I am so impressed with Jessica and Abella Tax Services! One of my friends recommended Jessica to me, when I was starting up my business and had all these tax questions. Before finding out about Jessica, I called up all these other tax agencies and spoke with people that didn't sound like they really knew what they were talking about and many times gave me conflicting information. When I spoke with Jessica, she was able to give me good answers to my questions that I was able to understand, and also gave me great suggestions for my business! I called her probably about 3 times during those first few weeks, and was worried she would get annoyed with my questions, but she never did and always seemeed happy to hear from me. She helped me out with my state taxes, which literally, took maybe 2 minutes to complete. Wow! Talk about fast in-and-out service. I was also really impressed with how neat and clean her office was, and how she could pull up answers to question in minutes either on her computer or in some manuals she had. That last tax professional I saw about 10 years ago, had paperwork splattered everywhere, and had clients constantly going in & out of a very tiny office, where everyone could hear your personal information. I was so horrified by that experience & the fact that person bungled up my taxes, that it took me 10 years to go see another tax professional. I had some complicated taxes to be done, which 50% were done really well, but I had 50% i had to elevate to the owner because the tax accountant assigned missed and forgot to add and complete important tax deductions. I hired them to help us and know more than we do, but in the end I had to screen and edit the inputs. Really bad bad experience with Abella. After using a great accountant we realized how poor our service was. They missed filling dates and caused penalties. They paid the penalties but it flagged us with the state so we had to pay qtrly. Communication was rude and almost non-existent once they were called out. I had a question about my B&O Wa tax return ... and Jessica fit me in the very next day (a Saturday.) Her emails were prompt and courteous, and she was the same in person. She walked me through the online tax return in a few minutes. I got home and finished it up in about two minutes more. This saved me a ton of time ... the letter from Wa dept of Revenue was over three pages long -- I would have spent an hour or two squinting at the fine print on my own, but Jessica cleared it up right away. We found ATS through Yelp. Their services are professional, and they are so organized. Once we made an appointment (easy to use appointment system on their website, easy to cancel too), you are personally emailed what documents you will need and how to prepare for the appointment. The accountant is prepared and ready when you arrive, not scrambling around and trying to remember details about your situation. After the appointment, we received a packet of documents in the mail for us to sign, all organized and labeled, along with pre-addressed envelopes (thank you because the IRS has many different addresses depending on the document!) for us to send out with our payments.
