I came in for the early bird special (7:00am) on a Thursday. Every chair was filled, I signed in and was next. I waited about 15 minutes. I gave my barber a rough idea of what I wanted and he confidently said "I got you". About 30 minutes later I received a clean, fresh, and tight cut. The shop is clean and inviting. Don't come here if you're not able to wait. A long time... from 6am to 8am they have their early bird special when haircuts are half price. It gets packed. And they allow people to call in and put their name on the board. So if you walk in and there's only 2 or 3 people waiting, the board may have 10 names on it. If they walk in after you they'll get called before you if their mane is on the board. And the list gets messed up. One time I waited an hour and a half and was next, a guy walks in and signs on the top of the second column (I was next on the bottom of the first column) the barber calls the wrong name. Let me start off by saying, I was born and raised in Mesa,AZ. 1975. I've been coming to Sully's for many,many years. Now, I appreciate the hours of business that Sully's keeps. Very convenient. Unfortunately, I have been battling cancer since August 2019. I recently had surgery to remove some of the tumor(possibly all was removed). I am sti healing,leg brace,etc I showed up to the barbershop at 01/20/20 @ 1030pm. Feeling tired,but was in need of a haircut,as I dont recall when my last one was. (I just spent 2 weeks in thehospital,so it wasnt an option at the time I was in there.)An elderly gentleman barber had just come in from outside a d asked if was ready. I limp to the chair,sit tell him what I want,he then gave me a hard time about the amount to cut off. He said half,I say no. Let's start with a 1/4". He tells me no! What do I want. I tell him I have never had this much trouble getting a haircut here before. He said theres no trouble. As a matter of fact,why dont u let someone else cut your hair. I said yes, because I now was not confident in his ability to cut hair. The time is now 11:13 pm and I am sitting in an awkward position(due to my leg brace) still waiting to have my hair cut. I truly do not know what type of customer service this is! And it upsets me because I have always depended on Sully's for great service,and a clean haircut. I will gladly change my rating once the gentleman is educated on customer service,and I receive an apology. I would never treat a customer like that,especially one who is visibly handicapped. read more

This is my first time coming back to this barbershop in over 2 or 3 years. When I used to come, it was full of barbers who cared about how you looked and cared about their work! Literally any chair you jumped into you were guaranteed to walk out with a good cut. Anyways my Lil bro needed a cut, my new spot was closed so I brought him here. I called ahead like I used to and as soon as we walked in he was in a chair. The first thing I noticed is that I didn't recognize one face. Mind you I haven't been here in over 3 years, but the barbers who used to work here had been in the same spot for many moons so one would assume they were never leaving! Anyways no familiar faces is what I first noticed. Secondly, it looked like most of the people who were cuting had just gotten out of high school! Im not saying a youngin can't cut hair, but it looked like these cats were still barber school students. If you have ever been yo a barber school were students cut hair and the teacher over looks them, that is exactly what I was reminded of when I sat down. Young cats cutting and an older, more experienced barber was in the last chair constantly looking over his shoulder as to make sure they weren't messing up. Third thing I noticed was price. This is a cash only place. The guys are nice and friendly. They give out pretty good hair cuts. The only draw back is the wait. It can get pretty busy late at night since they are the only open late barber shop around town. The wait can also be prolonged due to one or two barbers who still need training from the shop owner. My favorite barbershop in the Easy Valley by far. I went it on a Sunday, and it seemed really busy. Luckily, I only ended up waiting about 15 minutes. Ozzy cut my hair and did an excellent job. He did a taper on the sides, comb over on top, and shaped my beard. He was very detailed, took his time, and took my feedback. I will definitely be returning. This place is one of the anchors of the Fiesta District. It doesn't matter what you believe or look like, the guys at Sully's treat everyone with respect and provide excellent cuts. This isn't a haircut mill like the joints with "super" or "great" in their name. You will wait a bit longer than those guys but the time spent to make sure that your is PERFECT will be worth it. Pretty much every time I am in they have 4 barbers working hard. They are open from 7am to 11pm. This time I am in with my son. I don't understand how a barber can be this bad at cutting hair, real talk. It is literally what you do all day everyday... African American female barber with shoulder length braids now has forever put a bad taste in my mouth for female barbers(no disrespect). Not only did she rush, the line on the fade is clearly visible around the entire head, line up crooked as well as taken so much further back then I've ever had it. Ever. I mean c'mon you give fades for a living, if this is how you want to be represented then you need to rethink careers. Now, my beard... Is no longer a beard now, she took it down to a chin strap almost and then used scissors to trim it down, no clean up on face and the neck line has serious long hairs throughout. Now I'm not one to put someone on blast in front of the whole shop, and I feel reguardless everyone deserves a tip, that's their living, but I mean c'mon woman, Show some fucking pride in your work, or at the very least, do the right fucking thing and make sure the haircut you just gave is something you'd be satisfied with if that was you in the chair, that simple. read more

If there was an option for zero I'd give that. Went here one time to get a fade and glad to say I'll never go again. First off my fade was uneven. Second the barber couldn't even hold a conversation. And third when the barber was done he gave me a mirror to look at his work and I noticed my hair wasn't lined up like the edges. I said can you line me up? He said yea I guess, should have said something before I started. I then replied what haircut or hairstyle doesn't come with a line up? So you just leave all your customers with fucked up edges... so he didn't reply and lined me up. Then when we went to the register, he said 30 something dollars. So obviously he was trying to charge me for the line up on his own haircut. I paid it cause money wasn't the issue, but if you can't act like a normal barber then I suggest you look into another profession. Or if this is how the place runs maybe new management would do better. Either way I'd rather go to great clips since they don't have to be told to finish their haircuts. read more

I go here all the time and know it's busy. I especially went here because of how cool they are about giving teachers discounts. This particular day I went there and was broke as hell trying to look nice because first day of school is tomorrow. Teachers don't get paid until a week or two into school. They always charge me ten bucks when I bring my teachers badge and I always make sure I have a little extra so I can tip. I wait 3 HRS for a cut and finally was able to finally get one. The person who cut my hair had just gotten there and I could already tell she was extremely annoyed that she had to be at work or something. All day they were telling customers cuts were $16. So it finally comes time for me to pay and she tells me $16. I was like okay cool I brought my badge with me do you guys still give discounts to teachers and she was hesitant to say yes and finally was like yeah it's $16. She straight up lied to me cause everyone there was paying $16. She was like usually it's $18 and with the discount it's $2. Don't advertise a discount if you're not gonna give it. I was loyal to this place but damn the long wait and disrespect is going to have me looking elsewhere. I was patient enough to wait and never complained. I even brought $15 so I could give a $5 tip. Luckily I had an extra dollar in my wallet and was able to pay the full amount. She even had the nerve to be pissed cause I didn't tip. How was I suppose to know you guys were gonna switch it up on me?? I always went here also because a 5th grader in my class was so happy when he went there and found out he could recommend me a discount. I've been coming here for a while now. All the staff are very down to earth and very friendly. Overall its a great little spot with great hours of operation. The ONLY complaint I have is that music got changed and it seemed to kill the vibe and character the shop used to have. I'm not sure what they've been playing lately but the new station kinda makes it awkward now. They had such a great vibe and character back when they played 104.3. I know it sounds dumb and I'm not affiliated with the station if that's what you're thinking. However I do work in the music industry and now I know how important vibe can be if you want your clients to return on a regular basis. This has got to be the slowest barbershop I've ever been to. I've tried going multiple times anywhere from 6am when they open to 9pm and it's never less than a 2 hour wait. I see probably one in three people walk out when they see the wait. They're busy, but the wait is more caused by the slow barbers that spend 2 minutes talking for every 15 seconds of cutting. I've probably been there 6 times and gotten one cut. I walk after an hour or so when I realize I have AT LEAST another hour to wait. I don't have all day for something as trivial as a haircut. Hey sully I just wanted to let you know that I went into the shop yesterday had my haircut done by a guy named Kevin he charged me 19 dollars for my haircut and he insisted on doing my beard I even told him not to do it he did it anyways and charged me 19 dollars on top of that he messed it up real bad parts of my hair is shorter just horrible everyone stay away from that guy Kevin really unprofessional I been coming here for long time second time this happens. I took my 4 year old son Monday morning the employees were really nice, I didn't get the barbers name who did my sons hair. He was really patient with him, kept talking to him the whole time to make sure he wasn't moving around, and even put some cartoons on for him. I will definitely be going back to this shop.
