Summer Moon matcha is one of my favorites here. Not only is it light, not too sweet but just perfect for my tastes. Inside, the register cafe were friendly. Inside they have a few tables on the first floor across from the matcha pick up area, then theres some merch also which were all super cute mugs to coffee bags and even t-shirts. On the second floor there are also about 6 tables above. Outside has some seats too. I also do love the options where you can switch out the foam flavors or sweeteners to like strawberry foam I believe because that what my friend got and she said it was good! Please take this review with a grain of salt, because I'm sure that my experiences with Summer Moon are not the norm. I've been to Summer Moon twice. It's a really cute 2-floor coffee shop and the service is friendly and quick. It provides the perfect space to meet someone over coffee, or to work from the shop. The coffee here has a signature sweet cream, which is delicious, however it disagreed with my stomach both times I had it. The first time I got and iced latte with their regular milk (I'm assuming whole milk). It tore my stomach up!!! The second time I went, I got the same latte but opted for Almond milk instead. Why did it also mess my stomach up?!! It's so upsetting to me, because I love the vibe of this place and the way that the coffee tastes, but unfortunately, my lactose intolerance hates Summer Moon. I don't have this problem with Starbucks, 151, Dutch Bros, or Paris Baguette. It's so disapointing, because I'm a sweet cream iced latte kind of girl, but I think it's a wrap for me. read more

This location is a little chaotic but I'm digging the energy. The building is beautiful with ample space inside and outside if you want to hang out and enjoy your drink. We don't have Summer Moon where I live so it's on my list to go to any time I visit DFW. I tend to get one of their seasonal drinks and its never a bad choice. read more

Good atmosphere, very nice spot, and everybody was friendly. Instead of ordering on our own, a good friend asked the staff what to get and they recommended the Summermoon specialty drink. That is the way to do it here. Let them guide you. They have everything from the Mocha Moon to all kinds of specialty options. Nice ambiance with adults and kids, comfortable vibe all around. Plano is not what little miss LA thought it was, or what anyone anywhere probably thinks Plano, TX is...respectfully. A girl is just trying to find a coffee shop around here. I was accustomed to having a few coffee shops on every single block in every single direction at all times. To my surprise, I have one or two chain options max around here since I don't drink Starbucks. One of these options I only drink matcha from so really Summer Moon may very well be the only coffee shop anywhere near by. I've been to this Summer Moon once ever but knew of them from my visits to their Celina location years ago. I wish they were closer to my house because I enjoy walking to coffee every morning which is no longer happening. Odd for a marathoner to mention a short distance in mileage seeing as though 8-9 miles round trip is not far but it's not walkable for a latte on my time restraints. I'm thankful to have found this location as an option for espresso although I'm not sure its location sets me up to be a regular. May try incorporating a visit in the morning before work should my morning routine allow. I'm not even sure who I am any longer without my daily morning lattes and purchasing lattes at work every day just doesn't allow for the separation I appreciate in my day (my coffee vs work if that makes any sense at all - I like these to be two different events, the latte can end up at work but I don't want it from work.) If you're looking for espresso bevvies, I'd recommend Summer Moon. Fairly certain they have no actual competition in the market other than LaLaLand which I feel is more matcha based. After an overpriced BBQ lunch my friend and I decided to go get us a nice cup of coff6and off we went and arrived at Summer Moon Coffee. This place is really quaint, cozy and really busy. This place is well organized, neat and very clean. The only complaint I have is that there was no place for us to sit and enjoy our coffee every table was taken by customers with their laptops open, smoking etc. The baristas were all very welcoming, friendly, sweet smiles and very efficient. My standout was Ms. Perla who did an awesome job as well as Ms. Arrisa and Ms.Sky. I had their drip coffee which was really good as well as their cream cheese Danish, my friend had the hot chocolate which she revaved over and she also had the almond croissant. Staff here are awesome friendly but not enough sitting cause everyone was just lounging around with their cell phones and laptops etc. read more

Had high hopes as this was my first visit with my friend who just moved from Paris I thought this would be a fun place to stop and something different from what she is accustomed and sadly I was not only embarrassed by the lack of professionalism but also the cleanliness and the lack of customer service, this was the Worst coffee experience I have ever had and a waste of $17 - the coffees got one sip and were discarded into the trash outside the door. To start it was our first time so we did not know how everything worked the girl at the register a blonde girl who seemed very shy had zero personality, zero expression, zero smile, and was very vague when we asked questions ...which were how strong are your 20oz lattes and how sweet? Both were very valid questions for a first time visit. The response was "not very" and "normal" "How does the moon milk work" we asked .. we were told if we order the seasonal drink it comes with a standard amount of moon milk .. ok whatever that means so I expressed we do not want too sweet or too strong Her response "it should be fine" Well it was not .. all while we had to listen to loud chatting amongst the employees about customers - one guy and what he drives and what he does for a living and another who comes in and orders an "americano" so very unprofessional. Made the wait awkward .. The coffee had a tiny amount of ice that was melted before we even got out the door and was so so strong and so so sweet - was terrible! Had ordered a vanilla latte and seasonal chestnut latte - we later learned when we asked how many espresso shots - after tasting it that there are four in the 20 ounce which is a stronger drink from the 16 and that we should have specified however when we asked, we were not advised that this was a strong drink so this is why we made it clear we did not want a strong drink and had hoped that the order taker would have made a notation so that the barista could make the drink as we would have liked was very awkward, we were provided no information and had to go with basically what we were given and trust as we felt rushed and uninformed. I visited Summer Moon for a quick study session before heading out of Texas that night. The coffee shop is super cozy and even has an upstairs nook that overlooks the bottom ordering area. This was my first time visiting and I was able to try their signature moon milk, which is a sweet cream added to their coffees. It was absolutely delicious. I haven't have a terrible experience here, a few meh ones so I average those out with the excellent ones as a wash...but this one, I have to express my disappointment. What's more disappointing is that I made the conscious effort to go out of my way to swing by there coming from McKinney, heading to Denton, to get such an ill prepared coffee. It tasted like hot, barely flavored water. I was in Little Elm by the time I took my first sip so it was too late to turn back. I'm attaching photos to capture the state of the coffee - I love the cinnamon latte - this was worse than the coffee the machines at work produce. The whole place has a good vibe, definitely a lot of local would go there and of course tourist too. I would say it's probably one of the good coffee shops when I visited Dallas. I got a strawberry mocha latte, the first sip was straight up strawberry syrup tasted because I forgot to stir well. But after stirring it's pretty good; and I could taste the coffee with it. I think next time I will just get normal latte instead of some syrup in it or at least not strawberry. They have many other new favors, I want to try matcha next time! read more

Got my coffee here all week for a work trip! Summer moon was a staple in Austin TX that expanded to Dallas but did not lose its quality when opening more locations! The moon milk is good but recommend half sweetness. Coffee is a little pricey but their quiches were a great price and tasted really good! I think this place is too hyped...Blue moon Latte - base price $6.14, for subs add $1 so it's about $9 for a latte. I come here a lot as it's walkable and the espresso is consistently sour for my taste anyway. Kept coming back for convenience, all of 3 months then I realized I don't need to come here. But i decided to lower my caffeine and switch back to tea lattes.... Matcha moon latte with lavender - too sweet for me and a total of 11.47 for 20 oz and tip....we have to tip right but I almost didn't with this price Matcha Latte $10.47 with tip total with almond milk and lavender syrup. It's okay but not that great. I finally woke up and realized holy moly I pay too much for the lattes at this shop and it's not worth it. Two stars for ridiculous pricing and consistently sour espressos for their lattes. Soothing Summer Moon has arrived in this cozy spot. Beautiful location, plenty of parking, friendly faces. Pricey coffee- $7 for 12oz, that was with a little tip I left. Lots of cute merchandise. The bakery display was full and fancy. I didn't get a chance to see if there was seating upstairs but I'll be back to this spot. Super cute. Enjoyed my short visit. This location of Summer Moon Coffee has the look and feel of a local, independently owned coffee shop. I was surprised to see that they have many locations and a presence in about 12 states. The staff are friendly , professional and competent. I find the flavor of their coffee to be better than Starbucks and the quality of food to be superior as well. This particular location is somewhat small. The seating area is limited. One thing to note is that their POS has a "add tip" screen which seems to be a trend but I dont particularly like. Id prefer they pay their staff more and not bother me with that. read more

Ironically, the young man who held the door as I entered ended up paying for my order of Decaf Americano and Blueberry Muffin. The staff took the order and the two of us talked and in no time the order showed up. The Americano was great the muffin was good but made else where. These guys are the only place I know where you can get wood-fired coffee. Need I say more? Ok, more - Moon Milk! I can't tell you what's in it - but it makes one heck of delicious latte. Their cold brew is fantastic as well. With all the coffee places around these guys are the difference - their coffee has a unique "flavor" I've never had before and it's a real game changer. The Plano location happens to be a few doors down from my favorite burger spot - it's a great little shop with outdoor comfy seating as well. I was so intrigued by the different types of Moon drinks this place had. Summer moon, winter moon, quarter moon and so forth so I just had to make a stop here when I was in town! I get pretty darn good coffee in California so with the reviews across all the other summer moon locations, my expectations were high! I also watched the great video on how the company brews their beans and it was so interesting! Did it meet the standards and hype everyone talked about? I think knowing the story behind this chain and how the beans are made just made the experience of sipping this coffee extra magical but had I walked in without knowing anything about the chain it would be just a little shy over perfection which is still just about perfect! I got what was recommended to me by the friendly staff and the drink wasn't overly or under sweet, it was perfect! Coffee was smooth , not too acidic!
