Very cozy small cafe spot, but the menu is not limited, They have so many options of drinks- as well as non-dairy and coffee options! They have awesome seasonal drinks. We tried the Peach Cobbler Latte, on of their seasonal drinks. So good, even the little touch of cinnamon! I also ordered their Nitro Sweet Black, perfect cold brew with a touch of sweetness is perfect! Definitely recommend to any coffee lovers out there. read more

This was a great coffee shop! Very cute and warm and a romantic place to maybe have a coffee date. I got the matcha green tea and it was creamy and delicious. However it is a bit pricey, but nevertheless a better alternative to Starbucks. I think I would come back and try some new things. But I hope they have some more coupons and discounts in the future. read more

Terrible customer service!! I have been getting the drip coffee here for 4 months since I've found this place. I've decided to stop coming here because they want to charge customers an extra $1.00 if you ask for a splash of cream or half/half in your coffee. Although a bit pricey, Summer Moon is more than worth the hype. Between the moon milk and the oak-roasted coffee beans, I've never been disappointed with a drink I've had from here. For first timers, I recommend getting a quarter winter moon* (1/4 moon milk + 3/4 skim milk) as it's not as sweet as a regular winter moon or half moon. Other great options are the iced blue moon (a quarter moon with lavender added), the matcha moon, and the Sean Connery (3 shots of espresso + 3oz of moon milk over ice). As a bonus to non-dairy drinkers, you can get their moon milk with a dairy alternate base! Along with the great drinks themselves, Summer Moon has great customer service, both in-person and online. The University Blvd location in particular has some of the friendliest baristas around! A special shout-out goes to one of the team members who, despite being in the middle of a huge rush one of the last times I visited before Covid hit, was super helpful and patient with the new barista he was training (unfortunately I don't know either of their names, but as a former food service worker myself, the dynamic really stood out to me). Likewise, for the few times I've asked the Summer Moon team a question on their Instagram account, they've always been really quick at getting back to me! *In Summer Moon lexicon, their hot drinks are called "summer moons" and the cold drinks are called "winter moons". read more

Love the mocha here, it's on my top 3 of best coffee. Some may not like it, like my sister saying it's too sweet. But not for free. It's just right. The place is nice to sit down and chat , especially in the mornings when the sun hits. read more

I dislike coffee shops. Coffee shops tend to burn black coffee beans and their other drinks just taste like bags of warm sugar. Not Summer Moon cafe. I can get a black coffee that tastes great. Coffee that doesn't have a hint of boiling soy sauce. Good coffee. And their more sugary coffees are something. Hints of lavender. Soft textures that go down smoothly. It's a different experience. Finally got to try this place to see what the hype is all about. As a first timer, of course I went for the famous iced half wintermoon latte. Got the 16oz for $5. It's pretty good, the sweetness is perfect for those who don't have a bigg sweet tooth but still want to enjoy a little sweet drink without losing the coffee flavor/taste. This drink really reminds me of Vietnamese iced coffee, just with a different taste/kind of coffee beans. If you don't have a big sweet tooth, ask for a quarter moon and it'll be perfect. The staff is really nice and provides amazing customer service. They really take time to explain their specialty if you don't know what to get. The shop is nicely decorated. They have a good amount of tables and chairs but it fills up very fast with students and people who work remotely. In my opinion, the coffee is great but I think it's a bit overrated. $5 is also a bit expensive for a 16oz. This wouldn't be my go-to coffee shop, but I'll come back if I feel like I want to splurge a little once in a while. read more

I fell in love with Summer Moon this last year and it has become my favorite choice for coffee. I went to the location today on University in Round Rock Texas. As always the coffee was incredible and the staff very helpful. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect review is due to the pastries. Today I had my go to almond croissant and it was not nearly as good as in the past. Honestly, it wasn't very good at all. I was informed they had changed the bakery they had been using. Let me preface this by saying, I am not a coffee drinker. I will bail to a mainstream coffee shop purely out of convenience for coffee I can choke down quickly for a pick me up. BUT if Summer Moon was in San Diego .. I would be there every single day. No question. I was so unsure of what to get because I'm used to just a few shots on ice with cream and let's get on with the day. But Summer Moon really has put time and thought in mastering coffee as a craft. I opted for the 007, which is pretty close to my usual order elsewhere, but not on ice. When I say one sip had me wanting a freakin extra extra large cup of this to just sip through the day I am NOT kidding. The Moon Milk is something SM makes exclusively and it's honestly the most heavenly version of coffee creamer I can think of. I would honestly have this shipped to California if I could. By far the best coffee in town. I go here every day without fail and absolutely love summer moon. Most of the time I go to the Avery Ranch or Burnet location which has great food options as well. My only problem with the Round Rock location is the food options are different than everywhere else, and it really isn't any good. The tacos are not the same as Tacodeli, and it shows. They also don't have the same banana bread options I wish the other locations had. All in all, great for the coffee but go to another location if you're hungry. read more

I've driven past the Summer Moon Coffee Shop many times. This is the very first time I ever went inside and I'm so glad that I did. Upon entering the Summer Moon coffee shop the aroma of fresh coffee beans welcomes you. The Summer Moon coffee shop is clean, the servers are friendly and they patiently explain what the drinks are made of. The drinks are made to order. I ordered the Espresso Milkshake which taste Soooo delicious! The Espresso Milkshake is chocolaty, creamy, tasty, cold and very refreshing.
