Coffee- Salted Maple Latte- very sweet, barely taste the salt and neither myself or husband could taste maple. Toffee Butter Latte - better. But bitter. Kids had chocolate chip cookies- they seemed to enjoy themselves, I wish they had kid beverage options. We ended up with bottled soda. It took close to 15 minutes for our two coffees. This place really should be a (3.5/5) but note that it comes from a biased person who doesn't like Blonde Roast Coffees. It's really lovely place where the drinks come out quickly even when the lines are long. The drinks are well-made and beautiful as well. The reason for the low score is the really horrible taste of the beans. They use a blonde roast which makes the coffee extremely acidic. When we walked in, all of the 20 year old workers were sitting in the floor behind the counter laughing at TikTok's. It took a minute before someone helped us. The coffee bean flavors are odd, things like pink grapefruit and tobacco. For some reason, the girls behind the counter were blasting videos so loud everyone in the cafe could hear it. There's also no music playing in the shop so it's awkward and quiet while you watch them goof off. The menu is complicated and the smoothies are syrupy. Would not recommend. read more

I've been here multiple times before and the service is usually slow but latte pretty decent. We visited today and the young man with curly hair had big attitude when we ordered. There were two of us that ordered drinks and a two snacks. Both drinks were wrong and one snack was wrong so got 3/4 of order wrong. When we tried to say our order was incorrect he blows up and said he remake it but we declined. We gave a good tip. Threw out our drinks and decided we just won't be back. I'm a fan of their chai tea latte and my coffee-fiend friend/co-worker is a fan of several of their specialty coffees. He often selects Liberation as a place for work meetings so we're here often. The drinks have never disappointed. Service can be hit or miss which is why I deducted a star. Thankfully when it's less than stellar, at least it's limited. The environment is chill as you would expect for a coffee shop. It's not huge but they offer indoor seating and outside there's a ton of seating around the fountain. The only time I've had trouble finding a spot inside was during peak time. I recommend swinging by and grabbing a drink then exploring the area. Grandscape, where Liberation is located, is a massive collection of attractions, retail and dining. read more

If you need a caffeine pick me up while in the Grandscape, Liberation is where it's at. It's a great cafe with good coffee, though sometimes the baristas seem a bit hit or miss with the drinks. Mine was fine, but my friend's needed a bit of tweaking, which they were happy to do. I got an iced vanilla latte and nothing beats good strong espresso, cold milk and enough sweetness to boot. They have some other options too that looked interesting (Liberator anyone?) that I would love to try on another visit. One annoyance - they don't open till 9 on Saturday, which is a bit late for my morning caffeine fix, but guess you wouldn't necessarily be in the Grandscape at that time. read more

A small little coffee shop straight out of the late 90's as it was giving Friend's cafe vibes when we walked in. I don't do much coffee, so I asked the cashier what she would recommend. We had a great first time visit here! Eiland coffee is always great and that's what they serve here, so you can't go wrong. It was pretty quiet in the space as we went before most of the shops were even open in Grandscape. Which is fine, we like when it's a little calmer! I ordered the honey cinnamon latte with oat milk and it was perfect! Not too sweet, and I could still taste the espresso come through. Mom went with us and ended up ordering two drink because she 1.) needed to wake up hahaha, and 2.) she loved the coffee so much she figured she would get a second one here instead of somewhere else later. My daughter just wanted a plain bagel which the man working that morning lightly toasted it for her and she loved it. Stopped in for coffee today and was pretty underwhelmed - not just with the coffee, but with the service and the cleanliness off the bathroom. The employees weren't what i would call friendly. The person taking my order was silent and almost seemed miserable while the person making the coffee had a hostile air about them. I ordered a latte and wasn't a fan of the flavor. After ordering, I headed to the restroom, and was pretty surprised to see grime in the corners of the bathroom. You can tell it doesn't get thoroughly cleaned. If I had seen that before I ordered my coffee, I would have just left. This place is very clean, nice and the coffees we had were very good. Prices are not too extreme. My only drawback is the amount of people taking up space to do their office work, business meetings and phone calls included. They can get pretty loud, take all the comfortable benches and make it difficult to enjoy a relaxing coffee meet with a friend. Once the weather gets warmer, we will sit outside and enjoy the beautiful fountain, away from the obnoxious "business" behavior. read more

The coffee here was terrible. My wife and I are avid coffee drinkers who have tried numerous coffee places across Texas and the United States. Unfortunately, this was the worst coffee we've ever tasted. Not only was the taste unpleasant, but when we arrived, there was no one behind the bar. We had to wait for about 5 minutes before an employee finally appeared. To make matters worse, we both ordered one of the more popular and recommended coffees. Great spot to get some good coffee. The essence is peaceful and is a nice place to come after having dinner. The other liberation locations are great too. Never have I had bad service in the 100s of times I've drank liberation coffee and I was not disappointed with this location. Give it a try to see for yourself. My future mother in law loves the "mine coffee". Only say it that way, because I cannot remember exactly what she ordered. It's not crowded inside or out. Going to be a great study spot for students that move into those apartments. In walking distance of all of grandscape.
