Great store... purchased some unique finds, worth the stop over for sure. Had my hair done by Gabriella (extensive color + color correction) and cut- she was fantastic!!! This was my first time with her, but comparing to prior hair visits at various places, I would say she has taken the crown so far. Will see how everything grows out- but as far as the following goes she is a rock star: -taking her time, never rushing (I was the only person there) -knowledgeable about the Wella hair care line -knows what looks good on you as far as your shape face for a cut and skin tones/undertones for color -no forced conversations -maybe pricey for some, but for the quality of work- you don't want to cheap out -great blow-out/styling!!!! I got my hair colored by Elena and haircut by Virginia. Both did an incredible job and were well worth the ride into Brooklyn. Elena fixed my badly colored "balayage" job from a different salon and did an incredible job. She did everything possible to keep my hair as healthy as possible with Olaplex and was very nice throughout the whole process. I have never loved my hair more. If I move away from NYC I will fly in every few months just to get my hair done by her again!! I get so many compliments on my hair now!! The haircut by Virginia was also everything I wanted but was never able to get anywhere else. I wanted to keep the length while cutting off any split ends (from the previous bad color job), I wanted some movement in my hair such as long layers without it looking choppy, and Virginia did an amazing job at making my hair look just as I always imagined it. Do yourself a favor and go here if youre looking to get beautiful hair!! read more

Welcome to the neighborhood, Su'juk! And thank you! What a gem! So cute, so well curated, and such cool prices. My husb spotted the shop and knew I needed to check it. Once in, I was stunned. In 10 minutes and 2 transactions later, I have a phenomenal pair of vintage Levi's that fit like a glove & a to-die-for vintage aztec-inspired suede trimmed jacket for a total of $105! For real. I love this spot. This store is so unique and the girls there have exquisite taste! Where else can you go and pick out some badass vintage outfit and get your hair colored while getting your nails done? They also support young emerging local designers which I love! I've been to Elena, the badass colorist there a couple of times and she's the most talented and humble person I've ever met. Oh and I found out that she colored Lady Gaga's hair!!!! She's a true artist, she listens and makes sure you are happy when you walk out the door and does she deliver! I can't believe this store exists in Clinton Hill! I loved this place! Honestly, the set up was so cozy. The selection they have is small yet every item there is uniquely selected, so you really won't find it anywhere else. There is also two large racks along the wall that helps when you're looking through their accessories. In the back area there are two chairs for what looks to be a hair salon as well. What doesn't this place do? Lots of their items are from Turkey. Cute little bowls that are beautifully painted in turquoise and white. Really great for little needed gifts. read more

This place is a magical addition to the neighborhood. I am so excited to have them open. The decor is so adorable, unique, cozy and original. I have been shopping there since they opened. I've had been wanting a change to my hair for a while but still wanted to keep it long so a dramatic fringe seemed like a good call. Getting bangs can be nerve wracking but the stylist matched the photo and trimmed the sides so it all flows perfectly and frames my face really well. Plus I got two new outfits to complete the look. Such a perfect little treasure - I go to Su'juk because I can count on finding something absolutely beautiful to add to my wardrobe (the Su'juk proprietress has an uncanny eye for vintage and assemblage and it tortures your fingers in the most fabulous way to sift through the racks of hangers hanging from organic pieces of driftwood à la Pinterest DIY.) Most likely, she's wearing something pretty incredible of her own, and she'll chat with you about what you're looking for, probably while simultaneously crafting a new sweet-something to display in her window. The Su'juk store is the most pleasant blend of Turkish (Su's native country), Southern (she's a North Carolina girl), Brooklyn (she's a well-established local), and fashion (she's a Parsons grad and word is traveling pretty quickly of this go-to spot for those who just -- love to shop. :-p ) Constantly collaborating with artists and designers, and even recently having set up a weekly window to come in for a manicure (her girl is apparently a famous nail artist in Japan!) Su is a perfect addition to the neighborhood. At her opening party, all of the local businesses chipped in food and drinks in a sure toast to the new favorite spot. Go see for yourself.... read more
