The quote was incredibly competitive for load/unload service with a truck provided compared to other local companies. They were prompt in their communication and provided a thorough written estimate for the job. On the day of the move, they gave advance notice of their arrival time and got straight to work once they arrived. These guys worked hard for 5.5 hours straight! They were very careful and thoughtful of how to move heavy items up and down flights of stairs and were very efficient with packing the truck. If you are moving in the Triangle Suggs & Sons are the best movers. I hired them load my moving truck because I was moving out of state. I had complications securing my moving truck. I only needed assistance loading the truck. They were very patient with me and even rescheduled due to my moving truck issues. Not once did they complain! They arrived on time, immediately started working. Had my 1850 sq ft home loaded in 1 hour! Rates were so good I had to tip them! Very professional business and they operate with full integrity. First I must make it clear that I did not use this company for moving, but they were moving furniture to my neighbor. The driver was very rude and aggressive when I asked him to move the truck from the entrance to my drive way, as I wanted to park my car. We had a very positive experience with Mr. Suggs and his son. They came to my mother's house earlier than we scheduled just to make sure there was parking for the truck. They loaded everything up as gently as possible, using lots of plastic wrap. They had a very reasonable quote and promised to get it all in the truck. They were moving us 1000 miles so it had to all fit in one go! What we couldn't fit (2 rugs, a mirror, and some chairs) we bought a car carrier for and it worked out. They met us on the other end and unloaded some very heavy object without a single complaint. I have to respect anyone who does this kind of work. It is not easy!! I had a great experience with Suggs and Son Moving. I called them on the Tuesday of May 28 after Memorial Day and I was starting to feel pretty desperate because I needed my things out by June 1. They said they can do Friday the 31st but it was possible for them fit me in Wednesday the 29th (the next day after calling). I was crossing my fingers that they'd come the 29th instead of the 31st because I read a previous review about them not showing. Thankfully I got a message from them Wednesday afternoon and they came right at the time they told me! They were fast, efficient, neat, and cautious with my belongings. They were in and out of my old apartment to the new one within an hour. They even honored my groupon which was a complete steal by the way! Thanks so much Suggs and sons! We were in need of a piano mover - Suggs was the lowest quote. Based upon the price and few decent reviews, we decided to take a chance. Communication was decent but not great. Marcus was flexible in scheduling the move based upon everyone's availability. The guys arrived before the scheduled time which was a welcomed surprise. They packed up everything nicely and securely and brought the heavy upright piano to our home without a hitch. Your experience may vary but this experience for us was good. I had a nightmare experience with this company. Please consider that the previous glowing reviews may not reflect your experience. I called in advance of purchasing a Groupon with this company, and spoke with Marcus. We locked in a date and time approximately one month in advance of my move. Subsequently, I purchased the Groupon. I then called three days in advance of the move to confirm and to ensure the time. Marcus again confirmed the date and time. Then the nightmare began. My appointment was at 8am on a Sunday. Marcus called at ~8:15am to say that they had double booked my appointment and had to push mine back. When I explained that I couldn't move later in the day, and had rearranged my schedule to accommodate the morning move, he gave push-back for about 10 minutes until he finally said they would ask the other job to re-schedule to the afternoon. Time kept ticking by, and finally at 9am I called again to ask his estimated time of arrival by phone. He did not answer my call, but then I sent a text and he finally responded to the text to say 10:30am. I asked if he could come sooner, and he did not respond. I kept waiting, and finally at ~10:15am, I got a call from Emmanuel, who says he is the boss, to say that their trucks have been vandalized (tires slashed) and now they can't come. He said they were trying to borrow a truck from another company and might be able to get there in the night. At this point, I was highly frustrated. I called back and asked if he could rent a UHaul to complete my move as soon as possible, and he gave multiple excuses about why they could (would) not. I finally asked for a reimbursement, and had to find another company last minute to complete my move. He and Marcus both stopped responding. I had to contact the folks at Groupon to explain the situation and initiate my refund even though now (because I had purchased a month ago) it was outside their typical refund window. Finally, while I was completing the move with another company, Emmanuel sent another text (after not responding to any further calls) to say that they could do my move the next day (Monday). I kindly let him know that I had cancelled my Groupon and requested a refund. He did not respond. Marcus also stopped responding after the text saying they would arrive at 10:30am. Generally, I thought the company lacked professionalism from beginning to end. They failed to notice and correct an over-booking when given a month's notice, were late in contacting me for the appointment (that they would have been late for), did not attempt to creatively address the one scenario that appeared to be outside of their control (if the vandalism story was even true, which I highly doubt given what had occurred earlier that morning) and then failed to communicate appropriately with me as a paying customer. Save yourself the hassle and go with another company. read more

THE VERY WORST!!!! Do not use this company if you want a timely and professional moving team. Or, if you actually want a moving company to move you ON THE DAY YOU AGREED TO AS WELL AS AT THE PRICE YOU CONTRACTED FOR! They were late and very rude! They would not honor the original price and I have the approval documented from the owner. Then they decided they weren't going to do the move at all... and just left! No other crews were available and I had to be out of my home that day! They left me in a horrible situation. But they did not care or even try to send another crew. Andddd... the owner and crew never even apologized. So super Rude! Non professional! Terrible customer service! No integrity or work ethic! They need new crews that have been through customer service training! Including the owner... I would NEVER recommend this company! This was the worst day that should have been my exciting new start. I will never ever use this company again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. In fact, I will make sure everyone knows that his company is not good at all. First of all, they arrived late. No big deal it was only 30 minutes but they still never called me. Then they claimed that we weren't "move ready". We still have a few loose items that needed to be put in boxes. They said they would not do anything until every item was in the Box taped up. I tried to tell them they were plenty of other boxes that were sitting right by the door as well as furniture that can go ahead and be loaded. They refused. They were very rude and not very friendly from the get-go. I was stuck with people to help me move but no truck or additional help at that point. I had friends and family waiting who had gotten off work today just to help with our move. I had to scramble to rent a truck last minute and would be down two additional helpers without this company. They never apologize for being late or for anything else. Had they even been a little bit friendly it might have been a different story and we could have worked something out but I just didn't even want to deal with them. On 3/8/19 I called this company to book an appointment for 4/6/19 moving. I was told "no problem" I asked for a time and they said they would show up around 9:15am. Come 4/6/19 11am I had called the business 3 times, no answer, no voicemail. Sent a message through Facebook and through their website. I finally got through a couple hours after they were supposed to arrive and they said my appointment had been switched to Sunday. I did not do this, I don't know who did, they couldn't tell me. I said Sunday doesn't work, I needed to move today. They said they would come later between 3-4pm. After 4pm I started the calls again, no answer. At 5:15 the owner called me saying they don't offer services through Groupon on saturdays and demanding to know who told me that. I could not remember, it has been a month, he was very argumentative, aggressive and basically told me it was all my fault, I should have known they don't offer Groupon moving services on Saturday, and to request my money back from Groupon because they couldn't help me. He then hung up on me. Leaving me after 5:30pm, after sitting all day waiting because they said originally they could still help, with no movers. read more
