Walked in there today looking for an extra Valentine's day gift for my husband and was "greeted" by absolutely NO ONE. There was an associate on the register by the door, who clearly saw me walk in but neglected to remember his manners much less his customer service skills, while there was another associate on his cell phone walking around who also saw me standing there but neither of them uttered a single peep. I was the only customer in the store in all of the 3 minutes that I was in there. No one seemed to care. My husband has purchased from this store before. We are neighbors, we live 2 blocks away in Hyde Park Village. This is not the kind of treatment, nor culture that our neighborhood deserves. Very much like Ben M's post on 05/17/17, this store continues to lack respectful, professional, caring staff. Management- Please do something or you won't be in town much longer. read more

This place was such a disappointment. My fiancé, his mom, and I came in for an initial appointment with Joel for a suit for our wedding. Despite not being acknowledged by anyone, we were hoping we'd get a good experience since we had a 1 on 1 appointment. Joel was not only totally dismissive, but completely unhelpful. The whole experience was honestly awkward. We had to ask to try things on, my fiancé was given jackets that didn't fit, and in the middle of our appointment Joel just walked away and said he'd be back. We took that opportunity to leave and not further waste our time. We were expecting help, suggestions, and an explanation of the process, options, etc. but instead we felt like an inconvenience. We are happy to take our business elsewhere! read more

Went in for a full custom made suit. First fitting was absolutely terrible (material, fit, size) but was assured changes would help. Second fitting was equally as bad which prompted a manager to start a new order altogether. Suit will not be ready for event even though I went in over a month prior to event. read more

My husband used to shop at the Suit Supply frequently in Connecticut and all of his suits are from the brand. He was hoping to purchase 3 or 4 complete new outfits today. We walked into the Suit Supply location today in Hyde Park and not one person acknowledged us. In fact, there was a meeting going on at a table in the back where an employee was interviewing someone or having some sort of business meeting where they were discussing the Suit Supply "brand" and how amazing their service was... but ironically they, too, completely ignored us. Finally, after about 15 minutes we walked out. Nobody so much as looked up at us. We were dressed very nicely in work attire and I don't think it was our appearance that made them dismiss us. We came here in May for my husband's suit to try on and shop for our 2nd wedding event. When we first arrived we did not feel too welcomed, everyone was just doing their own business until we asked for help. I am not one to write a negative review, but our experience was so distasteful. We had Joel assist my husband and we knew what colors and material we wanted but that was the extent of our knowledge. As a groom looking for a suit we were expecting similar standards to how a bride goes to a boutique and tries on dresses. A warm and friendly approach but Joel wasn't it. We were 100% sold on buying a suit here because honestly we love the variety and styles and we have heard good things about this company. Another negative example was when we were trying on ties, I simply asked if there was another size and he said (along the lines of), "feel free to go somewhere else," when we were just curious if that was their only selection. We were a couple willing to learn and take advice from the professional, but when they come off rude and pretentious, it makes the whole experience unpleasant. Personally we won't be coming back here again... we'd rather just order online or find another location. With all the reviews here talking about their customer care, they need to reevaluate their team... read more

Stopped in to buy a linen suit yesterday. Woman at counter said she'd be right with me. She and another women at counter were waiting on a young GQ looking guy. I'm a tad older but not dead. Tried on several jackets by myself. No one came to help or assist. Still chatting up leaving GQ guy. I left for dinner. They lost $500+ sale and I'll never go back. There are other options. Went in here last week with a friend to look around - I live in Atlanta, so we have a SuitSupply there in Buckhead. I have bought 5 suits from them based on the product, but also the service - it's excellent in Atlanta. Unfortunately, their Tampa location did not have the same feel to it. Upon entering, we were barely greeted - there was one gentleman working but he seemed to not care if we were there or not. Because I had been to the Atlanta location many times, I was the one walking my friend through the different suits and their fit. Get some new staff in this location - it's hurting your brand. read more

Simply the worst. If I could give negative stars I would. I went to purchase a custom built jacket and pants for my beach wedding five months in advance. Got fitted and bought the pants. Came back two weeks with bridal party and was told that they ran out of pants and anything close in color or fabric. Told me they should get soon. Also ran out of fabric for original jacket forcing me to pick another color. In eight weeks returned to jacket not fitting, shirt needing alterations and no pants. Was told new colors for the pants fabric coming out soon. At this point I went to other venues and ended up buying pants off the shelf at Perry Ellis because Suit supply could never provide them. So no custom pants. Suit Supply then said would be a couple of days for alterations went back 1 week later not done. I have to travel for work so was unable to try on and left for 3 weeks. Came back month later still did not fit right. Now I am worried with wedding being 1 month out. They promised would be fixed. Went back 1 week later. Jacket was worse than before. I asked tailor how could they fix this? His answer and that of the manager was there was nothing they could do and how would I recommend they fix the Jacket? My reply was I don't make suits for a living that's your job I don't know how to fix this issue. The truth is they can't and don't know how to properly tailor and fit items. They ask their customer for advice. My measurements are not unique I am 5'10 190lbs with a muscular build. They were unable to present me with an alternative other than we can restart 6-8 weeks or buying off the rack and they could try to adjust that. Knowing I am getting married in 3 weeks I decided to take my business elsewhere. The worst decision was walking into this sham of a store. They are frauds. I know of friends and family who have had positive experiences with Suit Supply in NYC. I think the the Tampa store must have incompetent and poorly trained staff unable to properly fit clothes and do NOT care about your special event or the customer. I cannot recommend or advise more strongly to avoid this store at all costs. I was forced to buy something off the rack and get it altered. My wedding will be with an off the rack jacket and pants because suit supply was unable and uncommitted to me the customer. This is most unfortunate and suit supply made this experience stressful and a waste of time. This unfortunately, is a negative memory that will be cherished the rest of my days. I went to that store 5 times and left with nothing. The remainder of the day was spent going from store to store looking for something to wear. Days ruined for their mistakes. I am still stunned how corporate can allow such a horrible representation of their brand to exist. Do Not go here. Suit Supply Tampa is a prime example of the decline in knowledge, care, craftsmanship, and standards that pervades society today. This abomination should not exist. read more

BUYERS BEAWARE! Don't let Joel and Edwin's fancy clown suits fool you! My frustration doesn't come from being the laughing stock of the wedding party this past weekend but for the horrific alterations I received, not once but twice from both Joel and Edwin's measurements but from their lack of professionalism (somehow it is my fault they couldn't properly alter my suit TWICE). When I landed today and went directly to their location I was fortunate to have them both in the store so they couldn't blame each other for the mistakes. I was hopeful because of the price I paid for the suit($400) and alterations($70) that we could resolve this situation but boy was I wrong. It was funny when Joel asked me "how do I handle issues in my profession?" my response was " the customers always right and we make sure to accommodate their needs". Just shows his intelligence levels even after I gave him the simple answer to the problem. Tampa business people like myself don't handle situations like this and our great community doesn't need any snakes trying to take advantage of their location in Hyde Park as a CLASSY operation. Need proof next time you are at the light at Kennedy and willow just ask the homeless gentleman his thoughts on the suit! read more

I had a great experience at suitsupply in Hyde Park. I normally purchase made to measure suits that cost close to double the price of the avg ss suit. Honestly, I can't tell any difference in quality between my made to measure suits and my ss suit. The staff was top notch and their suits are stylish and elegant. I'll be purchasing more ss suits. read more

A co-worker and I stopped in to Suit Supply a few days ago as we noticed it was one of the newer stores on the block. I initially didn't have any intention of making a purchase but I was able to talk my co-worker into getting a suit (lets say he needed a more "modern look" in his rotation). As we browsed around we were assisted by Ulises who was able to educate us and get my co-worker into a more up-to-date look. I learned A LOT from the staff and my co-worker left comfortable and confident with his Suit Supply purchase. I can guarantee you that I'll be getting myself a few selections from here soon. I would rank this location as a one stop shop for any men's dress wear needs and I must give credit to the phenomenal service by Ulises. read more
