Okay, part of me wants to give a lower rating because of the dang wait times here. I ALWAYS have to wait for appointments now, and it's a long wait - usually they bring me back about 45 mins to an hour after my scheduled appointment time. That being said, I have to give 5 stars based on the level of care received, wait times aside. I'm pregnant with our third baby now, and I was worried over a scan yesterday. Alex is a lovely technician and I hope I see her again. Dr Won continues to be a ray of light and such a kind, supportive presence. I just adore her. She's an incredible doctor. She spent a lot of time with me yesterday going over what my scan meant. However, I went home and did what you shouldn't: started internet researching what a certain measurement could mean. Today I spoke with Dr Kellert about my concerns and I'm not even sure I have the words to express my gratitude. He took the time to go over each of the measurements, and each of my specific concerns, and gave me his evidence-based reasoning on why he didn't share the concerns. He was realistic about what might still be part of the journey ahead, but he was so warm, reassuring, and validating. Dr Kellert, you meant the world to me today. I hope you know what an excellent doctor you are. Both Dr Won and Dr Kellert make a true difference in life and I appreciate them so much. read more

Went here 3 times with my wife. The front staff and doctor were nice, courteous, and respectful. The technicians/assistants on the other hand were really bad. They were rude/stand-offish. I know every office and healthcare facility has its challenges. I work in healthcare so I understand. This one is with wait times so bring a book or something to do while waiting. If you have an appointment, you may still be waiting for 20-30 min before being let back in to see your doctor. BUT I will say that Dr Kellart is absolutely amazing. He has great bedside manner, makes me feel at ease with my high risk pregnancy and did my cerclage, which will help save my baby. At the end a healthy baby is what matters and Dr Kellart and the team doing ultrasounds do a great job. I would recommend if you are experiencing a risky pregnancy and want a knowledgeable doctor that is a patient advocate. read more

Most of the techs and all of the doctors here are very kind, and the actual appointments are typically pretty pleasant. Especially the ultrasound sessions where we get to see our baby. While it is rather shocking the amount of appointments we need to make here despite a healthy and thus far smooth pregnancy, this is also our first child so we really don't know any better if the number of scans DVP schedules for us is overkill. What is NOT pleasant about coming to DVP is that despite having an appointment, the typical wait time after arriving on time to be seen is anywhere from 30mins-1hr+! It's absurd that they cram so many people into each time slot and then force everyone to backlog and wait in the waiting room to be called. Additionally, there are NO water stations available and ZERO Wi-Fi to even be able to get some work done while waiting. If you're going to waste people's time in the middle of a workday, at least make the wait more pleasant. Especially for the pregnant ladies! Additionally, we found it strange that they have signs up prohibiting people from taking pictures of THEIR OWN babies on the monitor. read more

The support she's given me throughout this high-risk pregnancy has been crucial for my physical and mental health, and the health of my baby. 4 stars overall - yes the wait times can be long. Been here two times already and was waiting for 40 minutes to an hour. What's the point of having a scheduled appointment if you're NOT going to be seen until an hour later??? Ridiculous and horrible!!! Last time the ultra sound tech was not friendly and just wanted to get her job done. This is my second pregnancy and I've had better ultra sound techs before that were a lot nicer. What horrible experience for someone who is here for their first time. Need to space out apts better. 10-15 minutes wait to be seen isn't a problem but when you're waiting for an hour already? That's ridiculous. read more

I've been coming to this perinatal office for all four of my pregnancies. My visits have included first & second trimester screening as well as NSTs in the last trimester of each of the pregnancies. I've spent a lot of time here. Yes, the wait times can sometimes be long but that's because this is a high-volume unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of needs and complications. Despite how busy they are, every single staff member is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They never make you feel rushed, and the doctors in particular go above and beyond. When they come in, they take the time to answer every question and make sure you feel heard and supported. For those leaving negative reviews about ultrasound pictures, it's important to remember that these are screening appointments, and the main goal is to ensure the health and development of your baby, not to capture the perfect photo. If you want keepsake images and a more "experience-based" session, there are many elective ultrasound studios you can visit. For example, I went to Sweet 3D Baby, spent under $100, and came away with over 20 pictures and videos. This team works incredibly hard under challenging circumstances and still provides exceptional care. In my opinion, they deserve nothing less than 5 stars. read more

This was my first time here and I ended up leaving. I am a single mom and the ladies at the front were more worried about making my two small children wait outside than they were concerned with getting my appointment done in a timely manner. When I told them my two small children will not be waiting outside I decided to leave. I should have been told "no children" policy before when I was scheduled. Horrible experience for a pregnant woman... I was so stressed and felt like they were not there to help. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

They are good but the reason for 1 star is that these people don't know that when patients call their phone number, it goes directly to answering service even on a Monday morning at 10 am! If you have to reschedule your appt, good luck doing so without speaking to anyone or access to online tools like portal. We are in 2025, please! read more

I've had a few great experiences here so far despite being originally a bit worried based on some of the reviews. I will say - I've had a fairly standard pregnancy. All the techs I've met with, and each of the Drs (Traynor, Won, and Kellert) have been great, very friendly, and incredibly informative! I got an amnio procedure done for peace of mind, and Dr.Kellert put me at such ease during. It was a total breeze. Prior to me scheduling it, Dr.Traynor was really helpful by providing me with some information that helped me make an informed decision about getting the procedure done in the first place. All went great! There was one point during the pregnancy where I thought I felt decreased movement - called them and they got me in right away to double confirm that everything was good. Very much appreciated that. Lastly, most recently at my 20 week scan, the tech (sorry forgot her name) was so wonderful! Dr. Won delivered my results and she was great as well. Yes, the wait times can vary - so just make sure you plan ahead for that. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Have always felt like I'm in great hands - & the doctors seem really qualified as well. Dr Traynor is completely unprofessional and a complete donkey. I went here between July 2023 to December 2023. The first time was at my 12 week appointment. Our ultrasound tech was lovely and made the experience so nice. She then said she was going to get the doctor. I was crying cause it was my first kid and the first time that my son looked like an actual baby on ultrasound. Dr Traynor then walks in, looks me up and down and says "This wasn't planned was it?" Me and my boyfriend at the time were stunned. Like excuse me? I was 19 at the time and pregnant with my first baby. He then says that the baby looks good and asks us if we are in school. He then ends the conversation with "well.. stay in school". It's bad enough being judged by your peers for being a young mom but now I had a doctor doing it. What. A. Dick. Dr Traynor if you read this, I hope you stub your toe and your pillow is always warm. Have a terrible life jerk. All the ultra sound techs are lovely and extremely kind. Last time I was pregnant was over 6 years ago. Pregnant again and I've been coming every 2 weeks since about 12 weeks, each time has been pleasant and fast. When a concern for baby comes about they are very gentle and kind with delivering the news. I do wish there was a location out in Brentwood, but traviling the distance to check up on baby to make sure he's healthy and growing with the best equipment is worth it. My OB has ultrasound machines, but nothing like DVPs updated equipment for the best look at baby. As of March 2023 they are only allowing 1 person with you into the ultrasound room. read more

So frustrated with this place. The reviews are true, I waited over an hour to be seen for maybe 15 minutes, the doctor rushed through her explanation to me, and they gave me a total of two blurry photos for my anatomy scan. I paid an extra $5 to get 4 digital photos and they never sent them. I called and they said they would "try" to send them, still nothing. This is such an important exciting appointment and it ended up disappointing and there's no way to get this photos at this point. I already had to take time off work twice because they say their latest appointment is 3:30 but I wasn't seen until 4:30 both times. read more

Do yourself a favor and look for a different place for ultrasound! I've never had to wait an hour for my 10am appointment which I checked in for at 9:56am! All other reviews are right. They really need to respect other people's time and not over schedule. Scheduling problems/how they see their patient is NOT efficient. People have work and places to be!!! My initial OB/GYN referred me to the Diablo Valley Perinatal group when I was in the second trimester after being given the run around at a different facility in Sacramento. I had the majority of my growth scans and all of my NSTs here and I can confidentially say that I'm satisfied with the care I received here. First off, this is a medical facility that requires patients and their guests to wear masks. Being in medicine myself, I don't see any issues with this since they are just taking precautions to protect everyone's health. They do sell masks there for $1 per mask, but if you are like me, I keep a pack of them readily in my car or in my purse. If patients or their guests have any symptoms of a cold (even if it's allergies), they request patients reschedule their appointments to a different day when they are feeling better. This is also an extra precaution to protect everyone's health. I've had to reschedule a couple of appointments because of cold symptoms, including symptoms I got after cleaning up dust (which I'm super allergic to) at my home. If you ever feel sick, I would just recommend calling Diablo Valley Perinatal Group in advance to let them know that you are having symptoms to reschedule. The staff here are respectful and professional. I was thoroughly impressed with the friendliness, knowledge, and respect that I received from nearly all the staff members I encountered. The physician I was initially seeing after each growth scan gave me wonderful recommendations for OB/GYNs in the Concord/Walnut Creek area, so I could be followed more closely during my pregnancy. During my third trimester, I had appointments twice a week for my NSTs and amniotic fluid checks. All of the techs I've encountered were friendly and personable, which made each appointment relaxing and go by quite smoothly. This facility is quite busy, so expect a long wait at times. I recommend bringing something to entertain yourself (like a book, videos, social media, or whatever) during the wait. Just a heads up, patients are allowed to have one guest with them during their appointments. This will make more sense when you see how limited seating is at this facility. 4 out of 5 stars. read more

This is one of the single worst medical facilities I've had the displeasure of visiting. My OB is absolutely wonderful but the one downfall is DV Perinatal is their referring clinic for ultrasounds. First of all, the front desk admin staff is rude as hell. Everyone here acts like they wished you weren't visiting their office. Second, you will wait a LONG TIME every time you come here. I've waited over an hour many times. Third, Dr. Traynor is the most unprofessional, rude doctor I've ever encountered with terrible bedside manner. I can't believe there aren't more 1 star reviews for him alone. I've had over 15 ultrasounds here for my first pregnancy - complete overkill for an entirely healthy pregnancy - but as a FTM, I didn't know any better. My son measured 2-3 days behind his due date (I now know that's very normal) - this clinic made us terrified he had IUGR and pressured us to return EVERY 2 WEEKS for growth ultrasounds. The majority of which my insurance covered only some or none of. I received a bill for $4k at the end of my pregnancy, thanks to all the extra unnecessary ultrasounds. At one of my appointments with Dr. Traynor (when we continued to be pressured to come back for more ultrasounds), we asked if there was anything I could be doing to help our little guy catch up on the 2-3 days of growth he was "behind". Dr. Traynor went on a rant about how the US isn't a "third world country" so there was nothing I could do.... besides the offensive reference, "nothing else I could do" = keep coming back to their clinic for more ultrasounds aka more money in their pocket. This is a clinic that cares very little about your health or your baby, simply the dollar signs. Avoid at all costs. read more

Place is a joke. Had an appointment and am still waiting 50 mins past appointment time. But god forbid you show up late, because then you risk losing your appointment window. With the cost of healthcare what it is - you'd think you'd get at least decent service...but I guess this is what happens when you have a regional monopoly for these types of services. While the care was great, I know for a fact they are ripping people off with their billing department. I received my LAST bill and paid it for $347.50. Months later, received the same bill for the same amount threatening to send me to collections. I paid it again not thinking (mom brain), found proof of the first payment and gave the billing department a call. They claim they never received either payment. I've provided proof that I paid TWICE through the website ON THEIR BILL. I've called 15 times, gotten the run around every time. No help. At a loss for words. I wanted to give a special shout-out to my ultrasound tech, Lauren-she is amazing! This is the second time I've had her. The first time she introduced herself as an intern and I was a little nervous-she's actually one of the best I've had! I seriously wouldn't have even known she was an intern. She is skilled but also very personable and informative. I really hope to continue having her as my ultrasound tech! I've had many different ultrasound techs here, all of them are good, a handful of them are great (including Lauren), and only one was somewhat unpleasant. The two doctors, Dr.Keller and Dr.Won are both phenomenal!! The front desk staff is good too! My only gripe and reason for reducing a star is that there are times when it's super busy and I've waited over an hour past my apt time and where I've called and waited 15minutes just to talk to someone on the phone. Also the parking can really suck at busy times. Since I had a small scare in my own pregnancy and the staff handled it extremely well, I've come to realize that sometimes they fall behind in the schedule because they are extra thorough and extra informative and even sometimes have to deliver unfortunate news to other patients. Overall they are great-just leave extra time incase you are waiting 45min-1 hour past your appointment time. The level of care they give you is worth the wait! Just plan ahead. read more

All of the staff are super sweet and Dr. Kellert and Dr. Won have the best bedside manners and truly care about their patients. When I first started coming here the wait times were a little lengthy but they have improved!! Unprofessional at best. They sent my bill to the wrong address and then told me I couldn't get my next ultrasound until I paid my bill in full. I told them I didn't know there was a bill. Paid the bill which wasn't cheap but I owed it. Then got a notice in the mail I was being sent to collections for the same bill. Logged on to view my bill and sure enough it says it was passed due. Called to speak with the office manger who was not helpful at all. She told me nothing she could do and she did not see that on her end. She said I must have paid it before receiving the bill in the mail. I explained to her online it says I owe it as well and I'm being sent to collections so it not just a paper bill I can ignore. The system is showing I'm past due. She told me it's out of her hands and nothing she can do. No apology or effort to try and figure out what's going on. So I guess we will see if I end up in collections and I can dispute it with my receipt of payment. What a huge waste of time and terrible way to treat patients. read more

If you can, steer clear of this group! It's an administrative nightmare. The wait times are often 30 mins to an hour. The worst part is billing - I have been trying to get in contact with someone for more than two months now to get a statement to claim my insurance. Few reasons it's taken so long: - The office can only mail your statement or you have to go in person to pick it up. They don't do digital statements. The office said they would mailed but about a month later, I still never received it. - My insurance company needs a place of service code on the statement to reimburse. Diablo Valley outsources their billing to a third-party company who has little knowledge of the codes. After several calls, and waiting on hold for many hours, being passed back and forth between the office and agency, I finally get connected to someone who knows what a place of service code is. However, they don't have the authority to edit the statement. They direct me back to the office. - I call the office again, they ask me to call billing. I explain the situation and finally I get passed off to the supervisor. They ask me to leave my contact info and they'll call back. A few days pass. I call back and it turns out the supervisor is on vacation. I call back a week later and they're still out of office. - It's been two months now and I'm still waiting to see if I'll be able to get in contact with the supervisor and if they can help me. read more

Disclaimer: I came here seven months ago when I was in the second trimester and have since delivered. I don't understand all the bad reviews on this place. I came here after multiple unsatisfactory experiences at a different high risk pregnancy place. The three main complaints here and my experience with each: 1) I found Dr. Traynor to be professional and helpful. He came in, talked to me about the results of the ultrasound, asked me if I wanted to have more children and gave me TTC advice based on my age and condition. I did not find him rude or condescending, and I also appreciated that he acknowledged and briefly gave his condolences to my first pregnancy that did not end well. Holly was my technician, and she also made the experience a pleasant one. 2) Photos for $5. Where else can you get photos for that cheap? I'm fortunate that I happened to get good, quality images, but you simply cannot hold them responsible if baby just happens to put her hands in front of her face or turn her head when they take the photo. 3) Covid restrictions: At the time that I went, they were allowing one support person inside. However, my regular OB-GYN's office, my children's pediatricians office, and most other medical places that I know of have been allowing only the patient in due to Covid restrictions. Although it does suck, the restrictions are not unique to this place. Only downsides: they had not sent the results to my OB-GYN when I saw her two days after my appointment here, and I did have to wait almost half an hour to be seen, and I had an early morning appointment. read more

the women doing my ultrasound way great. the male that read my ultrasound was rude and not professiona. I took my 17 year old sister with me because she's so excited about my baby. when the man walked in he shook my sisters hand and not mine then proceed to make eye contact with her while he talked about my baby. then looked at me and told me that because of my size I would have to come in at a later date to check on my baby again. he looked at my sister and said "you small you not small" then said to my sister to "use you sister as a reason to not have kids" like I'm not a 29 year old woman having my second child and married. then he proceeded to say in different ways how "big" I am. he also asked my sister who she was to my baby we said auntie and that she was my sister. again this in my appointment not her appointment I'm clearly the one that's pregnant not my 17 year old sister. didnt feel like I was actually acknowledge about my own baby. my sister and I were very uncomfortable after that interaction with the male. read more

Today, we received a bill for $5, stating that our account is severely delinquent and is being considered for outside collections after 1,064 days. I tried calling them, but there was no response. I just paid the $5 to resolve the issue, but I'm concerned about why there was no communication for three years. read more

Just had a terrible experience calling in to this place. I called and was put on hold waited about 3 minutes it rang and rang then I was hung up on. So I called back and the same thing happened again. So I called again and finally someone picked up she didn't say her name or give any type of greeting so I asked it this Diablo Valley Perinatal and she said yes. She seemed like she was going to help me then she says she had to put me on hold so I asked her not to but she said she had to cause she was in another patients chart and that I would have to be placed on hold. I explained I just wanted to confirm my appointment and she said she couldn't help me and that I needed to be put on hold. So I was out on hold again she finally gets back to me and asks for my DOB and my last name and confirms my appointment. It took less than a minute. It took me 15 minutes for me to get a simple answer. Hire more competent people with compassion and consideration of people's time read more

One gets the impression that the owners and staff at Diablo Valley Perinatal group would be happiest if they didn't have to work with patients. This establishment doesn't give off a medical facility vibe, but a bit more of a carwash, but again, they'd be happiest if you just sent your money in and didn't actually engage in their services. Really terrible across the board. Slow, overbooked and a rude staff. Fundamentally, they really don't seem to care about delivering services. This staff was much more oriented on getting more money out of our pockets, and then acting very rudely when we scoffed. If you have other options I highly recommend exploring them. We left with the impression that this staff would rather not have to deal with patients, and it felt like that the whole time we were there. read more

I've come here for all 3 of my pregnancies. I've known what to expect with the wait times. This year it actually improved for me most visits where I didn't have to wait too long to be seen. But before my last visit this week, I have never had horrible bed side manner from the Drs. I normally get Dr. Kellert who has been amazing and personable but this time, I got Dr. Won who was down right rude as soon as she entered to speak to me. She was pretty offensive in how she handled the conversation and made it seem like my real OBGYN had no clue what she was doing in setting up my appointments. I highly recommend she get some training on how she speaks to patients before she ruins other people's day. read more

The staff is great. They are all very friendly. Most of the doctors are nice as well and some are very cold and just read you your results and leave. Scheduling your next appointment if it is 3 weeks or more out is super easy. I always was able to get times that I wanted. The downfall... the wait time is crazy. Unless you have an super early morning appointment, your waiting 30 minutes to an hour. Even if you are on time for your appointment or a few minutes early. I started scheduling my appointment before 8am and I was in and out. My appointments after 10am I would be hanging out in the waiting room forever. Lastly, the photos for $5. The first couple times I went I received photos. It was exciting and I couldn't wait to come back and get more photos and watch the baby grow. The last 3 times I came and paid the $5 and I never received the photos. I called the day after each appointment when I did not receive the photos. Then followed up once or twice. They never took care of the issue that happened the last 3 visits of not receiving photos. I never received the photos. Super disappointing because I'll never get the photos and it's not something you can do over. I hate to make the photos a big deal but it's an exciting time! Overall the place is alright and has potential to be great. read more

The wait is ridiculous! It doesn't matter how early you arrive, you're always waiting 30min-1hr to be seen. I was given a NST which should've only taken 20 min. I informed the nurse that I have an appt with my OB in 40min. If possible if she could get me out as soon as my 20 min is up (if there aren't any issues). Her response is, "we have a close relationship with your OB, we can call them and let them know." Then she walks out and never came back nor did she contact my OB. She didn't come and check up on me until 40 minutes later?? I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don't know why they even schedule appts for when you have to wait for hrs. I can also see why people are waiting longer than necessary cause they're also keeping patients sitting around in testing area for longer than necessary as well. How is a test that is supposed to take 20min ends up being a 40-50mm test?? I get it if there were some issues but there weren't. read more

Every single time I come here, the wait is more than 30 minutes long. Why do they even schedule appointments if we have to wait so long? Some of us are high risk and have small kids to attend to so the long waits are so unnecessary if you have an appointment. After reading yelp reviews, I checked the box on the form that I only wanted the NT ultrasound and no more. The tech took the measurement and said the doctor needed to come in. The doctor said the result was normal and then proceeded to question me about me not doing more ultrasound work. I said I was fine waiting for the anatomy screen in a few weeks. She said, "Don't you want to know if your baby has two arms and two legs, or if there's a hole in their abdomen?" Or something almost exactly like that, implying my baby might be missing an appendage. I couldn't believe she'd use such aggressive and exaggerated scare tactics to get me to do more exploration. It made me wonder if she thought I was an idiot and weak minded. Instead it made me completely discredit her as a professional. Really hard to believe that whole encounter. Front desk was really nice, the technician and doctor we also really nice. The technician even explained everything we were looking at as she moved through the scan.
