The Cow is the iconic, staple ice cream spot in Reisterstown, Maryland. A true classic dessert spot that offers some of the best soft serve in town. The chocolate and vanilla soft serve are both delicious and creamy. The ice flavors are also some of the best, as they're soft, and melt in your mouth. The mint cookie is a favorite. Service can be slow, especially when there's a long line, but it's always worth it. There's outdoor seating, making it the perfect ice cream experience, especially in the summer! There's also a huge parking lot in the back to accommodate a lot of parking! You can also enjoy The Cow from their ice cream truck around town! They're always at local events and popping up around Baltimore.

The custard was quality. So fluffy and creamy my son thought it was cold whipped cream. The girl that helped us was very good at recommending us on our decisions and patient with indecisive kids. They also have plenty of seating and a pleasant little spot for a fun filled dessert.

Love the friendly service and multiple frozen choices. There's seating nearby if you don't want to eat in your vehicle. While you're there snap a fun picture with the cow out front.

I use to come here all the time when I was younger so being back in town, I had to stop by. I always enjoy a simple vanilla ice cream and this is always such a great spot for it. Creamy and smooth, one of the best ice creams in the area!

NOTHING beats the cow. It's always amazing! I always opt for the s'mores sundae but really anything would be good. They always have "specials" too that include fun ingredients!

We've come here tons over the past couple years. We have plenty of snowball places and creameries in the country but this is still our fave. I pretty much get the same thing every time although I do increase and decrease the amount of whipped cream and cherries based on how I feel. Sundae: - Vanilla base - Fudge - Rainbow Jimmie's - Cherries - Whipped cream We occasionally bring our dogs or take home some plain custard for them. They also love it. =) Definitely will miss this place when we move shortly but we grew up in the MD/PA areas so always lovely to visit. Plus I have one of their cow print hats so I can never truly forget it.

Delicious. Got a concrete and it was amazing. The smaller size is totally filling. Amazing quality ingredients and fast! Parking in the back makes going here a breeze. Covered patio with chairs allows you to eat and people watch at the same time.

I got a gelati which is a mix of the ice (flavor Skylite) and custard (flavor vanilla). This place has some of the best custard I've ever had! That gelati is all I was thinking about all weekend. I'm giving them four because my boyfriend got a brownie sundae, and I love brownie sundaes... I hated it. I liked how the brownie was chopping into chunks so that it gave the ice cream some texture, but... the taste of the brownie itself simply wasn't there. It's was an edible but very meh brownie sundae. Go for the gelati, so good. And the custard comes in different flavors!! I just tried the safe option - vanilla.

Frozen cake butter custard cone dipped in chocolate (hard shell)

I've passed by the cow multiple times and never thought to actually stop here to get something but i finally decided to try it and was not disappointed! I ordered the cake batter custard on a cone and dipped in hard shell chocolate. This decision was definitely a good one, the cake batter custard is delicious and the hard shell chocolate was a perfect topping. The cone was very basic, definitely not that great! But i really enjoyed my experience there, customer service was great! There is parking available! And for a regular sized milkshake and cone our total was about $6 which isn't bad at all compared to places like coldstone. Will definitely return!

Great neighborhood gem. My family has frequented this business for years randomly throughout the week day, after school/ work, after Friday Night Festivals at Franklin Middle and double time on the weekends. I have family who travel from 20+ miles away for this dessert perfection and they're never disappointed!! The flavors are endless and the staff is youthful, pleasant and quick. There's always a line but that line moves quickly. I'm so happy to have this local gem so close to me and I look forward to many more visits there !!

The italian ice melts in your mouth and is some of the best in the area (which says a lot because I have tried everywhere!). The flavors are unique and draw you in. The workers were so patient with my family and I trying several flavors before finding our favorite! The shop was quite busy with kids and families. It was loud and busy, but it felt like a true, local night. My family and I have "Dessert Sundays" and going to Sunset Slush was the perfect choice!

Then they gave my daughter about 1/3 of a small cup of ice and still charged me $3.50. No offer to add a different flavor to get to the right size. But worse, they added that flavor to the "we have it" board right in front of me after saying that they could only scoop that tiny bit. It made no sense. When I asked when they might have the rest of the menu in stock, I was told they didn't know because they have to go get it. Huh? So do that! How can you run a business this way? The girl behind the counter made it seem like I was bothering her by asking her to actually do her job. I used to like this place and make the 20 minute drive several times a summer. But, it's definitely not the worth the drive to Glyndon anymore. Very disappointing.

July 2026 update: A second visit to Glyndon Grill was again great but also surprising:…read more What was great: the creamy crab soup, the intrinsic value of the restaurant week lunch package and the service. Everything all of us ate exceeded expectations and also represented a fine value, but the creamy crab soup was truly special. What was surprising: That the restaurant was nearly empty on a summer Tuesday. Yes it was hot out and a weekday. Still, based on the cuisine and experience, they deserve to be packed always. We had made a reservation that in hindsight, we did not need. What else was a little surprising: the staff charitably offered to split our check without even being asked. So often such a request is greeted with sighs or worse. Little things mean a lot! ***** A lunch reservation required on a weekday? Really. At Glyndon Grill, unless you are arriving by say 11:45am, the answer seems to be a resounding yes. By the time we left at 12:30pm, not a speare table was seen. And Glyndon Grill deserves its popularity. What makes a lunch spot (they are open for dinner too) so very popular. Adjacency to the always-popular-and-stellar Santoni's Market cannot hurt, not can the upscale neighborhood, but come for the food and service. I was focused on health-conscious fare, the the menu offered a diversity of intriguing choices. My premixed (with dressings on the side) Cobb Salad was wonderful. I could choose just how much of the mouth-watering fried chicken morsels I did and did not ant to eat, calorically. My tablemate, also watching pounds and inches, got the grilled salmon with broccoli. Neither could have been better. Best of all was our waitress Anne. Ask for her by name. Supreme professionalism dripped from her every word and action. Attentiveness and pleasant without being obtrusive at all. Yes she probably wanted to turn the table (but you could not tell unless you intuited that fact), and we accommodated because her happiness made us happy too.

There was a brunch menu, so they didn't serve all dinner items but the menu was very good with a variety of breakfast and lunch selections. Everything was good!
