Sullivan was the first stop of our winery retreat. First impression, love the art works and their personal touch to the wine labels as family members created the label that represents a significant story. Great family touch and contribution to its business. The wine tasting experience was enjoyable and pleasant, we enjoy the Cab. Each of the tastes were served slowly as stories were told about the creation of their taste. Sean managed two parties at a time with his personal touch, we did not felt we were left out.

At only 4,000 cases a year, this boutique winery hardly attracts the attention that its larger neighbors do, but thank goodness - what's left is a serene experience to enjoy some of the best wine in the area. Try the Coeur de Vigne or their Estate Cabernet Sauignon - spectacular. Join their wine club to attend intimate, private events, and the owners open up their library wines and their home to their guests. What a fabulous winery!

My cousins are members here and they recently brought us along for a tasting. Although the wine was excellent, I'm no expert so I won't pretend to be. The tasting included a pretty strong pour of the 5 wines on the tasting menu, which consisted of 2 whites, 3 reds. 1) Sauvignon blanc 2) Chardonnay 3) red blend 4) Cabernet Sauvignon 5) second red blend The service was quite wonderful! We were seated by one of the owners, and the other owner came to our table and some to us about the history of the property, as her family has owned the land for many years. The property itself was absolutely beautiful. Lush, green grass, budding flowers, birds and butterflies fluttering about, cool breeze through the trees.... It was a lovely experience. They apparently host several events throughout the summer with food, music, games, and plenty of wine. We would love to come out for one of these events next summer! We will most definitely be back!

Sullivan Vineyards was the first stop of the three recommendations we had that day (at least for wineries). We parked and then started to run--wait where are we running to? An employee was walking by and saw us (probably took pity on us since we were drenched) and led us to the warm and inviting tasting room. Morgan (I sure hope that's his name 'cause otherwise it'd be quite embarrassing) asked if we had an appointment....but we didn't. He shrugged it off and led us closer to the warmth and got us ready for our tasting. By then, my tummy had started doing jumping jacks so I asked to just share my flight with the Boy. I kind of wish I didn't. The chardonnay was ridiculously good. Boy doesn't usually like whites but he took an immediate liking to this one. I also liked the Red Ink (we purchased both). The other wines were delicious as well but nothing stood out like those two. I am blanking on the flight fee since we bought bottles but for THAT kind of wine; totally worth it. As the Boy was forking over the dough for the wine....APOLLO came out. This dog was cute and could sell me wine anyday. He greeted me the only way dogs do--by sniffing your butt. He was wet and soggy from the rain but oh so friendly. He looked like he was going to follow us to the next winery but Morgan just explained that he has the run of the place and goes wherever he pleases. Say hello to Apollo if you ever happen here (and you should) and drink the chardonnay! Morgan is awesome too!

I am a white wine connoisseur because of my dietary restrictions with most ingredients in red wines, especially cherries and plum, that trigger my stomach pain and headaches. I have missed enjoying red wine because of this. I was hoping and praying that when my friends who are members of PEJU planned this wine tasting treat, that my stomach and head would be fine and to my surprise, my palate, tongue, stomach and heart were pleased with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Fifty/Fifty, and more, including reserve reds Todd served and educated us about! I have NEVER enjoyed red wines like these I tasted at PEJU. Since the time of our outstanding wine tasting experience, I have recommended and raved about Todd and PEJU winery to friends and family who appreciate and value high quality wines and winery experiences. It felt like a vacation getaway being in the tasting room building, admiring the breathtaking stained glass art, all of the art inside and the beautiful art and nature views outside. I appreciate the PEJU staff and management team who welcomed us and were kind to us all the way to the end of our wine tasting experience when we left. This is the kind of treatment that makes us want to return. Napa is a special place for friends, family, and me, and PEJU is now an indelible memory in my Napa adventures! Todd clearly enjoys his important professional position, is passionate about wine and the wine experience, and brings so much joy to customers! I can't recommend him and PEJU enough! Todd went above and beyond to give us a VIP experience and even gave me a bag full of wine corks for my art project after I told him about this and asked for some of their wine corks we saw lined up in their wine uncorking and pouring area. Thank you, Todd!

The grounds are gorgeous inside and out, and I really enjoyed the stained glass, large open windows, and the statues and the koi pond area outside. The service was extraordinary, and I had a great time learning a bit about the different wines PEJU offers from Joseph. I tried quite a few different wines, and really liked how there are a few unique offerings here that you can't find elsewhere - I ended up getting a bottle of their Province, the Farm, and their late harvest orange muscat. PEJU is also one of the few wineries with a permit to serve food. If I had known ahead of time, I would've planned to eat here! The rilettes were super tempting, but Joseph advised that if I was planning to eat a meal afterward to stick to the chips and dip - this ended up being quite a generous portion as well, and I really enjoyed the goat cheese truffle dip alongside the wine tasting :) Overall, PEJU is definitely a beautiful winery to visit with excellent service, and I'll definitely be back!

I appreciate that management took the feedback seriously and addressed the issue with their team. The ribs were outstanding--tender, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The cheese plate was also thoughtfully curated and well executed, showcasing great local selections and presentation. Unfortunately, the overall experience was negatively impacted by the service. Our interaction with our server Chris N. left much to be desired, as the service felt inattentive and unwelcoming throughout the meal. Great restaurants are about more than just great food, and hospitality plays a major role in the experience. One additional observation: the overly curated "hipster" attitude and vibe felt dated and out of touch. The food stands on its own merits and doesn't need the accompanying pretension. Guests today are looking for authentic hospitality, not an image. Farmstead clearly has talented chefs and a strong menu and the fried chicken Tuesday is great, but improvements in service and guest experience would go a long way toward making it a destination worthy of its reputation.

Easy to find, beautiful from the road in, and exactly what you picture when you think Napa. The whites and reds are all worth trying. Each one tastes distinct, and the flagship bottles run $44 to $125, so not cheap, but fair for wines this good. Membership is the real draw. Members get full tastings plus a food menu for themselves and two guests, which we lean on every time we pick up wine. The grounds are stunning. Plenty of tables across the property, including quiet, secluded spots for a real conversation. The member experience runs about 1.5 hours, which is plenty. The food held up too. Tomato arancini with basil aioli, bruschetta, roasted olives, marcona almonds, hummus with crispy pita, sourdough with oil and balsamic. The arancini was the best bite of the spread, crisp outside, creamy in the middle, with the basil aioli pulling it together. Staff have been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful on every visit. A few notes: tastings cap around 6 to 8 per party, specialty experiences like the Cambium vertical are discounted for members rather than free, and your membership carries over to their sister property, St. Francis in Sonoma.
