Lash Lift !! First, I would like to point out that I love getting my brows threaded here. I have thin brows and only ask for cleanups. I get along very will with both of the workers here, very nice people. But I do have to write about an experience I had recently I booked an appointment for a lash lift for my brothers wedding here because I've had my lash lift done here once before. I assumed that the mom would do my lashes and my brows as she always does when I go. When I arrived I learn the daughter is taking care of me, and I had no problem with that for some reason. My appointment went well, I had some good conversation with the young lady and even connected on finding a dress for me to bring. Of course, when you get a lash lift you cannot wet them for 24 hours. I know this, and protected my lashes. I would also like to point out that lash lifts last 3 months as you read. Below I am attaching a photo of my lashes a couple hours later on day of lash lift. I immediately noticed how curled one spot of my lashes were compared to my other eye. The day after, I brushed my lashes with a clean lash brush and noticed they had a crunchy feel and were not separating. The wedding was 2 days after my appointment, I applied mascara as it has been over 24 hours I can wet them. Upon applying mascara I realized that my lashes were sticking together sideways making me look bald in one spot of my eye. No matter what I did it was just too curled to fix. Attaching a photo of my lashes with mascara on. My lashes looked crazy and there was nothing I could do about it. A couple days later I'm looking at my lashes, the roots feel kind of numbed and some lashes look like they're falling off, I use the lash brush and yup. A couple lashes fell out. Over the course of the past month I have had only a few lashes fall off, my eye has felt super irritated, my eye has gotten red af, and the extreme curl has not gone away. Attaching 1 photo of irritated eye. I have no idea if this is related but I honestly felt like I should include it just in case. Attaching 2 photos of how it looks now. I am not satisfied with the service I requested. I'm a big mascara girl and I've had lash lifts done before, it NEVER looked like this. I feel ugly when I do my makeup so I haven't been doing it and my mascaras are gonna get clumpy from sitting out for 3 months doing nothing. Getting a lash lift done here is a waste of money and I think it may also be unsafe??? Get your brows threaded here, the ladies here are cool, I love them. But in all honesty I'm personally never letting them touch my lashes again . read more

I've been coming here for almost one year now and I can't say enough good things about this family owned business. They always promptly reply to my appointment requests, and they treat you like family. I always come here to get my eyelashes done and threading of the eyebrows. Onela tells you how to maintain them. I follow her instructions and they last me a very long time. The only time I see larger amounts of eyelashes falling is when I want to get a fresh set and don't really care to maintain what I have on, so I just rub on my eyes and clean them vigorously before seeing them again that week. Even then I still have lots of eyelashes on. I don't have to see them for probably two months or three months if I'm stretching it. I get compliments on my eyelashes all the time because people think they are real. I hope to be coming here for a very long time! read more

Shout out to Sulafa Beauty Salon! Sometimes a girl needs pampering and to keep up with the general maintenance that I require. I am quite the stickler when it comes to my eyebrows and I don't trust just anyone with these brows and hair removal needs. Sulafa is probably the best eyebrow artist I have ever had the opportunity to have. So I am very thankful for that. She had transformed my eyebrow and lash game to flawless! I do threading for my lashes and it always leave them looking sharp. I always get a mixture of the medium and long lashes but they offer a variety of different types (full lash/natural/mix). They do full body waxing in a private room and other services like eyebrow tinting and facials. Sue is super accommodating and friendly. The shop itself is conveniently located on Milwaukee and Harlem. There is parking available. She often gets busy but she has couches and TV for waiting. The shop itself is very clean. The prices are very affordable and worth it considering she is like an artist with every single customer and take special care of everyone. I highly recommend her for all your eyebrow/hair removal/lash/facial needs. I have seen her work some wonders! I joke that I go up to the NW side once a month to visit my parents and to visit Sulafa. She's the absolute best! I've been to so many places in the city and suburbs and Sulafa has the most consistent and talented service. She's so sweet and the salon is always clean and inviting. The fact that they didn't expect me to showcase how unprofessional this response was is laughable. I guess that's what happens when your "manager" is your daughter in her 20s.... I never stated I received a lash or brow lift I'm smart enough to see the before and afters on the Instagram and know that's not a good choice (which is why I suggested to do so in my review). Also why would someone LIE about you burning their Brazilian area?!?! Implying that I'm lying is ridiculous. Also, what can possibly be done about my peeling skin??? It was not bruised it was BURNT. It felt tender when I left but I thought nothing of it until I seen the next day how I was PEELING. Which has NEVER happened at any other establishment. Like what would I have to do to MAKE my freshly waxed area PEEL?!?! read more

Sulafa answered the phone with a pleasant voice & assured me she didn't mind if I came as a walk in anytime before closing. I walked in about 20 minutes before closing time & there was no wait.
