Amber is an amazing masseuse. I've been going to her for a few years now since COVID, her space is very warm and inviting as well as her presence. I have a lot of jaw pain from TMJ which also makes its way down to my neck and back and she has very good at pinpointing the spots that need attention but also not applying too much pressure when I am tender, even though I typically prefer a deep tissue massage, I can tell she has great range and can adjust to what is needed depending on the client. Have you ever been in pain and just tolerating it because you assumed it's normal? I've done that for years with pain in my shoulders and neck whenever I'm stressed. I figured and was told "that's where you carry your stress." It got so bad during Covid that I couldn't turn my head at all without shooting pain down my neck and back. I had horrible back pain and I am pregnant, so I did not want to take medicine and wanted to find a holistic cure to my pain. I was in such bad pain yesterday that I was on the ground sobbing--wishing the pain would go away. My mom suggested a deep tissue massage, so I began to look around. During my third trimester is when I started to feel all the aches and pain of pregnancy. I was 38 weeks pregnant when I finally decided to book a prenatal massage. A lot of places in my area were booked for weeks & I went on Yelp and came across Amber. After reading the reviews, I decided to give her a chance. At first I was worried that a prenatal massage may trigger labor because of certain pressure points, however I was completely wrong and was overthinking it. Amber knows exactly what she is doing and knows how to make you feel better. Amber has such a sweet and beautiful soul & she gave me the best massage. The massage was so relaxing that the baby was relaxed too! I didn't feel the baby kick after the massage for the rest of the day and I went to the hospital to check to see if the baby was okay. The midwives said that the massage must have been so relaxing because baby is literally relaxing in you! The baby had her feet crossed and was only wiggling her toes!! Lol! Okay, back to the massage. I booked a 75 minute massage and wished I had the 2 hour massage. I didn't know how bad my body was! Amber massaged out areas that I didn't even know was bothering me. Some of the massage temporarily hurt as I had very difficult knots, but with Amber's techniques she loosened the knots and made me feel so much better.
