In an area that houses such obnoxious places as Joe's on Weed Street, Sully's is definitely a hidden gem. It's located kind of off the beaten path, but it's right around the corner from where I work... And I have definitely fallen in love. The beer selection is considerable and full of odd and interesting choices, and the food is the bomb as far as bar fare is concerned. Wonderful wait staff, with a great, friendly and congenial crowd. Sully's creates a cozy atomsphere while retaining a certain amount of class and sophistication. I always have an enjoyable time in Sully's, whether it's chatting with Erin Bell duriing my lunches or hanging with Zach and listening to his on-point music selection in the evenings. The drinks and food are reasonably priced for the area, and, quite frankly, Erin is cute enough to endure just about any price. I would (and do) recommend this place to anyone asking. read more

I went here last night with a friend to watch the game and the place was packed. I was hoping to get something to eat but there was barely any standing room yet alone a table to sit. We were considering leaving but a very nice man allowed us to go upstairs until their private party arrived. We were able to sit down and have some great food and drinks. Our server was very friendly and accommodating especially considering he was kind enough to go downstairs to the madhouse and close out our tab to transfer upstairs. My husband and I live right next door to Sully's and will go there occasionally to have some drinks with friends or for some appetizers. For bar food, the apps are actually very tasty! They main bartender who is there often is super nice and has great drink suggestions. This is a great place if you're going with your co-workers for a happy hour and want to hang out on the roof with the tiki torches and some music. I've heard that the beer prices are more expensive than expected but they have some pretty good beer bucket deals. read more

I went here on a Thursday night for drinks before a movie, and it was a really nice little bar! I didn't have any idea what I wanted to drink so I asked the bartender and he gave me two samples of his favorite beers and I really liked them both. It wasn't very crowded but the vibe from the other patrons was very friendly, there was football on tv, and everyone was very relaxed. I didn't try any food but the service was excellent and I would definitely come here again! I have been coming to Sully's since they opened, either for a quick meal with my daughter, to have a beer with guys or to catch a game on one of their many TV's. The beer selection is great and I appreciate that the knowledgeable bartenders can always suggest something different because they often have new additions, seasonal and otherwise. The food is a step above most bar food, especially the pizza, the burgers and the tater tots! Sure the menu could be more diverse, but it's a bar! The bar itself is comfortable and clean and the upstairs is a great place for private parties. Sully's also has a great patio where you'll find me when the weather warms up. read more

I've been here since inception and am known. The owners are nice if you spend everything you have and the bartenders yell if you tip 17%. Common, they're just handing over beers. I joined yelp just to rate this place. I tip 16 on 95 and I'm a piriah. I have never in my 12 years of going out invoked racial discrimination. I feel there is a slight bias here. Diversity no need apply. Screw that. There's better and nicer in Chicago. Steer clear. You're better off at Joe's on weed st. Enough said! read more

Sully's is an awesome summer spot because they have an outdoor upstairs deck that is just perfect for a mid summer night or for groups/teams to hang out. For the past couple of summers I would go there with my kickball team after games and we'd get great fast service and the truth is the food is actually pretty awesome for a bar. A bit off the beaten path, but I had a great steak burger for lunch! Staff was friendly and attentive during my business lunch. My group and I split the Black and Bleu Buffalo Mozz Sticks and they were great! Clean bathrooms are always a good sign of a well-run operation. It shows that they care about their patrons. I went to Sully's to watch the NFC Championship game and had been emailing the manager, Scott, the week beforehand to secure a table for the day. On Friday, I emailed him to let him know that I had a confirmed number of 20 guests and he sent me an email back saying "You are confirmed. You will be upstairs". When I got to the bar, only one table with 10 chairs had a reserved sign with my name and the number 20 on it. I spoke to the server who then spoke to the manager who claimed that I had only made a reservation for 12 people. Even if that was the case, which it wasn't, there were still only 10 chairs at the table and my reserved sign said 20 PEOPLE on it. I even showed the server the confirmation email he had sent me and she said she would speak to him again but he didn't even take the time to meet with me and apologize for the situation. On top of that, the server said she was "pretty sure" another group had taken one of my tables and took the reserved sign off of it. If this is what happened, I'm not sure why none of the employees there stopped them from doing this. What a HUGE inconvenience for my group. Also, our server had no idea what the specials were for the day and said she didn't think there were any. It was a truly disappointing experience and it was the WORST service I've ever encountered. I would NEVER go back and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

First and foremost, TATER TOT heaven!! Sully's is a nice break in the area from the usual places trying to be a scene. This is a laid back spacious bar with outdoor seating for summer. There is a large upstairs, if you have a private group, that works out well. The food is large portions and can be shared. During the week, it can be a bit understaffed. The bartender can do double duty of waiting on both tables and behind the bar. It is usually a good idea to grab a beer on your way out if you are sitting outside with friends to cut down on wait time. The beer list has a pretty good variety, including gumball head by Three Floyds and Lucky Hat. The staff is helpful. The bartender had forgotten and overcharged me for a Guiness I ordered then remembered it was the special of the week and found me at the outside table and brought my two dollars back. A Guiness for $3.50 isn't bad! If you are in the area, stop by, relax and stay awhile. read more

This bar is awful. So I can understand that the crowd was a little obnoxious that night because UFC was the entertainment of choice. This is totally not the bar's fault. I can deal with it. What I cannot deal with is awful service and 12 oz. plastic cups. My friend ordered an appetizer that never came, we had to go up to the bar multiple times to order our own beers because the waitress hardly ever came around and we had to ask for our check twice. Then they had the nerve to add gratuity (we did not leave the full amount, thank you). But the most inexcusable part of the whole evening was the fact that, despite offering a pretty decent beer selection, they serve it to you in plastic cups. And not 16oz cups, 12 oz cups (it was printed on the bottom of the cup, we checked). When I order a draft microbrew, I expect a pint in a glass. I will not be going back. read more

Had an engagement party of approx. 65 people Saturday nite. Had upstairs and outside area reserved---PHENOMENAL!!--Isaac and Jen and the help were absolutely great.! Everyone stated they loved the food, service and whole party , period! A lot of us are from Orland Park area and came out and were all pleasantly surprised with everything! Isaac and Jen bent over backwards to make sure everyone was happy!! The outdoor rooftop section was awesome--thanks to the nice weather also. I walked in with my friend today to get lunch. We were the only people there and we sat at the bar. I was excited to try a new place out in the neighborhood, then I met the bartender. She hated us immediately and I found her attitude to be quite unwarranted. We were quiet, respectable, reasonable, and gracious towards her and she decided to treat us like second rate human beings. On top of the unnecessary treatment she was drinking on the job at the ripe hour of 3pm. Never coming back here again. I take pride in my ability to be kind and courteous. Wow, what can i say about Sully's? First off, the food is never the same. I work down the street and have given sullys my fare share of attempts to excite me but they always fail. The service is horrible, unless you go for friday lunch seems to be the only day that they have the same waitress who knows what shes doing. I went at night about two weeks ago and the bartender kept butting in on my conversation with my girlfriend and although he thought he was being helpful and friendly he was actually being creepy and annoying. I guess the only good thing I can say (besides that I would have rather had my bus boy serve me then the bartender) would be that the beer list is pretty decent, but you can still find better. read more

Went to Sully's House for a group event and they were kind enought to put us in a party room upstairs.. The people downstairs met me as soon as I walked in and directed me where I needed to go. We were given a bartender and a busser and a full bar to get drinks from. I was able to open a tab and pay at the end which is always nice and easy. Erin was the bartender and she happily took orders throughout the night. I tried the buffalo wings which came quickly and were served hot. You can order wings by the number so you can really fine tune it to your hunger level. At no time did we feel rushed or unwelcome. I took the bus and it worked out perfect from my Lakeview location taking the Halsted bus puts you practically at the front door. I'm not sure how good street parking is. I'm not familiar with the area or the competition in this area, but I'm glad my group chose Sully's House and hope I get a chance to go there again. read more
