What truly made our visit unforgettable, though, was our server, Kevin. He was genuinely out of this world--attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and incredibly personable. We were seated in a corner and it took a long time before anyone came to our table. Our server was then double-sat with a 10-top, so she understandably got overwhelmed, but after that she barely stopped by again until it was time to bring the check. I went through three glasses of water before she finally came for our card. When my food was dropped off, I asked for ranch and had to ask two more times before I ever got it.The steak with the steak frites was good but not worth the cost. I understand being busy, but what was frustrating is that the manager was sitting in a booth on his phone instead of helping on the floor. We made a reservation on a weeknight around 5:30 pm and got seated in a few minutes. The restaurant was already pretty crowded by then, due to their happy hour from 3-6 pm. They have small plates and limited selection of cocktails for $7, which is not bad at all! We were able to get a few drinks before happy hour ended; our waitress was pretty good at reminding us about it. I got their great rum punch and my husband ordered their old fashioned. They also had a guava gimlet, which I will try next time! Drinks are 4/5 due to their inconsistency of their old fashioned. For appetizers, we ordered their brussels sprouts. They were pretty good, and had grapes, ricotta cheese (?), and pecans (?) in it. Tasted really good altogether. 5/5 For our main entree, I ordered their grilled shrimp rigatoni and my husband ordered their fish n chips. Both were great. I definitely will be ordering my rigatoni next time. It had the right amount of flavor and had a kick to it, but it wasn't spicy. It's nice they were open on Christmas Eve and took reservations in advance. We overheard that the wait for no reservations were 3 hours as we were being escorted to our table! For a party of 15+, we expected there to be a wait for things. We were fortunate enough to still participate in their daily happy hour during M-F from 3-6 pm. The HH charcuterie was sad but the spinach dip and hummus plates were decent. They forgot 1-2 HH drinks and charged us full price for some that were ordered. They even forgot one of the kids milk drink and another kids meal while everyone was eating. My medium steak turned into rare, it was very under cooked and chewy I couldn't finish it. The highlights were the Candied Bacon appetizer, featuring thick-cut bacon glazed with a bourbon-infused toffee sauce, and their famous namesake Warm Whiskey Cake dessert. My friends ordered the brussels sprouts and enjoyed them so much that one got an order to go. The pancakes I ordered were okay. I hate to say, nothing to write home about, but you got plenty but they were pancakes. Simple. First of all, these were some of the best Brussel sprouts I have ever had. The Whiskey Cake restaurant's signature appetizer is their Fire Roasted Brussels Sprouts, which features Boursin cheese and grapes as key ingredients, along with a hot honey vinaigrette, spiced pepitas, and parmesan. Whoever had the idea to put this all together, I hope they got an award for it. The mimosa flight was colorful but not sweet enough for me. What an amazing experience....came here for lunch on a friday afternoon. Walked in, was greeted immediately and sat in a booth immediately. The ambiance of the restaurant is bright and welcoming. Decor of a restaurant that loves its brand. The food was equally if not better than the environment. Ordered a margarita and the goat cheese fondue to start and it was better than I could have expected. For my main dish I ordered the French onion burger. Delicious but very messy. The fries with it were soggy though 7/10 The burger was a similar level to the chicken melt 7/10. The whiskey cake is really good with the whipped cream pairing. We have been talking about coming here for at least a year and our schedule is finally permitted for us to enjoy. We arrive on the Thursday night around 5 o'clock and we're surprised to see how busy it was already starting to get. They have a huge selection of bourbons and whiskeys, but also have a huge selection of just general cocktails. I got the mock tail with ginger, pineapple juice, lime, and other items. Definitely was ginger forward, but I really enjoyed it. My friend got the Mocktail called the Ruby slipper and it definitely was an easy drinking beverage on a hot day. I decided to get the chicken melt with the chips. Sourdough bread was really good and the sandwich in general had a great flavor. The chips were definitely the star of the dish. I have been to Whiskey Cakes before, but this was my first time at this location. Thankfully, we were able to call ahead and get our name on the waiting list because it was pretty crowded. We were seated immediately, we were there for brunch, and I had the breakfast sandwich, which was a bagel with egg, arugula, tomato, peppers and a nice sauce. It normally comes with bacon, but I am a pescatarian, so I don't eat meat. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because if you don't eat meat, there are very few options that meet your dietary restrictions. But my sandwich was super tasty and I would definitely get it again. It also came with fried potatoes that were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed a mimosa flight, it was also enjoyable and they did not skimp on the champagne. My friend got some Brussel sprouts for their appetizer and I tried them and enjoyed them so much that I got myself some to go, they were so good!! Went on a Saturday morning with my church group. It was maybe 13 of us so a very large group. We wanted something on the private side so they sat us on the covered out door area. It was a little cold at first but once they turned the overhead heaters on it was nice and toasty. Lourden was our waitress and she did a great job. Some of my colleagues and I had eaten at the sister company restaurant Sixty Vines, had heard about Whiskey Cake through the grapevine, and decided to go for lunch. We started by sharing the Thai BBQ Duck Wings along with some Fried Green Tomatoes, which were absolutely tasty, to prepare our tastebuds for our entrees. Okay, I must admit that I thought it read "Thai BBQ Chicken Wings". So, to my surprise, when they came out, I had to grab the menu again and saw I had misread what I ordered.
