When I called back to understand why I had been hung up on, I was passed from person to person without anyone taking responsibility. The only explanation I received was, "We're busy and prioritize our in-person customers. Anything else?" I completely understand that restaurants get busy, and I have no issue with a delayed order or even an occasional cancellation if necessary. However, being treated dismissively, interrupted, and hung up on for asking a simple question is unacceptable. Being busy is not an excuse for disrespectful customer service. If your store is unable to fulfill DoorDash orders during busy periods, that's understandable--but don't accept them only to cancel them immediately, leaving customers waiting days for their money to become available again. A little courtesy and professionalism would have gone a long way.
