You will NOT find better than The Fetching Post! I have been with them for over 30 years. The owner is PHENOMENAL, not to mention the staff. While I have only needed grooming services, I hear and understand that the daycare and boarding are also wonderful! You could not ask for better groomers and front desk staff! They offer other services as well (website on-line, pet-sitting services, vet days, dog training, dog taxi/appt. service, picture days for memories, etc.) While, they are not a vet and cannot give official medical advice; they have helped me on many occasions when I was concerned about my furr-baby(ies)/furriend(s) over the years (ie. yeast infection in the ear, etc.). It saved me an expensive vet trip(s) and put my mind at ease (and they had the product on hand to treat as well). They truly care about and love our/your/their pets and fur-babies/furriends as well! I have personally witnessed and know that they all "love" pets & animals themselves! Understandably, the owner stays very very busy, but will always assist! The owner and staff are ALWAYS friendly and accommodating! A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Sonya, Amy, Christy, Brittany and Robin. Note: If you or your pet gets use to a particular groomer, you can always ask specifically for them, but they ALL do a GREAT job ALWAYS! The front desk staff (Sonya) (& the owner; but again stays sooo busy but will always help) are very knowledgeable and have helped me with matters on numerous occasions (ie. the yeast infection in the ear). MANY of the staff have had vet experience (such as vet techs, etc.). The Fetching Post has your and your pet's best interests at heart always! THEY DELETED MY REVIEW ON GOOGLE LOL WOW! So here it is again.... Without getting into too much detail, Initially great customer service and our dog was super happy when he got home. After the honeymoon phase. A Complete 180. Trash customer service with like a how dare you bring your amazing dog ( Yes , sweetest dog and very rare breed .) here? Felt Like we were bothering them to show up. Especially the girl who is always at the desk every morning. I believe her name is Lyric. Her Saccharine, disingenuous, Phony over the top behavior is so obvious thats it's uncomfortable. This was not a one time occurrence. It was 4 occasions in a row where me and my wife had to literally watch the cameras all day and having to call the facility to please let our dog out of the tiny room they stored him in for 3hrs barking his head off. That is UNACCEPTABLE for this breed especially! And any other breed for that matter. Seems like they play favorites with their own pets and punish others but im not 100% on that . We should be able to drop our dog off and not have to worry about policing him all day. If you have a well really really well behaved dog, steer clear. It is Zebulon NC after all. Side note this is solely based on daycare. I can't speak about the boarding and Grooming. I truly believe that the owner and most of the staff are super friendly and really good people. Great place for grooming our Irish Doodles. They are friendly and priced in a way that we can afford.

We booked boarding for our 3 fur babies, 2 of which had not been previously boarded. We travel extensively so needed a reliable facility that felt more like a home. I was anxious leaving them but received wonderful updates, with pictures and daily reports. We've already scheduled their next boarding. This place is Awesome! My two fur babies love coming to see "Ms. Teresa " Ace and Sadie are little pups that are very socially awkward toward strangers, but The Fetching Post is great with them, they were referred to me by my coworker, so it's 4 and counting with other coworkers now using them too. My daughter has used the boarding facility and her Big Larger than life....Pit Remy, she had a blast. It's a Good Place come check it out. read more

My senior yorkie Rosco has been boarded at the Fetching Post and I also take him for grooming and sometimes he stays for daycare. Highly recommend, the people are nice and friendly and really care about the animals. No problems during any visit. His most recent visit was just a bath and touch up groom bc in the winter we let his coat grow longer for warmth-Rosco doesn't like to wear sweaters. read more

Once again, The Fetching Post has gone above and beyond. I realized the day before drop off that the Sunday drop off time was at 1:00 pm rather than 7:30 am. We were planning to go on vacation with a friend with a departure time of 8:00 am. I called In a panic and spoke to Gavin. He was so kind and accommodating. He assured me all would be okay and he worked out an early drop off time for us. Not only are they good to my dog, who absolutely loves it there, but their customer service is top notch. I have visited The Fetching Post in Zebulon, NC, three times for grooming services for my 43-pound Mini Goldendoodle. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly. However, their grooming process raises concerns; there isn't an appointment system--customers specify only the day they want service. On that day pets are dropped off from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM on a first-come, first-served basis but do not begin grooming until 10:00 AM, resulting in pets being kenneled for a minimum of 2.5 hours before grooming starts. During my last visit, I was asked to return in 5.5 hours for a simple trim, which seems excessive. I requested express grooming to minimize the waiting time, but they do not offer such a service, nor were alternatives provided. It's important for customers to be aware of this process and the extended waiting times. While this may be acceptable for some pet owners, I am concerned about my pet's well-being, and this approach does not align with my expectations for her care. I will probably return to my previous groomer of 13 years, even though it's nearly a 30-minute drive each way. read more

I have been taking my Goldendoodle, Cooper, to Amy and staff since he was a pup. Every Wednesday he goes to daycare there so we can keep him social with other people and fur babies. . They also do all his grooming and I have never been disappointed. They love Cooper as if he was their own fur baby and he loves them! All I have to say is "Ready to go to school?" and he jumps with excitement. I couldn't ask for anyone to be any better to my furry son! read more

These people are RUDE! The girl that is in the back has always been so nice but the ladies up front are extremely rude & get mad when you call and check on your dog!!!! How dare you! I called and spoke with Sue and was very nice to her and asked her how my dogs were b/c they are like my children...she told me they were fine (but didn't even ask what my dogs names were???) she then proceeded to tell me they ha e so many dogs there & that they are fine. MAYBE y'all should cut back on how many dogs you take in and start caring more about the quality of care you give to the dogs and your customers! Have you ever heard quality over quantity. It's a thing & you should try it. I DO NOT recommend this place to ANYONE! If they are rude to me I just wonder how they treat my dogs. I will never use this place ever again. PS: when I went and picked my dogs up they tried to say we didn't pay...which we always have pre-paid. THEN said that one of my dogs was having some stomach problems...WHY DIDNT YOU MENTION THAT TO ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED AND ASKED ABOUT THEM? If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. We had our dog boarded there for three days and when we picked him up we noticed all the dogs being boarded were all in crates stacked on top of each other, some up to 3 high. There were also multiple dogs that had to be in the office because they were not ok in the crates. We saw a couple picking up two dogs, they told the tech what kind of dogs they were and exactly where they were because they could see them through the glass and she still brought out the wrong dog and even asked if they were sure it wasn't their dog. Only after we paid and left the highest tip possible were we told that our dog scratched his nose on the crate and we could just put neosporin on it because that's what they had been doing yet we never got a call about it nor were we advised he was so anxious that he rubbed his nose raw trying to get out of the crate. Our dog was lethargic once we got him in the car and hasn't been the same since. Once we got home he immediately drank an entire bowl of water and ate 2 full meals because he obviously did not eat while he was there then we noticed he was limping quite badly which just got worse as the evening went on. Our dog is a very energetic playful dog and all he will do is lay on the couch once he is able to get up there because it is hard for him because of the limp. I did call and ask if anyone knew why he was limping but no one had a clue and brushed it off like it didn't matter. We picked him up yesterday at 5pm and will be taking him to the vet today to be checked out to make sure there is nothing serious going on as he is still limping horribly and is still very lethargic. We will never use this place again. read more

Just took my corgi here. Wanted half off it's hair AT MOST. Barely half an inch of hair left. Corgis don't need a shave, just a trim. Spoke with the groomer about it beforehand and everything. When leaving I was given a $5 coupon and was told "We don't like it when the customer isn't happy" but they still took my money. Mocha and I will never visit here again. You pay for a service you want. Take your pets somewhere else. Just shave your dog yourself if that's what you want. I pay for a groom, not a buzz. Don't give them a dime. read more

Took my 6lb shih poo here this week for a groom. My husband picked her up and noticed immediately that something wasn't quite right with our dogs behavior and her groom. He called me, I immediately came home. Upon first glance, I noticed that her cut was very uneven, not just in one or two spots, but all over. After further examining my dog, I noticed that she had several nicks near her leg, this was never mentioned at pick up! She's been getting groomed for over a year(she's only 15 mo old) and has never acted this terrified or looked this horrible or been nicked! I took her back up there to show the owner the poor quality of the groom, she agreed it was not up to par and offered to fix it. I declined and asked for a refund. This was the right thing to do; however, I cannot undo the emotional damage done to my dog here and now she has to walk around looking horrible! After receiving my refund, I immediately took her to our regular groomer, she was just as mortified by my dog as I was and also pointed out that my dogs toenails hadn't even been trimmed and she still had knots in her ears. Upon further examination of my dog, she also noticed that my dogs body temp was raised and stated the most likely cause for this was all of the stress she endured earlier. Later that night, I tried to put my dog in her crate(around midnight, we picked her up around 2:30) and she whined profusely, this is not normal behavior for her at all! She hasn't whined in her crate since the week we brought her home(over a year ago). I wasn't there and can't say for certain exactly what happened to my dog while in their care, but I can say that something very traumatizing happened and her cut is atrocious! Save your money and steer clear of this place! They'll never get another dime from me! I could've done a bette job myself and I'm no groomer! read more
