What a cute candy shop in Libertyville, IL. This city is new to me, never heard of it before, but come to find out, I've been near it before. This candy shop is inviting with their bright pink neon lights which I love. There is so much to see in here and we looked around and went through the bulk candy for sometime to pick the flavors we wanted. It was kinda fun in a weird way. Wait just one more watermelon! Lots of candies I've never seen or even tasted before. I set myself a limit in here because let's be real, you can go overboard on the yummy goodies. They also offer fudge and icecream. Staff encounter was minimal, but I can't say anyone was super eager and enthusiastic while ringing us up. I was happy to find the sour pucker lips as they are hard to come by back home... it was a win for me. I loved the OHHHH fudge sign on the wall-- put a huge smile on my face. :-)

Discovered this candy store by accident, but happy we went in. There is a large variety of old school candy to choose from. There is a bulk candy area as well where you can fill to your sweet tooth's content. At checkout there is ice cream available as well.

The cutest addition to Libertyville's downtown. It's right across the park so you can either sit inside or find a picnic table. The interior is bright and happy, just like a candy shop/ice cream parlor ought to be. There's a bit of a retro feel. My only suggestion would be to add more booths! There are plenty of staff to keep the line moving. Our group of six got our orders quickly, and the first to get their orders did not have to wait long for the rest to join. There's a great selection of ice cream flavors as well as edible cookie dough and candy!

This is a mondo delayed review but hey! It's better late than never! I first timed in here in June because with the beginning of summer and the nice, breezy but hot summer months ahead, I was craving some ice cream. I was happy to find that Sugarville was close by and honestly, the reviews were awesome but it was the decor that caught my eye. There's something about an old school diner-esque shop that sells ice cream that puts me in a good mood so I KNEW I had to stop on in. The parking wasn't bad as there is only street parking and I was happy and lucky to find one right in front of the store. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by neon lights, a checkered floor and the most colorful display of baked goodies, ice cream and a corner candy shop. As someone who learned to enjoy sweets (I'm more of a spicy/sour girly) from her family and bf, I was in sweets heaven. The decor was just *chefs kiss* super cute! I felt like a kid in a candy sto---....oh wait, I was! (Haha!) I obviously went to the candy shop first where I was greeted by stuffed animals and certain candies I haven't seen as a kid. Oh the loving memories of nostalgia! The best way to describe this place was organized chaos, there was so much to look at but it was organized in a manner that it made it easy and not overwhelming with I liked. After taking a gander over here and walking out with a box of Bazooka and a glass bottled cream soda, I headed to the main event....the ice cream. The menus were extensive and so was their ice cream selection. My bf ended up two scoops of getting butter pecan while I ended up getting two scoops of rocky road. We both got them In a waffle cone. Oh my goodness! The waffle cones were massive and the scoops were massive. My bf loved his butter pecan and I was obsessed with my rocky road. The ice cream didn't taste like those artificial ice creams that can be too sweet. It was like just the right amount of sweetness and it didn't melt all into your hand at one time so you could avoid a gigantic mess. The customer service was prime and the employees didn't make you feel like you were forced to pick something out. I appreciated that. Overall, I will be coming back here for my sweet tooth needs. Brava Sugarville Brava!

Front of the store. Ice cream pints, cold drinks, seating.

What in the world took me so long to get to this place?! What a sweet small town gem. An ice cream shop at the front and magical candy store at the back. The ice cream shop has a nice assortment of ice cream flavors, Italian ice, vegan cookie dough, macaroons, and other treats. The candy shop had myself and my friends (all grown adults) in complete wonder! From the furniture to display the candy on/in, to the fun surprises like stuffed animal baguettes and pizza. It was a blast to go through and reminisce finding our favorite childhood candies. Highly recommend this gem of a storefront! Bring your appetite.

What a beautiful place! So much to pick from and try. It's more than candy! Staff was helpful and friendly! Located next to the Conscious Cup, across from the Cook Park Library, and Mickey Finn's. It did not disappoint. Thank you!!

Loved the yummy ice cream at this cute new ice cream shop! There were a ton of flavors to choose from and we loved the mango, heath bar crunch, chocolate chocolate chip and butter pecan! Prices were fair based on the nice large scoops of ice cream! Great service and fun, brightly colored shop with plenty of seating! The sweet shop has not yet opened as of 8-12-23.

Enjoy your icecream indoors or out! So many flavors to choose from...should have gone for the homemade waffle cone! Always next time! Great park across the street with benches and picnic tables! If you can't find parking on the street, there's a parking garage nearby too!

We were on vacation and ended up staying in this cute town. This by far is the cutest ice cream shop. It's very colorful and fun. The decor was definitely on point. There was so many flavors and toppings available. Towards the back there was a candy shop. The service was great. To say my son loved this place is an understatement. If you're in the area definitely recommend.

Super cute ice cream, candy shop. My companions enjoyed their ice cream, lots of varied flavors. There was a large section of edible cookie dough and the smell of waffle cones was intoxicating. Half of the shop is filled with candy, stuffed animals, fun displays. We enjoyed our visit! There is a hallway that connects to Conscious Cup so maybe we'll visit that as well next time!

Fabulous place! I remember when they were just about to open - was so excited about it! And they do NOT disappoint. The ice cream options are plenty and it's great quality so that means the milkshakes come out good too. And thank goodness for that! I'm obsessed with my milkshakes, so if you make a bad one, I'm never coming back. But I'll definitely be returning to this place. They even have EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH! Like are you KIDDING ME?! The interior is super cute with a perfectly balanced color scheme highly appropriate for a classic ice cream shop, and there is literally a separate wing of the store with a pretty impressive selection of candy. Owners/workers are very friendly and they are generous with samples, which (let's face it) is a desirable aspect of any ice cream shoppe experience.

Ice cream was sweet, but had no discernible flavor. I had raspberry chip and it tasted like vanilla.

Also, the ice cream was somehow rock hard, which made it near impossible to eat, not to mention the small portion size, which you would think would be bigger considering the Prices. For the price large price you pay at Cold Stone, the service and the quality received were just terrible, but also confusing. more importantly it was unprofessional and a inconvenience to the customer, this is why I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
