I spoke with Vicki to book the services for ten (10) hours in a late-model stretch limousine in the best condition possible. She said that I would get a 2012 late model limousine. I wanted to make sure I got a car that looked virtually flawless, but that is not what I got. The day of the wedding, the driver arrived about 15-20 minutes early. I was still being photographed and videotaped at that time inside the hotel, so I told the driver over the phone that I would be coming down to meet him at the agreed upon time. Once I got there, I immediately saw that the car was in bad condition with several areas that were bubbling with rust. The leather top was cracked in several places, and even the passenger rear quarter panel molding was missing. I don't believe a 2012 model limousine would be in that condition, so it had to be a lot older. When I looked in the front compartment, the interior was very dirty and disorganized. I told the driver that the car looked absolutely terrible and was not acceptable at all for my wedding day. The driver was nice and got right on the phone with his supervisor. I also contacted Vicki, who immediately apologized, and she arranged for a replacement vehicle to arrive at the ceremony site. Once I took photographs of the limousine as evidence of what it looked like, quite a bit of time had already elapsed. The problem is that my bride and I were late to our own wedding as a result. In addition, the photographers and videographers could not take good photos because of the condition of the car. So the damage was already done on my wedding day. A replacement car did arrive at the ceremony site. It turned out that the original car they sent was the wrong car. But whether or not it was the correct car is not the point. Why would anyone want a limousine that is clearly rusted and has bubbling in the lower door panel??? I wouldn't want that for any event, let alone a wedding. Clearly, I did not receive the product that was contracted and promised to me. Their website says under the link "Latest News" (as of 7/27/2014) that their "professional vehicles are meticulously maintained and cleaned inside out and arrive spotless for dependable service." Not on my wedding day it wasn't. When I wrote an e-mail about my concerns (early in the morning 7/25/2014), I never got an apology or follow-up by e-mail. I did get in contact with Vicki again later in the day, and she was apologetic. However, she said that she didn't feel that any monetary compensation was necessary since the car never broke down, and they were already giving me a good deal below their regular price. They offered a complimentary use of a vehicle at a future time, but that doesn't solve anything. I never want to use their company again. Plus, they did not deliver the initial service as agreed upon, and they ended up being late with the correct vehicle, so they are not entitled to the full value of the services. She promised that the "owner" would call me that day, Friday 7/25/2014, or by Saturday the 26th at the latest. I asked her if I could get the direct phone number to the "owner", but she assured me that the "owner" would definitely be in contact. Guess what?? No response. They have kept silent because they don't want to admit any responsibility for sending a poorly kept-up vehicle and making me and my bride late to our own wedding. Well, I have some news for them. I am posting the pictures of the original limousine for all to see and I am stopping payment on the credit card. Let's see what a judge in court says about whether they completely fulfilled their end of the contract with no damages. Please do yourself a favor and think twice before using their service. Potential customers beware!

Also, if you see them you can just wave them down! My first and favorite driver was Angela. She was so nice and professional. She was so pleasant, explaining the service (since it was my first ride) and represented the business so well that I gave them 5 stars! They run every day of the week from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Some places they go are: The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey Marina del Rey Marriott Hilton Garden Inn Los Angeles, Marina del Rey Cafe del Rey Whiskey Red's Fisherman's Village Waterside Washington Square/ Venice Pier Wish I knew about this sooner. Not the best views or layout, they could use more benches, more signs and more machines. But glad it's there. If you need to get to the area, it beats driving!

For example, I took the van all summer from Arcadia (about 35 miles east of Westwood), and we left at 6:40 every morning and arrived on campus at 7:30. We left campus at 5pm and got home at 6pm. The bus drivers are nice, as are the other riders (everyone chats a little), and everyone's really responsible about letting others know their ride schedules and what days they plan to show up. If you ever need to ride to UCLA on a regular basis, this is absolutely the way to go. The "part time" tickets (basically one way pay-per-ride tickets) are a little expensive relative to the monthly fees, but still less expensive than the cost of gas. Plus, both rides are much faster than driving myself. This service is for responsible people. We have never been more than five minutes off schedule, so there is definitely no waiting around for people to come. Make sure you're on time! The only trouble right now is that there seems to be too few vans. I guess it's impossible for UCLA Transportation to have half-filled vans full of part time riders, but know that as a part time rider you're not always going to have a seat. It's best to check with the driver(s) the night before. And it gets really cold on the vans, which I love but understand that some people hate. All in all, love this service. It's perfect.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Assoc (LAPhil) operates the HB venue. I didn't know some events are sponsored by the LAPhil, others are rented out to outside agencies and have different methods to purchase concert and transportation tickets. I tried to get a transportation ticket for Arcadia Park, but it was not on the list. I called the Box Office and was told Arcadia and Rowland Heights are only available for LAPhil events. I am writing this review so others who live in the Eastern part of LA County will know Pasadena is the best option (when Arcadia or Rowland Heights is not available). The cost was $12.45 for a round-way ticket and includes the price of parking at the Pasadena structure. You must park on Level 3 or 4, walk down to Ramona Street and the HB bus will be waiting at the time designated on your ticket (4:30, 5:30 or 6PM). The bus was clean, it took about 45 minutes to arrive. The bus dropped us off in Lot B, and will take you back to Pasadena 20 minutes after the show ends. It was a good experience, the price was a good deal! NOTE: You can take a chance and buy a ticket the day of the event at the bus stop, but if it is full, you will have to drive all the way to the HB. Save yourself a headache and buy in advance! There's plenty of free designated Metro parking on weekends, which was a nice surprise. Just stay aware of your surroundings and try to ride in a car with other passengers -- I chose the one right behind the train operator, and it felt safe and comfortable. The ride to BMO Stadium took about 24 minutes, and the walk from the station was around 10 minutes. Take the path through the Rose Garden, pass the Natural History Museum and Memorial Coliseum -- BMO is just behind the California Science Center. I'd definitely take the train again from the Westside. The E (Expo) Line is a straight shot to BMO -- super easy and convenient. On the way back, there were plenty of other riders, so it still felt safe. If you don't already have a TAP card, you'll need to buy one from the machine before boarding. The fare is $1.75 each way, so expect to pay around $5.50 total including the card.

The wait times are pretty small during the day, but like most of the metro system in Los Angeles and even more so in the San Fernando Valley... Does slow down in the later afternoon/evening and throughout the night. You can refill or purchase a physical metro tap card at either kiosk east or westbound side. As far as parking and riding metro you're limited to street parking which can have some restrictions as it's most residential, but if you're local to the area this may not even be and issue otherwise the Van Nuys (free), Sepulveda (free) and NoHo Stations ($3 daily) are the closests with parking lots.
