Went in for two bagels. After I ordered I asked to make sure they would be toasted. Woman behind the register was rude and acted like I killed her kitten or something, but she added it, so I thought. Witnessed one of the kitchen staff out front smoking, came back in and started handling food without washing her hands. That's a health violation. In the end the bagels were NOT toasted and we tossed them. If I wanted to be treated like crap for poorly managed food and still not get what I wanted, I'd call my ex-wife. I can't believe it's taken me this long to go here!? Got an everything bagel, bacon egg cheese and it's *chefs kiss*. The bagel has the perfect amount of everything seasoning, where it's not so lethal that I'm going to offend someone a mile away when I speak. I've had the hankering for weeks now.... A northeastern sesame bagel double toasted with lox spread... I woke today up with the hankering strong, but did try to sleep, but 2 hours later I was out the door for a "real" bagel. I ordered one double toasted with plain cc, a second sesame double toasted with lox spread. I said my order twice. I got no toasting on either bagel, they were soggy with the soft cream cheese and no lox spread, but actual lox. They suuuuuucked. The dog was ok with them though. In all fairness, I'd been there right after it was open and my order was ok, I just didn't like the blaring Fox News. My wife and I tried Jersey Bagel Brothers while on vacation in Greenville. The bagels were the real deal: chewy and crunchy in the right proportion. We both had plain Bagels with plain Cream Cheese and Nova Lox and red onions. She also had the capers but I did not (this is one of my food quirks: I can't stand capers on anything). I also had a Bialy with onions and poppy seeds. The Bagels and Bialy were delicious. Greenville is fortunate to have "real bagels and bialys" not just the facsimiles offered by the chain restaurants like Panera Bread Company or Bruggers. Jersey Bagel Brothers is a family owned business that is operated by family members. The pride in what they do is obvious in the quality of the products that they sell. The food was good, but the service was not. The woman taking orders at the front was very snappy and impatient. There was nobody behind us in line, yet she let out a sigh when we asked for a second to figure out what we wanted. She argued with me whether or not I asked for my bagel toasted, instead of just changing the order. I will not be returning because the service ruined my experience. This place probably has the best bagels in town. Forget about Panera and other large chains, these are fresh baked and delicious. Lots of different types of bagels, we tried the cheese, plain, and garlic - all of them were amazing. There is a small seating area and they serve drinks and coffee as well, which we did not try. Last night I told my mom let's go get some bagels in the morning! So we got up and made sure we were there early enough to get what we wanted! I had no idea how I would have been treated this morning! The lady that took my order was very rude to me! I couldn't believe how I was treated!!! I told her I wanted a dozen of poppy seed bagels, a dozen of cinnamon raisin bagels and half a dozen of plain bagels! She said for future reference could you call and order them. We just decided last night to go get some! I was willing to pay for the bagels so I didn't think it was a big deal to go and get bagels! I also ordered cinnamon cream cheese which was very yummy! And they did give me strawberry cream cheese which was nice of them but maybe it was to make up for the treatment I received! It was very hot inside which I felt bad for them but my nobody should be treated like this for ordering something that you were willing to pay for! When I got to the car I seen they gave me sesame seed bagels so I had to go back in! The other lady was nicer and gave me my cinnamon raisin bagel that I ordered! If you want to get treated like a piece of crap first thing in the morning this is the place to go too!!! The bagels are delicious but the treatment you receive it's not worth going here! Went here this morning bc my gf was craving bagels and I've never tried this place but she has so she wanted to go here. So these guys are really from Jersey and they all have the Jersey accent which I think is cool and I loved the banter and comfortability they had around each other. My gf got a bacon, egg and cheese on everything bagel and hers was good but a little burnt on some parts. Both were good, bc I tried them both lol.
