My daughter goes to college in Oxford Ohio and there's a place there called bagel and deli. Every time we move her in or out of school working out for a visit we always stop at bagel and deli for their steamed bagels. Now flash Forward to hunting for a grad school and we happened upon this lovely town called Clemson. In many ways it mirrors Oxford and size scope feel and bubble. On day two we decided to stop in Sully's steamers because of the away reminded me of bagel and deli. Turns out the owner went to Miami and one of his favorite places to eat with bagel and deli. The sandwiches are almost identical save for they came not only wrapped in oil but a to-go box as well. The entire place was steamy and humid that bagels were perfect and my breakfast sandwich with flawless. While they don't have a competition to eat everything in the menu board like bagel and deli I would probably make my own competition. I really hope my daughter chooses Clemson cuz I want to come to this place more often! read more

I've walked by this venue at least twice a day when I visit Clemson to work with faculty and staff. I've been meaning to patronize the joint as they also support and team with the Clemson LIFE students! Sully's Steamer's motto onsite: "The best sandwich you never expected", and the website: "A hot mess", are both spot on. While you may need 10 napkins (or if you have young children, bust out the baby wipes), I highly recommend stopping by; the flavors are delightful. I don't want to Sully the name of Sully's with a bad review, so if you're feeling a little Sullen, come to Sully's, because all you have to do is say the word "Sully's" and you'll find something delicious to eat, although sometimes, Sully seems to be the hardest word. I actually thought it was delicious, unique, made with a lot of love. Not the kind of food that I would usually eat, but still a lot better than going hungry, or going to one of the many typical fast food outlets around Clemson, like Jimmy John's next door. Full of stunning Clemson girls (all Clemson girls are stunning) and with a very very friendly crew. Free Wifi, good bathrooms, and open extremely late at night. It's really impossible not to fall in love with Sully's. Prices are not too bad either, portions are hefty. I mean, Dr Quinn Medicine Woman aka Jane Solitaire Seymour once did, and so did some movie-goers when Tom Hanks decided to pretend to land a plane on the Hudson River, something we've all done in a dream once or twice, wouldn't you say? The best time to try new places is when the Clemson students are on break. The oldest son and his wife and their two kiddos were visiting and we decided to try out Sully's. The son and grandsons had eaten here before and were excited to return. It was my first time. Because the students were on break, parking was not an issue. We were the only ones there at 9:00 on a Monday morning. Menu is on a large chalkboard. Large selection of breakfast or lunch bagels. Each of us ordered a different bagel. I had the SMOKED SALMON BREAKFAST BAGEL (Smoked Salmon, Chive Cream Cheese, Capers & Red Onion) on an Everything Bagel. It was yummy! Staff was friendly. We got our orders fairly quickly. Simple setting with picturesque windows looking out over College Avenue. Everyone really enjoyed it. Definitely will go back again. read more

I wasn't sure exactly what a steamed bagel was ahead but it doesn't taste like a normal bagel. It's a cool concept. I ordered ahead and got a steamed bagel with egg and cheese. It's not bad and the service was great but I just don't love a steamed bagel as much as a normal bagel. It's sofrer and tastes more like the flavor and consistency of a white bread than a bagel. The restaurant and bathrooms were plenty clean and staff was friendly. I think it's still worth trying something different- the lower rating is due to my personal taste preferences. read more

Really torn on this one. The food was actually quite good. The service was awful. We had a Philly and a Griswold. Both were quite tasty. The menu is quite extensive with lots of options. My issue with the service is quite straightforward - when our food was served, the employee literally threw the food on the table. While touring Clemson with my Junior daughter it was time for a drink after a few miles on our feet, so we popped in to see if they offered bottled drinks, As it so happened a variety of bottled and can drinks are up front. So, hubby and I stopped by on our way through Clemson, and, at 5:30 on a snowy eve, found Sully's to be one of the few places open ... till 6:00. Well, we hustled on over to find a very nice man (the owner) at the counter, who took our order and got it right. Thank you, sir. I mean, I just don't have words for how much I love Sully's Steamers. Our love affair started in Greenville, SC and I was so pumped when I saw this Clemson location while we were in town. If you've never had a steamed bagel, don't be scared! I was kind of iffy about it at first because I usually love my bagels toasted and crispy on the outside. The way that the steamed bagel brings together the melty cheese and juicy meats on the inside is just truly incredible. I have tasted 3 different bagels from Sully's and I always find myself going back to the Hulk. It is by far my favorite. I really want to try the bagel with Doritos on it next time. The downtown Clemson strip is the cutest little street by day with bumping nightlife by night. There are several coffee shops, restaurants and boutique shops to browse. Definitely plan to spend some time downtown if you're there. I love Sully's! read more

We just happened to stumble across this place driving down the road looking for places open during the COVID pandemic, and we were glad we did! Wife and I both had the Hulk on a plain bagel and they were hot and fresh tasting and really hit the spot. Limited seating inside so I'd imagine it gets crowded during the school year but it's a great place to get a tasty meal on the go. I wish I had it closer so I could try multiple things. Coming home from a late night Clemson game, this place hit the spot! I had a Special K bagel and it was so good. (It's ham and cheese) Having a bagel steamed was something different, but it honestly tasted better with the melty cheese and the warm bread and ham. It was good energy in there and everyone was having a good time. The bagels don't take long to come out and there's plenty of seats to sit at. The prices aren't too high because the bagels are pretty filling. If you go at night (especially after a game!) expect a crowed, but it's usually not that busy. read more

Super convenient location in downtown Clemson and within walking distance of campus! The menu is extensive, with a lot of different bagel sandwich options. I've had Sully's once when visiting Greenville and I am so glad they opened one up in Clemson! I have visited Sully's before in other cities so this was my first time at the one in Clemson. I ordered the Nacho Maximus and my life has been changed since. I can't quite remember everything on the sandwich but I do remember it had Doritos. I had never seen such a crossover before that worked out so beautifully.
