Tried to see Ali and a less experienced stylist booked me and didn't do a very good balayage. She pretended to be Ali on the phone.

I was so nervous about find someone to do my platinum white hair. I went by reviews on Yelp and choose to come here. Alli did not disappoint! My hair came out perfect! She listened to everything I said. I've been this color for years, so I already know what works and what doesn't. Most stylists don't care. They just want to finish fast. Alli took her time and gave me this flawless custom color. She has great energy too! Oftentimes, I'll feel zapped after getting my hair done. Not here! I actually felt energized and excited! Another thing that helped was that she was excited to do my hair. She didn't come at it with a defeated "maybe I can do it" attitude. That tells me that she's a real artist who loves her work. It shows! The salon has a private parking lot, so you don't have to worry about street parking. Half of it is shaded by beautiful trees too. I'm thrilled with my results and already scheduled my next appointment. read more

I've been going to Sydney and this salon for about two years now and love love love it! Sydney is the best! The other stylist do fantastic work as well (the color work these women do is something else- from observation and from experience)! I found the salon on yelp after moving to LR and called up and made an appointment. I have not looked back since. I cannot emphasize enough how talented these women are at their work. I found these folks online and they are pure gold. My husband and I are in town from Los Angeles on a temporary job and we needed some serious grooming. Alyssa is fantastic. She listened and understood exactly what I wanted and delivered it perfectly. I brought my husband back the very next day to get expertly groomed by Luke, Eric has traveled all over the world and swears that he's never had a more precise or flattering haircut and shave. Cutter: Clayton. I was greeted with a smile. He took my jacket and offered me a drink. He listened to what I wanted and told me how to do it. He is self-proclaimed OCD. I'll take it. The location is convenient for anyone working downtown. The salon is quite minimalistic and appealing in that way. The cut was 25 bucks. But, the experience was more than pleasant and the value was there. I will return. read more

I travel a lot for work and needed a haircut on the road. I yelp places close by and come across this salon. Five stars, pictures look great. How could it go wrong? I call to make an appointment, they fit me in. I arrive right on time and a woman ushers me into a chair. No introduction. She wraps an apron around my neck and says curtly "How do you want your hair cut?" I was taken aback by the abruptness of the question "Excuse me" I said politely. "How do you want your hair cut" she repeats. I describe how I like my hair. She grabs her sheers and goes to town. This is a no nonsense woman. After a minute I see the sides aren't really to my liking. "We could go shorter on the sides" I say "Ok" she says, and disappears to the back for a minute. She cuts a little extra off the side. And it's still not short enough for me, but it's not worth the fight, I thought. I let it go. She starts chopping away at the top of my hair. She has completely changed the style I walked in with. Without any real discussion. She takes a lot off the top. I had said when i came in "I just like a lot of texture on the top." After she's cut a good inch off, she says "how do you usually style your hair?" So I describe what I do, and kinda go to move it to that position and my hair can't do it. The hair on top is too short. She says "you can get hair to do whatever you want". Annnnd that's it. She unsnaps the apron and says "cash or card" There was no talk about a shampoo, or style. Which I wanted. I left completely dissatisfied and honestly in need of another haircut. read more

Sydney cut and colored my hair and did so brilliantly! She had not only such skills but also excitement in helping me tame my wild tresses and prepare them for summer. I was able to quickly set an appointment with Sydney and was very pleasantly surprised with her work. She listened to the story of my hair...baby fine, curly when wet and frequent color changes. I showed her pictures of what I like and she ran with it. The salon is very cute and easy to find with a dedicated parking lot. I made my next appointment right after we finished with my first. I can't say enough good things about this salon but mostly Alyssa, who fixed my hair after two different salons in the area completely compromised the integrity of my hair. Not only did Alyssa do a great job but she worked with me to maintain the quality of my hair and also get me to the blonde I wanted. I left the salon with my hair feeling healthier than it did before. Blonde is hard to do, and Alyssa made it look easy. Everyone in the salon is super sweet and friendly too. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for cut or color. And I definitely recommend Alyssa if you are obsessed with your hair and usually are hesitant to get it it done. read more

I will admit that I used to dye my hair from a box. I had hair that handled the cheap color well and I was a broke college student who didn't care. Until I started going to my current stylist, I didn't know what I had been missing. I never realized how important one person could become. There is just something about walking out of a salon with your new cut and color. Your hair is one of the first things people will notice about you, and it should be a top priority.
