Truthfully, I really just wanted to see what that would entail because it seemed a little disgusting or maybe even some kind of high-food, but to my surprise, it was actually a really crispy skinned pizza roll. I'm pretty sure it had been previously frozen, but in that moment- served with a side of marinara, I didn't really care. It was full of gooey melted mozzarella cheese and almost like a breaded chicken nugget center. Pretty decent as far as bar food goes. They also had crab rangoon to which I thought, "hmm are they doing a little too much?!" I'm sure drunk me would have gotten them years ago so what can ya do. Overall, quite a positive experience. The bartender was really sweet and everything wasn't super expensive. I've been in the neighborhood for such a long time, but I've actually never been here and I'm glad I came on a night that it wasn't chaotic.

The amount of tuna was negligible (to say the least) on top of the stale tortilla chips and the bottom of the plate was doused with sriracha. I cannot believe someone approved this to be on a restaurant menu. I feel scammed

i discovered this place through friends a few years back - and it's been in my line-up of favorite Chicago watering holes ever since. Sully's House is a great little oasis amidst the congestion of North/Clybourn. Sullys brings real "neighborhood charm" to an area that many hadn't realized was a neighborhood at all. It's a sports bar, but it's got a lot more character than what typically passes for a sports bar in this town. Whether you're watching a playoff game with friends (the way I first discovered Sully's) or grabbing a burger on a Saturday afternoon. I'm kind of a burger junkie, and my go-to is usually the Lamb Burger (hmmm....lamb), but everything else I've tried was tasty too. No "posers" here -the staff always has a smile for you. I also like the variety of seating options. Depending on your mood - and whom you're with - you can choose a traditional tavern setting in the front of the house, assemble your whole crew in the back room, takeover the second floor for your own private party or just watch the world pass by out on the patio. Oh,....also...there's also a sweeeeeeet rooftop deck with different grouping of couches/lounges if you want to catch some rays, or gaze at the stars. Love, love, love this place. Ok...Follow up to my scathing review of a few months ago. Much improved I must say. I was heading out with a friend to catch the Bears Packers game. My friend suggested it for the convenient location between our homes. I wouldn't have sought this place out....BUT, I must say much improved!! The place was doing a swift business for Monday and the customer turns were pretty high. The service was remarkably attentive and a team of help was serving and clearing the table with beers and food, despite a REALLY good game on the TV!! Beer specials were great. $3 - $5 for domestic and unique imports. The food quality was better, still pub grub, but it was tasty. Portions were up to par and this is another improvement over the last visit. Just wanting to give a little credit where it's due and say the place has really made strides.....And no.....they didn't charge for the water!!! read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to go after work because it was on the way home, they had a good beer selection and drink specials, and not to mention we loved the staff!! However, after being out of town for a while, I went in for my after work drink and the server (who I was not familiar with) couldn't figure out if they sold my favorite beer, even though I had ordered it several times before! Turns out they stopped carrying it. Then the bartender/manager/overly talkative guy behind the bar told us they cleaned house and hired all new staff. Then the burger I ordered didn't taste anything like it used to! I'm not usually one to take time out of my day to write a review, but I'm realy disappointed that my favorite happy hour spot has lost it's appeal. My advice to the owner would be that change is not always a good thing. read more

This Place is Sweet. Great neighborhood bar feel, decent brews on tap, and solid bartenders (Dan & Steph). The bar back Andy lightens the place up with his fun attitude as well. Food wise: The wings are legit and the Sully Sticks (with that Dank ranch sauce) are MUST haves. The Rooftop is great for soaking some sun, and the bar is loaded with Flatscreens. Even the bathroom stalls are nice and cozy. Check it out if you are in the North/ Clybourn area. read more

Better food than you'd expect at a neighborhood bar. The pizza is surprisingly good, and especially on Wednesday's when it is only $5 (best $5 pizza in the city, imo). The chips are also very good. Staff is always nice and enough beers on tap to find something you're into. read more

Good wraps, and good pizza. Friendly neighbor bar in Lincoln Park. They have a number of TV's for sports and a good outdoor seating area which is good for having lunch on a nice day. Not my scene on the weekends but it's a pretty decent all around place. read more

For our charcuterie board, they have you choose a minimum of three (cheese or meat) for $8 each, then everything else on the board is complimentary. It came with bread, pickles, grapes, jam, mustard, and nuts. We chose the red rock (a blue cheddar cheese) and purple haze (soft goat cheese), plus the wagyu pastrami (I liked this a lot). The burger was alright to me. The fries were really good. I would come back just for the drinks because they were delicious!

My only real beef is with the pricing. I'm by no means cheap but I find it crazy spending $12 or 13 for a vodka soda when I can go across the street to Hook and Ladder or Halligans and pay half the price. Hopefully this place will figure things out because it has the potential to be a good place. I'm really wanting to like this place but there are too many nagging problems with it for now. Tripoli also does a great job with their service. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and kind. Not just that, but food and drinks come out within a reasonable time, even when the place is packed with fans. Now... the NBA playoffs are done, and I straight-up don't understand baseball. Thus, as soon as something not-baseball is done, you can be sure to find my in here at some point for a weekend game.
