It's adorable. Employees were friendly. The "moon" sweetener is VERY sweet, just a warning. It's also high calorie. I got the quarter moon and honestly I probably would have been good with a 1/20th moon. It's probably an option to just get a splash of it (which is what I would do next time) but I wanted to try what they were known for. Baked goods looked awesome. Cute little area with kids toys and small table for them. Honestly only taking away one star because there's no drive through and let's face it, that would be more convenient some days. Even though I live in GVR, I happily travel all the way from the East Valley to Thornton to order our favorite drink, buy the latest merch and enjoy it all with a tasty pastry I am always greeted with a smile and fast, friendly service when I go. First time going there yesterday and I ended up going twice. The first time I got a quarter moon and it was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The moon milk is basically like a sweet cream and it can come with dairy or dairy free. The second time I got the cinnamoon latte which is cinnamon, half moon milk and half oatmilk! It was delicious! I've worked at starbucks before but have found it to be boring now and this new cafe is a great change. They have a lovely staff who greets you as soon as you come in, they break down the menu and they want you to be satisfied with your drink. If you're on the fence about going or not, I obviously recommend you go RIGHT NOW!! The aesthetic of this place is amazing too, I will definitely be doing work in there!!!! read more

Summer Moon is definitely not for everyone. I can totally understand why people would love it, and I can represent the few who couldn't finish even half my drink. First off, the cafe itself is very cute and a perfect study spot-- not too crowded, natural light. The service is quick and friendly. I ordered a chai latte with the Moon Milk-- I didn't know what it entailed and ordered with a "why not? I love trying new things" attitude. The first sip was incredible! Silky smooth and thick and sweet. The second sip, then the third sip. Then I had to stop. It was SO overwhelmingly rich, like melted ice cream. Literally, I thought I was drinking melted ice cream. The Moon Milk must be like heavy whipping cream. I seriously could not stomach another sip. But, if you think you would enjoy a drink like that then maybe this place is for you (lactose intolerant beware)! read more

I'll make this simple: THE COFFEE TASTES GOOD! Oak roasting coffee makes a wonderful difference and adds an amazing something to the coffee which I have never experienced otherwise. We live in the Denver Metro area and were thrilled to find out that we would not have to wait until our next Dallas trip to have the Summer Moon experience. Not only was it super refreshing, but one of the best cold brew combinations I ever had. Coffee is really good! It was my first time visiting and I was greeted so nicely and was recommended a winter moon latte. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the coffee. I'm not a super sweet coffee person, so I will probably get their 1/4 moon drink next time. Pastries are also really good and they can warm them up for you. I wish that I could give a good glowing review of our new neighborhood coffee shop. I have been there a couple of times, and their product is very good. I must warn you though to watch out for sneaky unethical fees: I started using their app on my phone, mainly because it allows me to be more specific with my order, well long story short they added a $1.00 service charge at the very end without my even realizing it, and with no explanation of what the fee is for. While waiting inside for my order I realized that the price seemed higher than it should have been, and I went back and saw the service charge. I asked the cashier and the baristas there which were all very nice, but nobody really new what the service charge was for. So I went back home and emailed the corporate office, and this is the answer I got: "Thank you for reaching out to us! We apologize that the fee appears to be deceptive! The service fee is the fee our app charges to help cover costs including technology fees, credit card fees, support, development, and much more. We hope that is helpful! We do not gain any profit from this fee. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns!" I use the apps for many restaurants and coffee shops, and I have never seen anything like this before. This is absolutely a deceptive charge, and I don't appreciate it. Just be upfront with your charges, and don't try to sneak in an extra fee. I did reach out to them again and never heard back. read more

Had the Americano and it was great. Nice ambience and lines goes by quickly. The team has always been super cool and friendly! Only bummer is that there is not a lot of seating (bc it's always taken, which in retrospect, is a good thing). Unfortunately, we can't hold any business meetings or coffee dates there. It's more of a grab your "coffee to go" type of joint. Maybe they can open a patio? Not sure there's space...Good local spot overall. read more
