Vivacity Beauty Salon is located in Morton Grove, right off of Dempster, and offers threading, eyelash, body waxing, tinting, and facial services. They also offer every Specials, which involves combos: brows+lip, brows+lip+chin, brows+tinting, brows+lashes, or full legs+Brazilian. You can call ahead and make appointments, or they welcome walk-ins as well. Just note that this place does get super busy, and there may be about a 10-15 minute wait, depending on the number of customers that are waiting. I accompanied my mom, and the service was top-notch and super detail-oriented! There are plenty of chairs in the waiting area, with magazines and some treats. Don't forget to get their loyalty punch card! The staff are super friendly, welcoming, efficient, but also takes their time with each client. The threading and the waxing seem to be the most popular services that are requested. Wonderful experience! I was able to get a last minute appointment and she helped me figure out the best service for my trip since I am new to the world of eyelash treatments. I ended up getting my eyelashes permed and tinted. The process took about an hour but she walked me through the whole process and made the time go by quickly. So I saw the great reviews and I decided to give this place a try. I was really surprised when I walked in. It's small and the waxing rooms are just small rooms with accordion doors that clip closed. The floor was dirty and sticky. I would have worn sandals if I had known it would be so gross to walk on. As for the actual wax, the woman was pleasant but overall this was a bad experience. The wax was too hot and she didn't​ really do much to fix the temp (she blew on the stick before applying it to my skin). I had an appointment for a Brazilian and full leg wax, but the woman seemed surprised when I didn't get up after she finished the Brazilian and I had to tell her I wanted my legs done. The table got messy and sticky from wax, and the paper kept sticking to me during the appt. I also had wax all over my foot and legs when I left. During the wax, she kept going over one spot on my thigh. It burned and hurt and I could tell she was damaging my skin. Sure enough I have blood spots/bruising on my thigh where she was working. As for the quality of work, I have scabbing on my vaginal lips, and there are patches of hair on my leg and pubic region that she missed. My bikini line is also irritated, as if I have razor burn. I always drive down Dempster but somehow just found out about this place. They've been around almost 4 years apparently. I walked in around 5:15pm on a Friday and was able to get seated right away. The place is not big but quite clean. For $6, their threading price is competitive compared to other threading places in the area. I usually go to one in Skokie that charges $1 more and charges extra if you use card.. I've been pretty displeased with that place so this might be my new go-to. I didn't feel rushed, the lady took her time and even gave me some tips. They also have a punch card (after 6 punches you get free eyebrow threading/waxing) that's definitely perfect for driving repeat business! Best place for eyebrow threading and also for waxing. I wish I didn't move away cause this place used to be 2 mins away from my moms house in the suburbs! Pinky is the best at what she does, I had her do all my threading and waxing before my wedding in 2017 and was so pleased. She also gives really great facials. Her mom is also a sweetheart, a little but more painful when getting waxing with her but she's great with the thread. They give you punch cards and they usually have a deal going monthly for one of their services. I want to try their lash lift/tint next time I'm there!!
