I paid extra for a camera suite for my dog's stay from Nov 26-30, and the only reason I knew what was actually happening with her is because I watched the camera like a hawk. I later learned they do not provide report cards for boarding, only daycare -- meaning unless you constantly chase information, you are left completely in the dark about your pet. I discovered my dog had vomited only because I saw her blanket disappear on camera and called to ask why. I was told it was being washed and would be returned shortly. It never was. The next morning (pickup day), I was told she had soft stool. Later that same day, when I called again because my emergency contact had to pick her up due to their absurdly restrictive 4-5 PM pickup window, I was finally told the full truth: she had missed multiple meals, was barely eating, then throwing up, and had diarrhea. I was also told they only notify owners after three missed meals. So to be crystal clear: my dog was vomiting, not eating normally, and had diarrhea, and neither I nor my emergency contact were notified in real time. I was denied the chance to make informed medical decisions for my own pet. If I had known sooner, I would have pulled her immediately for veterinary care. She has been boarded elsewhere multiple times and has never experienced anything like this. She came home with ongoing diarrhea, extreme anxiety, and was clearly traumatized. She smelled bad, and her bottom was not clean. On top of the health issues, her toys were missing, her medication was not returned at pickup, and I now have to go back for her belongings. Every time I called, staff had to "check her chart" and put me on hold, and it never felt like anyone actually knew or was truly monitoring my dog. The front desk was rude and dismissive at drop-off, and I was given zero reassurance that my dog was in caring hands. I do not believe my dog was in immediate physical danger -- but she was absolutely emotionally neglected, and the failure to communicate active illness is completely unacceptable. I have cancelled her Christmas stay and will never return. This facility may look nice on the surface. What it lacks is real-time medical judgment, transparency, and basic accountability. I would never recommend allowing your dog to stay in a room without a camera here, because without one, you truly have no way of knowing what is happening or what isn't being communicated. Based on my experience, transparency only existed because I had visual access and kept pushing for answers. I trusted this facility to protect and communicate about my dog without me having to play detective, and that trust was completely broken. read more

If you love your pet, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! My puppy (3mths and first time getting boarded) came back with 2 big scratches! Granted not punctures but still a little discerning! Not only that, this company is like the Spirit Airlines of "Pet Resorts" You have to pay for people to even pay attention to your pet! Literally have videos of like 30ish dogs just running around and the Human is not showing any affection or any kind of socialization with any of them! Maybe the staff is just young but I definitely need to schedule a vet visit now! I couldn't get a report, or know anything about how my puppy was doing?? How do I even know I got what I paid for? I had to pay extra, it seems just to make sure my puppy didn't use the restroom in her crate (which is basically what they are kept in!). Essentially 2 hots and a cot literally. You are nickel and dimed. They wouldn't even let me say bye as we dropped her off! Granted this was a last resort and last minute thing but NEVER AGAIN! Should be called "Suite Paws Last Resort!" I have been waffling on writing this review and just letting bygones be bygones, but as my vet bills rack up I will take a few minutes to express my disappointment. In short, I would steer clear of this place--there are other options in the area. I dropped my dogs off for one overnight visit. I brought them at 9 a.m. with the intent to pick them up 24 hours later. It was then brought to my attention--at about 8 p.m. when we checked in (and thankfully, we did) that the dogs did not go outside other than to use the bathroom. It was obviously my expectation that they would be included in the daycare groups as one would assume, but apparently an overnight stay gets you ONLY that--no additional services. The company will predictably reply to this review and try to gaslight me into believing I am wrong, but I am not, and I am sure of this. Their website did not clearly illustrate that they would not be outside with the play groups (it has since been updated) and that I was fully informed of this at check-in. And, yes, I was informed of this at check-in! I specifically asked and was told that, "yes, your dogs will be outside twice per day--once in the morning and once in the afternoon." What would that mean to you, the customer? That they go outside for 3 minutes to take a pee or that they are going outside with the play groups like any other day care? Apparently it is supposed to mean that they are only taken out to go to the bathroom and that any additional "services"--services here being your dog allowed out of the 8x10 cage. Thank goodness we only were supposed to leave them for a day because I have seen the reviews of folks who left their pets for multiple days only to find out after they never left their cage other than to use the bathroom. If I wanted my dogs to stay in an 8x10 room all day I would have just left them at home, paid someone to walk and feed them, and gotten far more for my money--and the dogs would have gone outside! But alas, a lesson learned. The company will also say that they stayed late for me to come pick up my dog around 8:30 p.m.., which may be true, but if someone leaves at, say, 8:00, does that mean the facility is just completely empty with a bunch of dogs in it? I mean, maybe that is standard practice, and if so then it is what it is. They company will also respond and say that they offered to add the additional services, but it was 8 p.m. and I was picking up the next morning, so the damage had been done in my eyes. The manager also said she would call me to discuss but never did but I guess I can understand this as our business had already been lost going forward. And, while I know this is out of the kennel's control--both my dogs have kennel cough as a cherry on top. There are other facilities in the area who clearly illustrate their fee and service schedule. I feel that this company was extremely dishonest in how everything was presented to me--I do not feel it was a miscommunication but dishonest. If you are looking to bring your pet here, just understand that the way things are outlined in the attached imagine--directly from their website on 8/20/2021--that "outside times" does not include daycare, just literally two times they go outside. I would not have even minded paying the fee if I knew what I was paying for, but I also would have never boarded in the first place if I knew I was getting half of what you would get at literally any other kennel (or even using an at-home dog walker) for a higher price. Obviously there are many customers that won't be bothered by any of my above complaints and I am sure they are a fine daycare facility, but based on principle and how I felt a bit lied to by the company I would not recommend this boarding facility. read more

My dog attended daycare once weekly for over almost two years. He loved going to daycare. I also used their boarding service at least 3x. The staff is awesome. They always remember my dog, Chance. They gave Chance tons of attention. When I'd drop him off he would be super excited. My dog would be too excited and have issues breathing. The staff noted the behavior and also made sure he was up to date on his vaccines prior to daycare. They also send out emails if there is a suspected case of Kennel cough in the Triangle. I can't say enough great things about this place. The report card after daycare was always a joy to read. I'll miss this place, probably more than Chance. read more

I will start by saying that I've only toured this place--our dog has not stayed here. The reason being, is that I was totally MORTIFIED by this place. I would never leave my dog here, and wholeheartedly judge anyone who would. It's disgusting. The staff seems indifferent, totally unsympathetic to specific needs of animals, and obviously don't have a love for pets. First and foremost, they only take the dogs to the bathroom TWICE A DAY unless you pay extra for playtime or outdoor time. We were told they take them out one time sometime between 7-9 am, and then again between 7 pm-9pm for 15 minutes. If you pay for the extra time, they will take them out as part of that. Essentially, they hold you hostage by making you pay more so that your pet can use the bathroom the normal and healthy times per day. It's totally inhumane. The lobby seems fine, but the first thing you smell when you walk into the boarding area is the smell of urine, and it really hits you. The area where the dogs are housed was probably 75-80 degrees. No air conditioning, just large fans on the ceiling. The "suites," are the same as the "villas" aka runs, just glass doors instead of cages, and the "TVs," are falling off the walls. There is absolutely no natural light. It looks like an SPCA, certainly not a "pet resort." The doggy daycare area, which you can pay extra to have your pet take part in (unless they aren't spayed or neutered), was also pretty disturbing. There were probably 30 dogs stuffed into a large room with the lights shut off. I can only assume they had the lights off in an attempt to keep the temperature down because the place isn't properly temperature controlled. We don't mind paying premium money for our dog to stay somewhere, and would prefer to pay more if it means our dog will be safe and comfortable. This place is way overpriced. A total ripoff. They charge for every little thing. If you are looking for somewhere that is clean, professional, and reasonably priced, we toured another place in north Raleigh that is relatively new and is owned by 2 past employees of VSH. read more

They call me immediately if they have any questions or concerns and let me know when my boy is doing great. I have told a few of the (wonderful) staff when I pick him up from VIP that I am a little bummed to pick him up sometimes..... he has so much fun with them that he doesn't always get so excited to see me when I pull up! My husband and I LOVE Suite Paws because of the friendly staff, their flexibility, responsiveness to emails, but even more important than that: our dog Senna really really loves coming here! Over the years, she's been to multiple doggy daycares and boarding facilities and I've never seen her this happy. She starts wagging her tail the moment she sees where we are. The staff know her by name and always give us an honest report (even the bad things, we know she's crazy, sorry guys!!). The entire staff is great, but we especially love Jennifer because she puts a smile to your face even at 7am. SuitePaws has gained a customer! Several months ago, I started having some concerns about the high turn over of employees at the dog care facility I had been using for a year. I had sent an inquiry to SuitePaws, but did not switch because it was more expensive. My mistake. An strange incident occurred between my dog and another, who has injured. The manager told me one story, her staff another. But what was clear: My dog had developed bad habits during day care, played too rough and I was not informed of the behavior. SuitePaws did a temperament test, and identified that my dog did in fact have issues that I need to address with a trainer. He won't be going into day care until I'm confident they are addressed. Unlike the other location, SP did not hesitate to tell me about the issue. So I can now trust that they take pet care seriously and use trained staff. I also love the accountability of video streaming the dogs in day care. So no strange stories or pointed fingers. I will definitely be boarding my dogs here in the future! read more

I boarded my babies here again during my xmas/new years 10 day trip. Suite Paws took excellent care of them again. My little toy poddle Rusty will be turning 16 years old in a few weeks and I highly recommend Suite Paws in taking care of your senior dog! He has a hot spot on his leg I've been trying to get him to stop chewing for several months. I was out of the country and Suite Paws contacted me and let me know it looked liked it became infected and he had diarrhea (completely not their fault- it got infected in October as well). They gave him lots of TLC- took him to the vet, kept a close eye on him, gave him his meds, and his bland diet. While I was worried about him, I knew he was in caring, capable hands so I was able to finish my vacation as planned. Thanks for going above and beyond Suite Paws! We have been boarding our dog here for the last few years and everything has always been great, we even had written Suite Paws a 5 star excellent review. After today, we will never be boarding our dog at Suite Paws again. We pay extra for the big room and camera and also pay an additional fee to use the ODoggy app to check on our little boy. We told them when we dropped him off to lay his food out in the evening. From 5pm-9pm when they left for the night, I never saw his food put out. When we asked them, they said they only leave the food out for 15min. Our dog eats when he wants so both bags of food we brought were wasted. Then I called them the following morning to tell them NOT to put him in daycare because we were coming home early and would be there in a little over an hour. I guess it wasn't communicated that he shouldn't go to daycare today? Because he was put in daycare anyways. When he came out he bolted for the door. We paid and left. When we got in the car we noticed he was bleeding right beside his eye. My husband went in say something about it and THEN they wanted to try and explain. I completely understand incidents happen and dogs and get rough sometimes, but they said NOTHING!!!!!!!!! My two get really excited when they see us driving up to Suite Paws and once we get inside they run right up to the staff for hugs and kisses. Our dog boarded at Suite Paws in Raleigh 7/18/18 - 7/22/18 (4 days) and came home very sick from dehydration. When we picked her up they said she did great, everything was fine and she played with other dogs etc. But once home we realized she was sick; she couldn't even hold her diarrhea until she got outside, and she drank quarts of water over the next 24 hours. She had lots of diarrhea which is one of the symptoms of dehydration (I looked it up). She recovered once she was home and had enough water to drink, and now she is fine. But she will never go back to Suite Paws Raleigh again. I called on 7/22/18 and left a voicemail letting them know my concerns with ALL the details, and asked to speak with a manager to talk about the problem. But no one ever called me back (it's been THREE DAYS). When we dropped off the dog I'd voiced concerns about the summer heat; she's an all-black dog and overheats easily in the sun during daycare, do you have shade for her, will you give her enough water etc. "Oh yes, blah blah blah" the nice girl at the desk assured me. But they didn't look out for our dog's health. They didn't give her the water she needed to keep healthy, and they apparently didn't have a clue what was going on with her. And then either the staff erased my voicemail so they wouldn't get into trouble, or they are just truly out of touch with the welfare of the animals in their facility. Don't be snookered by the great pool for the dogs to swim in, the smiles, the cleanliness. The staff at Suite Paws in Raleigh didn't actually pay attention to our pet, and our pet suffered. I often find reviews are written when one's experience has been either world-class or utterly despicable, and those in between do not get reported. Unfortunately, after over a year of good experiences with Suite Paws, one terribly-handled incident will ensure we never do business with them again. After a weekend stay, we were exiting the facility with our dog. Once through the front door, I realized the attendant had forgotten to return a prescription to us (not the first time), so I returned to the lobby while my fiancé waited outside with our dog. Behind me, two dogs exited with two handlers, and I heard a wild yelp only our 110 pound, pushover of a dog could make. I ran outside, and saw that our dog, bleeding profusely, had slipped out of his collar and was running away from my fiancé. We were able to catch and calm him down in the parking lot. A delightful Suite Paws employee, Monique, rushed out with towels and antiseptic to help clean our dog and determine appropriate medical care. This was a convenient time for the handlers of the aggressive dog who lunged at ours to slip out without so much as an apology. Once calm, we returned to the lobby of the facility with Monique. After back and forth phone calls with the owner or General Manager, it was made very clear the kennel would not assume liability for the accident because we were "checked out" of the facility. Technically, it would lie on the other dog for biting ours, but privacy policies would not allow the release of the owner's information (understood, but frustrating). In between Monique's laps to and from the office, another employee mentioned, "That dog is the worst. He is a manager-only dog". After some inquisition, I found that term to define dogs that are only handled, in-house, by managers or employees with special training. This dog, "Simba", was deemed to be a "dog-aggressive dog". To us, this is not an issue of liability. We are not seeking to point fingers and put our hands in others' wallets. This altercation is a clear indicator of a gap in responsible policy and procedure at Suite Paws. There is no reason a known dog-aggressive dog should be permitted to be anywhere on the grounds of the facility, within biting range of another dog. There should be a procedure in place to ensure dog-aggressive dogs are able to check-in and -out of the facility without putting others in danger. After speaking with the General Manager, and having the validity of our frustration and emotions questioned, we were told there is "no other way to handle check-out"... A simple apology and promise to consider alternative methods internally would have sufficed. Our dog is going to be fine. His split nose was stitched back together, and hopefully a physical scar will be all that lingers. Two weeks later, as we stare down the barrel of $800 in vet bills, we hope the lapse in responsible policies at Suite Paws never threatens the safety of another dog, or god-forbid a child. I want to be clear, the ground-floor employees of Suite Paws have been nothing but kind and welcoming to us. I have never doubted or questioned the client-facing teammates we have interacted with. Unfortunately, I seriously question the policies and procedures that dictate the ways in which these great teammates serve their clients. read more

Oh no! The staff seemed OK but not nice. I took a tour a couple of weeks before dropping my Yorkie there and it seemed clean although I thought the room which they keep the dogs were rather warm. Being that this was my first time taking my pooch to a "resort and spa" I didn't have anything to compare it to. When I got my doggie back he wasn't the same! His right eye was a tad bit swollen and Brodie(my dog) was scratching at it. I waited a day and he was better but I didn't get a good feeling from them when I got Brodie back. Although Brodie couldn't talk to me; it took him awhile to get back to "normal". I also asked for them to trim his nails and they barely trimmed them. Let me start this by saying what should always go unsaid: reviews, especially ones on Yelp, are completely and utterly subjective. Because of that, and the sheer volume of reviews for Suite Paws up to and until this point, each review must be taken on it's merits. Once the volume of reviews increases, then the aggregate rating can be trusted. I say this only because of my experience, and my experience alone. I look at some of the more negative reviews on here and could not possibly have had a more different experience, But again, that's MY experience. I cannot judge the validity of another's. As for my experience, it was (from beginning to unfortunate end) simply outstanding. Our family and our sweet girl Shorty were happy customers from from the first day Suite Paws opened. I could tell immediately that this place was different than others we had seen in the Triangle area, and not only since it was brand new. So many boarding houses seem no better than your run-of-the-mill animal shelter, but they should exceed that in every possible way. Suite Paws was clearly built with that in mind. Their outdoor area is by far the best in the Triangle, and the attention that they give the boarders far exceeds every other experience we had. It's clean, modern, and more importantly, boarding and grooming are the ONLY things they do. They have a system that works perfectly, and has clearly been based on best practices. To me, the above points should all be assumed. Otherwise, why would you keep going? Where Suite Paws truly separated themselves from the pack was when we needed it the most. My wife, sons, and I were on our way back from vacation on an early Monday morning when Suite Paws called and let us know that Shorty was very sick. They immediately took her to the vet, who then referred them to VSH off of Capital Blvd. Soon thereafter, an ultrasound was done and it was discovered that Shorty had two large tumors in her intestines. She had seemed a bit slow over the prior few weeks, but nothing that seemed out of the ordinary for an 11-year-old former racing greyhound. At the time, our vet agreed as well. Now though, she was clearly in pain. The ultrasound showed us that it was only a matter of time before her intestines gave out, and the pain only increased. It was clear that Shorty would need to be put down. We were heartbroken. We wanted to be there with her. From the moment they called us early that Monday morning, to her last moments late that Monday night, someone from Suite Paws never left her side. To say they went above and beyond would be putting it mildly. They were simply extraordinary. All I know is what I know. But what I know is that I cannot imagine taking my pet anywhere else. We have referred a number of different people to Suite Paws, and have received the same feedback each time. I would be willing to bet that you would be added to the long list of lucky ones. read more

I am kicking myself for not writing a review for Suite Paws before today... can't believe it slipped my mind! We've been taking our Bernese Mountain Dog here ever since she was spayed at six months old. I actually think this is the first place she was ever boarded. Two out-of-state moves and two and a half years later, we're back in Raleigh and still completely in love with Suite Paws. It is literally my go-to any time I need to board my girl or take her for a fun-filled day of playtime, and I'm happy to say that the level of quality and care has never waivered. The location is a little bit outside of Raleigh off of Highway 264, but it's definitely easy enough to get to. The building is large and always very clean (and yes, I did take a tour of the back). Their outdoor facility is awesome; it even has the cutest pool for all of the dogs to cool off in! Our dog, Augusta, is always excited when we pull into the driveway. They have a great drop-in daycare program that I take her to some Fridays when I feel like she should "stretch her legs" and socialize. She is always happy and worn out when I pick her back up. The staff is extremely friendly and professional; every time I call to schedule a boarding visit or just to secure a daycare spot, they make me feel like part of the family. This is truly one of the only places I feel comfortable leaving my dog for an extended period of time. I often judge a business by how they react to "issues;" a few months ago, I had scheduled to drop off Augusta on a Saturday afternoon for a boarding visit. I (incorrectly) thought they closed at 7:00 PM on Saturday, so I was doing a few things around the house and planned to drive her over around six after she ate dinner. Unfortunately, they close at 5:00 PM on Saturday... I was called about 4:45 PM to see if I was still planning on bringing her in. I panicked, because I had an early flight the next morning and had no alternatives if she didn't get checked in that night. They were willing to stay a few extra minutes for me to quickly get her in the car and drive over. I'm sure that whoever was working was not thrilled about staying late to check me in because I can't read the website properly, but they were kind and very acceptive of my profuse apologies. They treated Augusta with the same level of care and made me feel like it was no big deal. I will remember this experience and chalk it up to Suite Paws just being a great business, period. So.... not really pleased. First time went well... second time not so much. They didn't give me my dog's collar when we picked her up. With a busy week ahead, coming back from vacation, I called a few days later.... they lost her collar. After a long talk with the manager they found it. She assumed I'd be happy with that, but I wasn't. I was initially calling to let them know I'd be picking up the collar and ask why they didn't call me to let me know they had it or it was left behind (it does have her name and number on it after all, it's a dog collar). They are also awesome about remembering your pets and their likes/dislikes. We just returned from our first week-long vacation after adopting our dog, Riley and were extremely pleased with the service provided by Suite Paws. We were very nervous about the decision to board him vs. having in-home daily care, but are glad we decided to go with Suite Paws in the end. We were referred by our awesome trainer, Angel Wasserman (www.pawsintraining.com) and felt confident that she would have a reliable and trustworthy recommendation -- and she did! We chose a villa for Riley and 1/2 day of daycare daily (we did not do full days as he had not previously been in dog daycare). We were so pleased to see him playing with other dogs on the cameras -- noting that his tail was always up and obviously having a great time. When we checked on him at night he was usually curled up on his bed (that we were able to bring from home) and obviously tuckered out from playing. The staff were extremely friendly at drop off and pick up, doting over Riley and obvious "dog people." We are going to start bringing Riley in for daycare on a continuing basis and will definitely use the facility when we go out of town and need to find a place for him to stay. The only areas for improvement we noted were that the cameras were not working once or twice when we logged on (though, I can't imagine there aren't technical glitches here and there that come with the territory of having 24 hr. cameras). I also would have really loved a report on Riley's eating and behavior when we checked out. We asked the girls on site at the time and they had been in daycare with him a couple times and had some feedback, but it would have been nice to have notes collected over the week. All in all, I would definitely recommend this facility to others and will be bringing Riley back in the future. read more

This is the worst kennel I have ever been to and it's suppose to be a "resort." I arrived home early and called to see if I could pick up my Sheltie early and there response was we're closing in 15 minutes so if your not here by than everyone will gone. The dog is left in a kennel for hours and hours especially during holidays. I paid extra for my Sheltie to be groomed when I picked him up his haircut was pretty bad. The worst part of boarding my dog there was he brought home fleas. And you could tell he had been holding in his pee for so long when he got outside of the kennel he peed for over 5 minutes. My Golden has spent several visits. Every time I have found the staff to be most friendly and helpful. The place smells clean and looks clean. Bella has had 2 grooming treatments at the SPA and each has been outstanding. I am very comfortable leaving my Bella there. Great Place read more

I was ok with this place - my dog has been going there since Oct 2014 - however, the last stay they gave me my dog with one hand and her tooth with the other. I can't thrust them to take care of her anymore. On top of that -they called us about the issue and although they were in the office- They made my husband wait until their Sunday open door schedule before they allowed him to pick her up to take her to emergency care. I also, don't believe all the money you pay for the cuddle time is really well spent. There is no guarantee your pet is receiving special care. When you are picking up and they are busy, you have to really request information about the stay as they try to rush you out the door. We are very disappointed!! read more

My husband and I initially introduced our puppy to doggie daycare through Suite Paws. We loved it at first and we could tell our dog did also. After about a month we noticed she kept getting this large bumps on her. We related it to her allergies as she was experiencing reactions to a few things at the time. We decided to pull her from Suite Paws and try another daycare. We just recently tried to send her back to Suite Paws because our dog is a lab and LOVES water. We thought the pool would just make her day. After two weeks we have found large scratches on her. When I addressed one of the workers they said my dog played rough so other dogs play rough with her. Instead of assuring me that this would not continue and they would keep an eye on her, they blamed my dog. I was under the impression the workers were there to keep an eye on my dog and other dogs. If my dog is playing so rough that she is getting large wounds (our vet found them to be concerning) then they should correct my dog instead of just letting her go crazy. She has never had this issue at the daycare we switched her to after Suite Paws so I don't think this was a valid response to my concern. I agree the staff is friendly, but I don't think they keep a close enough eye on the dogs and how rough they play. They also did not make me feel comfortable leaving my dog there after voicing my concerns. read more

I own an extremely pampered eleven year old shih-tzu. Since the day we got her, she has always hated having her nails trimmed, and really doesn't like being groomed. In-fact, I have had several groomers from other facilities who have told me that it is impossible to groom her. As of about three years ago, my shih-tzu suffers from terrible arthritis and cannot stand for long periods of time. Summer, one of the groomers at Suite Paws, is always our go-to! She is great! Chloe literally jumps out of my arms and into theirs when I'm dropping her off and she rarely does that with anyone else. We have always had extremely great services from Summer's grooming. I haven't ever used this facility for boarding, as she is eleven and has never been boarded and gets extremely depressed when I go out of town. But we definitely love the grooming! read more

I would highly recommend Suite Paws. I tried other boarding facilities in the area- no comparison. The staff is so friendly and personal. My dog comes home exhausted. When we turn onto Rogers Ln my dog starts wagging his tail and gets so excited. We all LOVE Suite Paws. read more

My girls, Brooke and Oakley, love going to Suite Paws. I love that they post photo on Facebook of all the pups during daycare. My jack-mix went swimming for the first time and they got some great pictures of her. We then took them there for a long weekend boarding and again it was awesome that while away on vacation I could go on FB and see pictures of my girls playing. I really only have two small criticisms and neither have to do with the way they care for the pets: 1.) one staff member was a little short with me on the phone. 2.) I wish that they filled out "report cards" for me to read over. I picked my dogs up from boarding and besides the photos on FB, I didn't get any feed back on their stay. It is very obvious that it is a very clean and well organized facility. My dogs will definitely be returning. read more

This was our first and last visit to Suite Paws. Our stay was HORRIBLE !! The application process is extensive and unnecessary if the staff is not going to read the documentation. If there were any questions / concerns about my pet's stay, a call from the staff would have been appreciated. Especially considering we were first time customers. I boarded my dog for 3 nights. Who would board their dog for 3 nights without daycare time (time to exercise and stretch their legs)? The staff didn't follow directions and tried to make it seem as though it was my fault that my 60lb boxer dog was caged for 3 days . The staff was very unapologetic about the situation and the exit bath was not worth the money. My dog did not smell clean upon pick-up. I would NOT recommend this center. This was the third time our dog, Camo, has stayed at Suite Paws. We requested a groom for him on this visit. We asked for a "slight trim". When we picked him up, he was unrecognizable to us. Shaved to the point that flesh was showing all along his body. The WORST part of this was the tiny nicks we noticed on his ear tips. Tiny, perfectly straight little slices , one on each ear. The nicks oozed quite a bit the rest of the evening and started to scab over the next morning. Over the next couple of days, the scabs on the ear tips got bigger and Camo became restless and whimpered often. We took him to his vet for evaluation (5days after pickup) . She had to shave, debride and irrigate those areas. She said his ear tips had definitely been nicked and are now infected. Camo is now on an antibiotic for 2 weeks, twice daily wound care, and pain medicine. When I called to speak to the manager, Jessica about the matter, she in turn put me on hold while she talked to the groomer. She came back on the line a minute later to say that the groomer denied nicking Camo whatsoever and that he did "great" during his groom. First of all, we know our dog and know that he is very feisty and has never done great during a groom. Secondly, the vet said they had definitely been cut (not bit, scratched or gnawed on). I guess it's her word against his and he's not talking. I was offered a free groom at Camo's next stay, but of course will not plan on ever using this facility again. read more
