesy texture, with a caramelized top, but the flavors weren't as sharp as I like -- still very good, especially after I accidentally spilled some of that Carolina BBQ sauce on top of it. My food gets all mixed together on a BBQ plate, anyway; so why not? LOL The sweet potato waffle fries get their own section, because they were that good. The coating was crispy and well seasoned, with a slight kick -- they were amazing. I would probably ask for ketchup to dip them in next time, but since they had brought me extra BBQ sauce (without my asking), I just used that... or ate them without any dipping sauce. Our server was amazing throughout our lunch. She was always friendly and informative, and really helped make for a great experience. She remembered our cookies at the end (we got them to go), and didn't miss a beat when we decided to order from their dessert case last minute. Since it was "pi day", they had lots of pie related options -- all small servings, for 1 or 2. My wife and I shared a Key Lime bar, which was delicious. It was a little richer than I expected, but was nice and creamy, with that tart lime kick. The crust was good and crunchy, too. We knew coming in that this establishment was all gluten-free, even though nobody in our party needed to avoid gluten, and I was preparing myself to be disappointed -- and I can happily say that never happened! A lot of what E&T serves is homemade, and they obviously know what they are doing, so their GF offerings far surpass many dining establishment's full gluten options. If you have lower expectations for GF food, as I did, leave them at the door. Even my daughter, who is a pretty good baker herself, was impressed with the "heart attack" roll that she ordered with her meal -- we have never seen GF bread that fluffy! These guys obviously know what they are doing. Oh yeah, and those chocolate chip cookies? So good -- soft, and loaded with chocolate chips. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.

Cashier worker had a big smile and seemed friendly. I was really excited to try their burgers because they are grass fed patties and look very delicious and juicy from the pictures. I particularly enjoy mushroom and Swiss burgers because I feel like they're so hard to fine. Yeah they are such an amazing combination on a burger. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger without mustard. It was $7.75 for just the burger. Why was this burger so disappointing? A few points: - the beef patty (who should be star of the show) was so thin and flat!!, it was bland and sad. - Mayo and mustard on a mushroom and Swiss burger? The Mayo was fine. But to have a mushroom garlic sauce would have made it so much closer to an actual mushroom & Swiss - not enough grilled onions or mushrooms - not sure if Toxic Burgers always have crispy cheese? but mine tasted like old grill. With the burger, it really left so much to be desired because I felt I was mainly eating toasted bread with hints of mushrooms. I didn't really savor the beef and could just taste burnt grill cheese. All in all, nothing like the pictures. I also had sweet potato fries (about $5 for a small). They were yummy, salted enough, and very crispy. I wish the sizes could be different considering the cost. Toxic burger says they're 99% gluten free and uses rice bran oil. Overall, sadly I won't be coming back for burgers, that's for sure.. One day I might try their milkshakes and maybe their wings. Just maybe.

My daughter's favorite was the s'mores, you could definitely taste the marshmallow in the glaze. It's astonishing that these are vegan and gluten free!
