Not everyone carries their physical insurance card at all times, especially when going to urgent care unexpectedly. The most incompetent doctors and staff…read more First they tried to tell me upon registration that my insurance was not valid. 45 min. later she said oh, sorry I was wrong. Than they took me back to look at my throat, the doctor said everything looks fine (although you could look at it and see my one side was very swollen.) She said she would have someone come in and swab my throat. I sat waiting for over an hour and finally got up and left the room. The receptionist said oh, are you still here. I said yes, they were suppose to swab my throat but no one ever came to do that. She ended up doing it. She said the results would be in on Monday - today was Thursday. No one called on Monday. On Tuesday I called them only to be told "well if they didn't call the results must not be in". I called again on Thursday and was told the same, I complained and the girl said she would have the doctor call me. No one ever called. Over a week later and I still do not have any results. And I was in so much pain I went to the Hospital where I was told I have an abscessed tonsil. They said they don't understand why the so called doctor could not see that. It was very apparent. The doctor at this facility should not be allowed to practice medicine and the entire facility should be closed. My rating is less than 1 star. The most horrible experience ever...

They make even the most straightforward service unreasonably complicated. You will still be receiving bills from them a year after your visit. Even though your insurer provides you the exact amount you owe, it will never align with any of the CC bills because CC applies any payment to any bill in any amount and any billing date they want. You make a $50 co-pay at the time of one visit but CC spreads it across five different visits in random amounts- $1.83 here, $2.56 there, $14.85 to another one. Avoid obtaining services from CC at all costs. The level of care you receive won't ever be worth it. Akron General used to be great. Corporate greed got the best of them. CC is the worst.

They have no sanitation in the room.. you must use a bedside commode and they bag the shit and put it in a trash can .you can smell it and it's very unsanitary for an icu. We basically moved from waiting room to waiting room with a couple testing rooms in between. Never a bed. Never a modicum of privacy. Just a bunch of sick people of various degrees sharing a big room, and each others' embarrassing moments. I did not appreciate being privy to someone else's vomit fits from ten feet away--and it happened more than once. My wife, struggling to deal with a painful kidney stone, was never once given the opportunity to lay down or be comfortable. They stuck her in a wheelchair for over five hours, listening to people throwing up and seeing their open wounds ooze, before we were finally discharged. She was not able to rest for even one moment between the pain, pus, and puking. On the way out, it took nearly an hour to discharge. They put us in a cubicle with one chair--there were two of us. I stood up for 45 minutes and not one person offered me a seat. I will change insurances before I ever have to come back here. Shame on Summa. For a "teaching hospital," the only lesson we learned is to avoid at all costs.

He didn't even bother getting another urine sample just told me I could leave. I'm still having the same amount of pain luckily I have antibiotics at home from a while ago. I seen all my test results in all them point to kidney infections. I get my paperwork back and it says blank pain in the wrong spot and it says I have a benign tumor on my uterus that he never mentioned.
