    Creme brulee dirty boba

The drinks we order are amazing the service is good and it's cute lil spot to chill. I love Feng cha

    Matcha latte
    Yu-kwong C.

I've tried Feng Cha before at other locations. It's so nice to see one literally in my neighborhood. I like matcha a lot, so that's what I went for. The drink was ready very quickly. It looked very appealing with its two tone look - the green matcha on the top and the white milk foam on the bottom with the boba pieces at the very bottom. Taste-wise, it was creamy with a strong grassy matcha flavor, which I liked a lot. The boba was chewy and sweet. They also offer other milk tea drinks, like black, green, and oolong tea, as well as fruity drinks. I'll come back to try some of those next time. There are a couple of self serve kiosks if you're tech inclined. I tried it for the first time, and it wasn't difficult to use. The place is clean, neat, and inviting. Come check it out if you're in the area.

Taro milk tea and creme brulee

We got the Dirty Taro milk tea and the creme brulee. It was both good. I did request for half sweet on my creme brulee but it was still very sweet . Next time I will do 25% sweet. The Taro one was good. Service was good. It can get loud when the cafe is full.

Mango green tea + cheese foam
    Faz K.

Feng Cha has something i love. And that's mango green tea and cheese foam, a killer combo I wouldn't hadouken my way out of if a hadouken i could. They also have tiramisu foam which i licked of the cap of my drink today and let me tell you it's pretty good. I can't speak to the service since it was self order and the two staff people were busy making drinks, really busy. I can speak to other things i liked. They serve the foam drinks with caps with sippy cup spouts. Thank you common sense! The caps have a built in stopper which is a neat feature. I wish the cap had the little air hole though. Small complaint, won't stop me from going back... Unless they stop with the cheese foam and mango tea and then it's dead to me. Bye!

Very slow to get the orders out. Milk tea was not shaken enough. Boba was ok, a little sweeter. Staff were nice.

Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

The baristas are all super friendly and were happy to answer all my questions. It's also super cozy with dim lighting, and the music isn't super overpowering or loud. There's mostly comfy couches but also a few tables and high top seating. Just a little chilly, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. I was able to comfortably complete some work on my laptop, with working wifi. There were also people here socializing in the morning. They no longer serve breakfast tacos, so I opted for a bacon cheddar scone at one visit and a lemon blueberry scone on another. They were both delicious! The baristas told me that their chai leans toward the sweeter side versus the spicier side, so I opted for an iced sugar-free vanilla latte, which was not overly sweet. I also tried the beez neez (latte with honey and cinammon) another time and enjoyed it! They offer 2% milk, which I don't always find at coffee shops. Since it's in downtown Plano, there's street parking, which wasn't difficult for me since I came at 8 AM. I believe there are parking garages located nearby. Overall, I've greatly enjoyed 1418 Coffee and will most definitely be visiting more throughout this month while I'm working in the area!

Coffee tasted very nice, but I wish I'd had a plain coffee option as far as beans go. My three choices were a citric/acid, a double the caffeine hazelnut or decaf. I would have appreciated a simple smooth robust bean option. All that aside, the coffee was well prepared, staff were great and I didn't end up with a massive caffeine high - despite ordering the double the caffeine bean. You order from a giant touchscreen rather than from a barista, which felt like a lot of work. Doable, but part of my coffee experience usually involves asking questions and getting advice from the person who knows the roasts and the drinks best - the barista.

Pleasantly warm, cute Christmas decor, and ordering kiosks were a big plus. It was quiet and playing nice Christmas music. Bf got a mint mocha and I got a hot chocolate with added peppermint. I really liked my hot chocolate--the same price as my Starbucks order but way higher quality. Bf commented that both drinks were on the sweet side for him but I still thought his was bitter, as someone who doesn't like coffee. Overall, a really cute place! We will be back to try the waffles and maybe some pastries.
